To maintain a comfortable environment for her, I cranked up the humidity to a cozy 75%. Why, you ask? Well, it's all about VPD – Vapor Pressure Deficit. This fancy term essentially means we're striving to keep the air conditions as close as possible to the optimal range for plant health. Think of it as creating a ninja-approved climate! Now, let's talk trichomes. Oh boy, the trichome production this week has been off the charts! These little resin factories are working overtime, and the results are nothing short of mesmerizing. The numbers are outstanding, and the formation is simply beautiful. Our Tangie is turning into a trichome queen! But that's not all. This week, I've been all about that Zen garden vibe. I've been zenning out and sharing my herbal medicine not only with my plant but also with my ninja buddies. It's like a little garden party with a side of relaxation. Now, onto the numbers game – I raised the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) to 400 and bumped up the pH to 6.3. Why, you ask? Well, it's all about fine-tuning the nutrient solution. These adjustments ensure our Tangie gets the right balance of nutrients, promoting optimal growth and flowering. It's like giving her a customized meal plan for maximum ninja power! Welcome back to Colorado Gnome Grown. This week the gnome’s have been busy with the irrigation system. The water is stored in a 5g container and I mix the feed in it and it gets feed every time I water, which is twice a day for 1 minute, or until the plants drip. The plants are setting on a rack so that the water can drain away from the plant and into a tray. The plan is to buy Big Buds the first of the month to keep on hand to finish up in 4 weeks. Cookie Monster is 4in today and Noel is 2in, and both are starting to grow their bud site. Next week I will Top and defoliate for the first time. I Should have been chopped down 5 plants instead of just one however I lost her 4 sisters because of fungal infection due to a high humidity and and a very hot day. Wish I could have been able to get a lot of jars full of this wonderful and magical organics nugs.

Stretch coming on nicely. The SSS is flowering earliest and fastest, 1 Sour D seems to have more genes from the "GPP", but the other is super sativa looking... Hoping its close too the Karmabx3 Sour D genetics! The Strawberry Cola Sherb, is clearly feeling great in the air pot! but in all honesty... ima bottom feeder so it just turns out a lil awkward hand feeding. (Seaweed drench once a week)

Blue Shark is looking fab! Still a darker green than everyone else. There are 2 videos this week, one where I explain how my plan for a tomato roof using materials I already had didn't work out, and the 2nd being about the rogue who grew in my pea bed (whom I affectionately call "Rogue One") who has been raised almost exclusively on my homemade compost. I had people who were concerned last year when I made my own compost tea from the compost in my pile. People were concerned about bacteria, nutrient profile, etc. I feel like a lot of people get really regimented in their feeding, and they sort of forget that these are plants and they can adapt. They take what they need if it's available. I moved away from using mineral salts this year because you have to be careful with so many of these fertilizers so that you don't burn the plant, you have to flush it so you don't get a harsh smoke, mineral salts causing lockout, etc. If you stick with products that are natural you don't really have to worry about nute burn. You don't have to flush for an extended period of time before harvest. You don't have salts building up in the soil that are detrimental that you have to periodically flush and then add beneficial microbes back in. There is another way.

Another topping was done on the plant, also defoliation was done, let's see how it will withstand stress 😊

This will be the last week i will Feed. I m keeping TDS at 400PPM and PH at 5.8. This week I took out the Silica Blast, Great White and also stoped the CO2. Also I lowered the water temp to 66 degrees. Lights on temp is between 75 and 80 degrees, lights off between 65 and 72. I’m trying to keep humidity as low as possible around 45% week 10 will be flush week.

This is a really great strain to grow with no issues at all! One of the plants was lime green and the buds didn’t seem to mature as well And were not as dense as the darker plant was. Blue cheese is great for making edibles and eating them in the evening and for relaxing and also for a great night sleep. No complaints about blue cheese.

Oct 5-11 Vegetative steering? Aiming for: leaf Temp -80f CO2 -1250ppm VPD +1.04 (65%/75F) Vegetative Steering 6P1/ 2P2/1P3 Each P1 water event is 15 minutes apart. Seems to far apart. I think i Need More water events, with less time in between events in order to get a strong veg signal? Watering for 2min(110)ml May need 3min waterings(currently not getting runoff) I have to hand water every two days. Day 11 flo 18.5inches tall 12inches from light(moved to 16) 1300ppm Day 18 Defol Sprout chickpea(2days) Soaked 1cup for 4 hours then rinsed. Completely covered then Soaked overnight. Rinsed then poured water out and layed jar on the side for one day. Blended with water(aloe vera and coconut) Day 19&20 foilarspray Alfalfa/Chickpea SST with Kelp,aloe,coconut,silicate,microbes brewed for 1.5 days Day 21 Fed the Tea blend Leaf temp 80 65kluxx Co2 100 Plants look like they responded well to the foilar. The flowers at this stage are my best performance yet .crop steering may be working?

Flower development definitely set back right from the beginning with extreme light intensity reaching 1650 ppfd before corrected. Never fully took off I don’t think. Midway through week 7 started to slowly dial back the intensity from 900 at tops to 650 ppfd. This is a 9.5-10 week strain. Using fish shit to keep things ramped up, also Bokashi Bran and worm casting. Also mixing in Gaia seaweed extract 0-0-17 with the fish shit. Not a whole lot more needed that the soil and top dressings doesn’t already have, if anything at all. I just like to give it that extra kick. I had completely wiped out those pesky fungus gnats and future offspring before flower, but they came back after top dressing and adding more soil. They come in the bag soil, and while I was on holidays for 10 days they came back and I wasn’t on top of the new wave of those dirty bastards. Just about got them cleared out again with the use of nematodes and sticky traps.

Shiny, sparkly buds. Can’t wait to trim them up!
