we continue the run with the slowing down of the stretch and the beginning of the beautiful flowers. This week my EC indicated me some things... It was at 1.8 and went up to 1.9, so I added water to lower the ec to 1.6. When my ec goes back up it tells me that I have enough nutrients in my solution. Now, the ph is back to 1.7, I will add more water to bring it down to 1.5. We can observe on some leaf tips a beginning of over-fattening, this is what I'm talking about above, I'll let you know next week if I lower the ec or if I keep 1.5. I did one last defoliation and it was needed! If you look at my vitals, it's not crazy, 70% humidity at this time of the year can become problematic, so I'm going to take the dehumidifier out and set myself at 55%.

Since I need to do a bud wash (spider mites, outdoor grow), I can't hang the plant whole. So I cut the stems into as big pieces as possible and washed them with deluted hydrogenperoxide. Welcome to week 6 of my grow diary. The plant has grown considerably again. It's definitely going to be a beautiful bush. Lots of pistils are currently forming. I removed some more leaves this week and lollipopped the lower shoots. Aug 31: now done six weeks of flowering. Started force flowering by putting her in the dark garage for 10 h plus two hours of bonus darkness by using a 730 nm far red light at dusk as a bloom booster. After three weeks of moving in and out of garage I’ve just been using the red light at dusk. I use Civil Twilight as listed on dateandtime.com for my location. Civil Twilight is getting earlier by about 3 min per night and will be at 9 pm tonight. Awesome plant should be 2-3 weeks to finish and the weather forecast is perfect for next two weeks. Should be a strong finish, and we’re still in August. Awesome. Sep 1: flowers are huge and progressing quickly. The top buds seemed to change colour a bit today. Overnight temperatures are still above 10 C so no purple colour showing yet. Maybe right at the end in a couple of weeks she’ll show some extra colour. Sep 3: buds are getting big, dense and sticky. Perfect. Sep 4: flash pics are okay if using the 730 nm far red light right after. If you don’t have a red light, don’t take flash pics of your photoperiod plants. Nice big buds are quite hard too. So she started herming. Guess I'll have to change her name to Big Barry instead 😅 Wish I could grow a testicle everytime I got frustrated, geez. Kids these days. Anyways, I've been really good about any light leaks, and the internal temps have been consistent, so I'm blaming the 'bagseed' genetics. As soon as I saw the pollen, I started misting the plant with regular RO water, and then went in and removed as many pollen sacks as I could find. But I seriously doubt that I was able to find them all, since they're so deeply hidden within the budsites, and will likely be finding more pollen over the coming weeks -___- My first grow, so it's disappointing but Im still proud of her. Might just spread any seeds I find in the buds, out in the yard and see how they do. I certainly won't be TLC-ing mystery genetics again, aside from the clones I took off her-- which are my first clones as well (with 100% success rate 😎). Ive never had a greenthumb so please ignore my horn-tooting lol
