Week 5: Continued LST to maintain a low and spread-out canopy while transitioning fully into early flower. Pre-flower is clearly established now, with multiple tops forming and the structure holding steady after the final adjustments.

Everything went smoothly over the past week. The heat is still sticking around, but the Papaya Cookies isn't complaining at all—she’s maintaining those gorgeous, lush green leaves and the small buds are developing quite nicely. To keep things safe from pests, I gave her another round of neem oil this week to ward off any potential thrips and spider mites. On the watering front, keeping the top layers from completely drying out has been a bit of a juggling act due to the hot weather, but we're managing. Following the schedule, I mixed 10ml of Biotabs Bio PK into 1 liter of tap water and gave her a nice feed. She's cruising along wonderfully!

It's really interesting from using the Smart Proteins, i think how they work is that the plant is able to process them and compensate any kind of slight deficiency which means that each plant that gets the proteins is able to grow to it's maximum potential and at the same time grow to its **individual** potential... that's why each of these plants has so much "character", because if you look closely it's less a question of phenotype but more like "individual expression".... INTERESTING !!! Anyway that's about the visual... my main concern about these is how loud they f-ing smell !!! ITS PROBLEMATIC, so be conscious of that if you plant to grow these one day ! REALLY REALLY LOUD, honestly there should be an additional category on GD like "problematic" which is beyond the "strong smell" category. I have two large carbon filters on two 1330m3/h fans and it's a problem. Hope you understand how unusual that is for a plant in veg lol... I think the smart protein probably affects how strong the plants smell because all the plants seem more smelly than expected... TBH i'll fix the smell issue but hopefully it's a good sign and an indicator of the quality i can expect by harvest time? These also got two rounds of defoliation , and i flipped them to flower like 4 days ago. This was an exciting veg to me, but now is when it gets interesting, let's see how beautiful these flowers are !! Test genetics always have that little bit of mystery to them right? Well I said I was leaving her untrained but on day 56 I gently tied back a few branches to open up the canopy. This is looking like it's going to be my best grow yet.

A day early on week five - the girls are coming along nicely. Just leaving them out in the sun and making sure they are not too dry. Started adding some Fox Farms this week. Still contemplating some kind of technique, not sure I want to stress them. Perhaps defoliation? Open to comments. Cheers!

Happy I made it to harvest as I know that’s a lot of first growers issue. She’s sticky, funky, and chunky. Nothing bad to say. I definitely learned some things that I’lol be implementing next grow. Probably do another run of Autos from Mephisto as I have a few. But my goal is to get into the Photos, preferably the kushiest of the kushy lol. If anybody has any suggestions of some fire Gas, point me in the direction. More updates to come, so for the next week or so, just monitoring. Stay high growmies!

🌾 Week 27 Harvest Update 🎉✂️ Harvest week is finally here — and what a run this has been 🙌🌱. Both plants were taken down right on schedule, with trichomes sitting in that sweet spot: mostly cloudy with just a touch of amber ❄️✨. The flush did exactly what it was supposed to do, and the fade coming into harvest was clean and natural. Red Hot Violet finished strong 💜🔥 — dense, well-stacked buds with rich coloration and heavy frost. Structure held up beautifully all the way through chop, a clear payoff from the long veg and training. Amaretto Sour was an absolute treat to harvest 😮‍💨🍋

Day 28 - These ladies are growing like crazy! 2 of them are already almost as tall as my white widow autos that are about 2 weeks ahead! Day 30 - Still stretching like crazy, starting to look much better though I have to say! Day 32 - Ladies are starting to get nice & purple!

She continues to pile on the trichomes and is taking on a exquisite purple hue to her flowers! She is definitely one of the most photogenic cultivar's I've grown and is looking lovelier by the day! 😍 9/24- We're getting close to wrapping up Week Six of flower in a couple of days and she'll be around four more weeks from finishing, with the most exciting weeks yet to come! I didn't water yesterday and today I went ahead and Top Dressed her with 2 tbsp/g Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4, 1 tbsp/g Dr. Earth Gold Premium 4-4-4, 1/2 cup Down To Earth Bio-Fish, 1/3 cup Down To Earth High Phosphorus Bat Guano and 2 cups of Worm Castings. I watered in the Top Dress with 1.5g of de-chlorinated water which was ph'd to 6.2 @ 72℉ and let her enjoy her meal! 😜 9/26- After her heavy watering on the 24th I didn't water yesterday and when I checked her today at 'lights on' and she still had some weight to her pot and her leaves were praying hard so I held off on watering today and will hit her tomorrow with her usual 1.5g watering. ~Thanks for stopping in! Last year I’ve tried my first Blueberry’s family strain ever, the Blue Cheese. I loved her. One of the best high I’ve ever had. Since then, I decided to try them all. I chose this strain because she is almost 100% indica and because I wanted to do a RQS only cycle, and unfortunately they didn’t have the original Blueberry (please RQS, add her to the catalog!!!). By the way, although I have two Blue Mystic, only this one has her own diary. Her sister is similar, but located at the opposide side of the box. Well, they have been the first, together with the Gorilla, to show pistils and then create the first small flowers. Couldn’t be happier, especially after the problem (with a defective digital timer) that caused the flowering phase to delay by 2 weeks. I’ve just removed some lower leaves that coudn’t get the right amount of light, and since the soil was a bit dry, I’ve given 500ml of water (and nuts) more. Because of the delay (in which I’ve started giving bloom nuts), I’ll have to give them “week 3” nuts for two more weeks, maybe reducing by 50% the B-52 and Big Bud dosages (they could be a little too much). Day 56-63 (Day 5F-12F) (Day 6) Water retention is still a big issue in this soil, even with the reduced amendments, loose compaction and added perlite. Pots just aren’t drying out fast enough and I still need to water in enough to reach the bottom. I wish I had some flood trays for this exact reason so I could bottom water instead. (Day 9) I’m going to try running 2 liters of water through each pot until I see a good amount of runoff on each plant. Maybe the nutrient content of the soil is just too high. If this doesn’t work, I got nothing. Plants are drooping like crazy but that’s not surprising as I just flooded them. I’m going to turn on the carbon filter to clear out the humidity a lot faster. Over the next few days I’m going to let the filter suck the life out of this tent until it’s bone dry. If I start seeing deficiencies arise from my minor flush, I will foliar feed some 1-1-1 kelp and some 3-0-0 calmag. I highly doubt I will see any deficiencies but it doesn’t hurt to plan ahead. (Day 11) Ladies responded well to that heavy watering which is a little surprising honestly. The pots are still soaked and super heavy but they seem to be happy. (Day 12) I’m really not seeing any well defined bud sites which is not a good sign at this point. I have never grown under HPS and have never flowered a true 10 week strain so it could just take a little longer in early flower. So far I’m unimpressed

Disaster strikes, I find bud rot in a couple of the biggest colas of the centre plant, I remove the colas, salvage what I can, i now understand I have too little airflow for the number of plants in the tent, I am vigilant with looking for more bud rot, which I find in the biggest colas of the small stout indica plant, I presume its mostly indica from its shape, I remove, salvage and begin to dry what I can save I install another more powerful fan on max speed with acoustic duct to keep fan on max speed, I install another fan to blow across the plants 5oo, humidity drops, everything looks good again to go forward, no further signs of bud rot
