Journal de culture – Semaine 4 de croissance (fin) Je ne suis vraiment pas satisfait de la plante, que je trouve faiblarde et manquant de vitalité. Son développement est lent, et je suspecte que la température, qui descend peut-être trop bas la nuit, pourrait en être la cause. Cependant, même le pied-mère de cette variété n’a pas une croissance exceptionnelle, ce qui me fait penser que le phénotype de cette variété n’est peut-être pas très bon. Pour ne pas perdre trop de temps, j’ai décidé de la passer en floraison aujourd’hui, avec un cycle de lumière 12-12. J’ai également changé la soupe et préparé 20 litres avec les nutriments nécessaires à la floraison. Sachant que cette variété a tendance à beaucoup stretcher, j’ai pratiqué du LST (Low Stress Training) pour recourber les sommités. Cependant, j’ai accidentellement cassé un apex, laissant seulement trois apex au lieu de quatre. Bien que je ne sois pas satisfait de cette plante ni du pied-mère, je vais finaliser cette culture et passer à une autre variété ensuite. 🇺🇸Cultivation Journal – Week 4 of Vegetative Growth (End) I’m really not satisfied with the plant; it seems weak and lacks vitality. Its development is quite slow, and I suspect the nighttime temperatures might be dropping too low. However, even the mother plant of this strain doesn’t show great growth, so I’m thinking the phenotype might not be very good. To avoid wasting more time, I’ve decided to switch it to flowering today, setting the light cycle to 12-12. I also replaced the nutrient solution, preparing 20 liters with the ingredients required for flowering. Knowing this strain stretches a lot, I applied LST (Low Stress Training) to bend the tops. Unfortunately, I broke one of the four apexes, so now there are only three left. Even though I’m not happy with this plant or the mother plant, I’ll finish this grow and move on to another strain afterward.

Flowering nicely now. Not drinking a ton of water but I attribute that to lower temps lately.

Alright grow cycle, mistakes, improvements, etc... She did stay in veg for too long, her growth was slow and not the best and so she took quite long, next time i'll be there from the beginning so I can take care of her throughout. But her growth is really fun. It is a tall growing sativa with fairly tight noding when trained accordingly, producing long filled colas. The buds grow fairly dense and fluffly but do air out a little when dried. Trichome production was pretty impressive as well as terpene production. She had thrips since her early days but did not seem to mind them at all. I did spray them initially but once flower started I stopped. I believe predatory mites might have been feeding on the pupae in the soil, if that is what this specific species of thrips did, the reason I say that is I could never see adults only larvae. Whatever the case maybe they were there but the population never really increased. Something I did not mention during the grow is that those plants were played music during the days, music that is apparently developed for plants. The 10L pot was WAY too small for a true sustainable living organic and to provide enough space for the plant, that was a mistake, I'd say a 20L would be the bare minimum and still. The bigger the better. The hempy transfer did not hurt the plant and I believe even helped to some extent, BUT, I am still running test on the subject and so can't confirm anything, here are my observations Roots did not colonize the perlite, a little on top and the sides but that was it, I was expecting to see a big root mass in there. I believe hempy are great for salt fert as it hold a soup of nutes where the plant can feed from since the coco only holds very little Whereas in nature most nutrient are in the top soil where the highest amount of decomposition happens, this is where the highest microbial activity happens and so where the plant will find food. Living organic is trying to reproduce nature and so there is no need for the plant's roots to gather at the bottom of the pot. Although it could have potentially provided the plant access to a larger amount of water and possibly more oxygenation of the pot. Those are all theories, please speak up if you have other proofs. In conclusion , unless i get proven otherwise by someone or my latest running experiment , I will not be using hempies again as I believe it brings more complication and issues than a simple fabric pot. The lights, The 600w at the start was good, then I decided to add a 400w...😂 That was completely overkill and not necessary. Waste of electricity. And they started suffering from too much light it seems at some point, I raised the light by a good 30 cm and they were fine. 600 is more than enough. I am happy about how the soil performed but it has room for improvements. As for the watering technique I have been watering large ammount every few days, next time I will be giving constant small amount of water each day and a soak every week or so, I believe the soil might perform better under those conditions. She was also an easy plant to harvest whit her long colas which had very little foliage, I do trim in excess as I like my buds extra clean but the buds are not excessively bushy. The trims were use to make some bubble hash, around 100g of wet trims yielded around 1.5-2g of bubble hash. I did add a negative effect but only because it wouldn't give me a smile otherwise, but to be honnest it barely dries your mouth. The soil is going to be recycled and reused in a next grow. I can't think of anything else at the moment but if you have any question don't hesitate.

9/9 Still looking for the cause of the top fading only on the light colored phenos think its P will address tomorrow, want a couple more weeks from these guys at least. 9/10 Looking better top dressed the Happy Frog 3 tbs/plant watered with Bio-Bloom 3tsp /gal and Big Bloom 3tsp/gal 9/13 D62 Just finishing the week things are pretty stable. Nuet issues resolved and buds building nicely taking on a more fuzzy appearance with straight new growth hairs. Pics at lights out if I remember Looking at 9/27 for a harvest date or at least its penciled in on the calendar. Next feed is full

Day 106. Trim jaiiiiiilllllllll !!!! First done, think it could reach my record 240. Insane quality. 4 rows of solid buds hanging .... Next one .... Both finally finished and honestly, that's my plants to be proud of !!! Day 114. All is done, no doubts its my best grow. Happy Growing !!!

Decided that this week ive probably went a bit big on the 3 gal pots after reviewing other grows (Whoops, not the worst problem to have) so I invested in another tent to split the girls up. Im hoping this will improve the air flow later in the grow, well until I decided that it looked a bit sparse and started some 1 gal ladies away. Anyway im a massive idiot and burned the GG4, ive learnt the lesson of monkey see doesnt mean monkey should do. Anyway we'll get into that. Sun 5/6 Got myself drip trays for all the pots, which will be help keep the tents a bit tidier when the watering intensifies. Also picked up a soil moisture/pH meter, from further reading soil pH is going to be important (Foreshadowing here.....) Both GG4/Explorer watered today (Not measured, stupid) as meter suggested soil moisture was low. Fed around where I suspect root mass will be and moistened edges of pots. Ariel/Cindy not fed today as both soil surfaces were moist. Im concerened about little Ariel, but im holding out for here. GG4 = 6CM // Explorer = 3.75CM // Ariel = 1CM // Cindy = 1.5CM Mon 6/6 AM Cindy/Ariel surface sprayed as was dry. GG4/Explorer left untouched as they're moist. PM All plants sprayed until surface moist, warm day today and I struggle keeping the humidity high within the tents so the surface seems to dry rapidly on the seedlings. New tent should arrive tomorrow! Tues 7/6 AM Tent arrived and set up with GG4/Explorer Transfered. This tent has a MarsHydro 100W in. GG4/Explorer fed with 400ML water + 0.15ML Bio-Grow, having reviewed many other auto grows it seems that they're giving growth nutes early doors. I must be doing something wrong here so planning to slowly introduce Bio-Grow. Ariel/Cindy left alone as theyre looking ok. Well as ok as Ariel can look :S PM GG4 leaves are showing slight yellowing (That foreshadowing we we're on about), shit. Wonder if it could be light burn from the new light? Ive upped the light distance and will monitor. Wed 8/6 GG4 further development of yellowing with some browning now showing. Surely if it was light stress I would have seen a small improvement, but perhaps im being too hasty. Planning on waiting another day and seeing where we see any improvement. No feed for GG4/Explorer Spray feed for Cindy/Ariel Thurs 9/6 GG4/Explorer fed 150ML of just water as both are looking dry and feeling light to lift. Still no improvement on yellowing/browning of leaves however new growth is progressing so im not too concerned? Will need to ask wiser heads for advice relating to this. Further research is leading me to think ive nute burned it. MY water pH is coming out around 7.1 as well which wont be helping. pH down ordered as im sure ill need it anyway. Ariel seems to be recovering slightly now all be it pale on new growth, will monitor this little one further and see what happens. More seeds ordered so if shes not going to grow big I might slot her in a 1 gal and stick something different in the 3 gal. Thoughts? Fri 10/6 GG4 well and truely upset with me however only 2 leaves showing significant issues, however this is starting to spread. Posted a question and answers are reflecting that I have A) Too high pH water B) Have fed nutes far too early. Live and learn. Advice seems to show that around 6.2 will be a good range to shoot for. pH down didnt arrive today so will hold fire on any further feedings which works nice as all are moist enough. Have LST'd the GG4. Sat 11/6 Officially 2 weeks today. Whilst im disappointed in myself with the GG4 I suppose its normal to make mistake in something new so trying to not be too hard on myself. Ive got pH down and have fed both GG4(350ml)/Explorer(150) respectively with 6.2pH water. Hopefully this will be the start of the turn around a learning moment within a new hobby. Una ves sean transplantadas a su macetero definitivo(5 litros) se comenzará con riego automático, drip to waste, y protocolo Crop Steering. 20 Octubre(15:30): 9 semillas en remojo, solución de 2 partes de agua de ósmosis + 1 parte de peróxido de hidrógeno 3%, 5.8pH, 0.6EC, 28°C~30°C. Antes ser puestas a remojar se lijaron las semillas para favorecer la absorción del agua. 21:30: puestas en toalla de papel con la misma agua de remojo, dentro de un contenedor de vidrio hermético y sobre una alfombra de calor a 28°C~30°C, para aumentar la actividad metabólica. 21 Octubre: Pre carga del coco, con solución de nutrientes Athena en 2.0EC y 5.7pH, saturación hasta lograr drenaje, el drenaje fue de 1.5EC y 5.6pH. 21:50: Todas las semillas presentan radicula de distintos tamaños(1cm aprox) son inmediatamente pasadas al sustrato. 22 Octubre: 21:10, se aprecian todas ya brotando, se mantiene el ambiente en 26°C~28°C y 70%+ de humedad. 23 Octubre: 9/9 semillas brotadas, se ven algunos Cotiledones. 24 Octubre: (9:30)8/9 cotiledones abiertos, altura entre 3cm~5cm, etapa de plantula iniciada. Toffee n3 se atrofió por mala manipulación, espero que crezca aunque sea lento, si no, tendré que seguir solo con 8 plantas. 25 Octubre: Toffee n3 está viva!!! Estuve a punto de quitarla, y está mañana apareció sin su capucha, cotiledones afuera. Yujuuuu!! 26 Octubre: hoy tuvieron su primer riego con nutrientes Athena, 2.0EC y 5.8pH. Se regó hasta alcanzar drenaje, el drenaje fue de 1.9EC y 5.7pH. 27 Octubre: Se desarrollan a buen ritmo, algunas han estirado más que otras, alturas entre 4cm~7cm. 31 Octubre: Segundo riego, 120ml casa una, 2.0EC y 5.8pH, runoff de 2.3EC y 5.7pH. 2 Noviembre: Creciendo a buen ritmo, alturas entre 5cm y 9cm. 4 Noviembre: Riego 180ml cada una, 2.0EC y 5.8pH, runoff 2.8EC y 5.8pH, desde ahora se regarán más seguido, removí las primeras hojas, solo por comodidad para regar, de igual manera los primeros nodos y esas hojas se terminan podando pronto. 8 Noviembre: Riego 2.0EC, 5.8pH, 240ml cada una para aumentar el runoff, valores de runoff de 3.0EC y 6.0pH. Alturas entre 9cm y 14cm.

Phed reservoirs to 5.8 10/11 Trichomes are are getting near half cloudy, no signs of amber yet. Phed to 5.6 10/12 Water added and Phed to 5.8 Trimming finished on chopped plant that's drying. 10/13 Adjusted Ph to 6.0 and topped of the reservoirs. Harvested plant will be drying for another day or two. 10/14 PH was really low on the Flushing plant. Adjusted it to 6.2. The other plant had its reservoir topped and PH set to 5.8. 10/15 Started the flush on the final plant. Will probably do a shorter flush this time and test the difference. I think a week in DWC feels long. 10/16 Reservoirs topped and PH adjusted to 5.6. Flush started on the Final plant 😎 Extremely excited for the smoke review of these badgirls. So far so good! Two of Three plants remain. One of them has less mature trichomes the other is coming down any day now. These plants are amazing to handle. You can Smell that these girls are not playing around one bit.

Another week closer to harvest! She’s looking and smelling amazing!! I can’t wait to smoke this delicious plant. I’m out of plant yo-yos!!!

She is doing her thing this week. She only grew 13cm this week. I do have a CO2 bag generator thing... It's not doing a lot though. My CO2 meter reads barely over 400ppm.........
