Og kush auto - 420fastbuds Harvested! Super awesome strain!

I started germination of 1 orange sherbert bean on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cubes with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plug was just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made hole. Than I sowed my bean into the hole. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the hole in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plug into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see a sprout. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plug planted into some 1 gallon pots. Plus get this lady situated into her home. Cant wait! Some Background information on history with Orange Sherbert. I have grown orange sherbert out 3 times and all times had the same result. A shorter extremely branchy robust plant. That dominated the room. Loves training and really ups yeilds doing so. She produces an amazing canopy... just a sea of daggers. Her huge chunky colas pack and amazing orange tangy aroma and just taste like heavenly candy! Barneys Farm hit the nail on the head with this variety! She tends to have a little higher demand for potassium mid flower than most varieties. So a bit heavier on the pk booster and she will be mighty happy! Just a fabulous strain to work with.

Not a lot new to say, everything is progressing normally I'll be expecting some more chunking up next week. As per through the entire grow, the right and left plants are growing to different schedules.

A plant with both standard cellular respiration (occurring throughout the plant, including leaves and stems) and adequate root respiration will have a significantly higher ATP throughput than one restricted to only general cellular respiration in a limited way. Cellular respiration is the fundamental metabolic process that occurs in all living plant cells (roots, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds) to convert glucose into usable energy (ATP). It requires oxygen and produces carbon dioxide and water as byproducts. Root respiration is not a separate type of respiration, but rather a specific instance of cellular respiration occurring in the roots. Roots absorb oxygen from the air spaces in the soil to fuel their energy needs. Roots require a substantial amount of ATP for essential functions like nutrient and water absorption, as well as growth and maintenance of their tissues. A soil without organic matter will generally have a low Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Biochar is often prized for its potential to increase soil cation exchange capacity (CEC), but this effect is highly dependent on the specific properties of the biochar (feedstock and pyrolysis temperature) and the soil type to which it is applied. High-ash biochars, especially those produced at lower temperatures and applied to acidic or sandy soils, can significantly boost CEC by providing abundant binding sites for cations like calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺), and potassium (K⁺). Biochar is more sustainable than typical organic matter for long-term soil improvement primarily due to its high stability and resistance to microbial decomposition, allowing it to persist in the soil for hundreds to thousands of years. This longevity provides a lasting positive effect on soil properties, particularly by increasing the cation exchange capacity (CEC) over time, while regular organic matter breaks down much faster. Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. It's a secret. Ancient biochar-rich soils in the Amazon basin (known as Terra Preta) provide evidence of carbon stability lasting over 500 to 2,000+ years. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what I give mine. Can even add N in its NH4+ form

Final Week

She is going to be amazing when full sized. I had my quarrels with the lady but it's been rewarding waiting with patients. That is like we should do with all lady's. ;)

30 deep and every single one is standing tall and at attention, I'll be transferring these girls into a 3 gallon pots at there 4 week period, I'm only watering these once a week and there doing great.

So harvested Gigi yesterday (D70) as she looked ready. And also very beautiful in my humble opinion. Covered in trichomes and very bright orange pistils pics don’t do justice. The buds are smallish but really hard / dense abs she stinks to high heaven. After a week of drying, Heidi is just about to start curing. (120g / 4 oz). Tbh we’re smoking her already as she’s already way better than current stash. Tastes absolutely delicious, I’m not one for describing pretentious flavours. She tastes dank and makes me properly stoned lol. Also only gonna get better now on the cure. Naomi is the final girl still going, plan to pull her on Sat/Sun D77 ish. She’s the biggest of the 3. Despite showing some signs of earlier nute burn she has powered through with the biggest and longest buds of all 3. Very excited about her. And finally the other 2 girls (not included in this diary) strawberry pie autos look a few weeks behind these but just going into beast mode both are 1.2m tall and getting loads of solid super stinky and frosty buds. week 1 flower is going well.

Day 1 soaked seeds for 18hrs. Day 2 seeds in dirt two seeds already popped in water and they where the auto's. Day 3 just keeping them moist and warm. Day 4 Northern lights came up and Great white shark came up. Watch these seeds sometimes the shell doesn't come off and you got to help it Northern lights shell was stuck and I took a tooth pick and helped it get it off. Day 5 Acapulco gold came up still waiting on Yumboldt auto and it had a tail on it when put in dirt.. Day 6 planted another Yumboldt auto seed directly in soil the other one was bad. So this one will be 6days behind others.

Oh mama! We're getting close to chop day! Look at these top buds though, literally a morphed golf ball on top. Can't wait to taste that golf ball. 😁 The plant has been going great throughout the entire cycle, hopefully things finish as they've been going. No signs of deficiencies a little excess maybe so I've been laying off on the nutes a bit.. leaves are healthy green this will be the last week of nutes. Only water from now on.

8/14/2024 Topped plant A due to the node spacing and side branching. Hopefully, this will cause this pheno to bush out a bit more. Intentionally FIMed plant B due to the short internodal spacing and difficulties getting a clean cut for a topping. This plant is already quite bushy and condensed - hoping that it will respond nicely to FIM. Water was not changed over entirely, only added one fresh gallon of nutrient water with additional nutrients added to step up entire system to close to 575-600ppm. Both plants are looking great, root zone needs some improvement with water temperatures. I have ordered a larger water cooler and hope that will help reduce the water temperature inside the tent. Although water temps are a bit high in the buckets, the roots are flourishing and are pearly white! 8/16/2024 Noticed Plant A is showing signs of potassium issues. Added one fresh gallon of non-nutrified water as I was unable to complete a water change. 8/17/2024 Pumped out 5 gallons of nutrient water and refreshed with 5 new gallons. Both plants look to be responding well to the water change. The resulting PPM was 650 after allowing time for the system to reach equilibrium. Extra insulation on the buckets is helping to maintain lower water temperatures throughout the day with lights on in the tent. The environment is pretty well dialed in at an average 1.2-1.6 VPD. 8/19/2024 Replaced water cooler with one that is twice the size and rated for 15-gallon systems. Running reservoir temp target at 18.5 C. Conducted some minor LST on the bushy plant (Plant B) to get the middle opened up a bit more. Did some leaf tucking on plant A to get the lower branches some more direct light. 8/20/2024 Both plants are looking phenomenal. There is a very slight cannabis smell in the tent at all times.

Pink Sugar Breath: Platinum Kush Breath(IHG) X Pink Sugar Cookies(UFO) Pink Sugar Cookies: Sugar Cane(IHG) X Gsc Twister Pink Sugar Breath F2: Pink Sugar Breath Male(Funk/Purple Stems/Dumper) X Pink Sugar Breath Female(Pink Sugar Cookie Pheno) Bred by Me. I originally popped a good amount of these testers I created using a funk sugar breath male and a baker dough sugar breath with more of the pink sugar cookie lineage. This resulted in a pheno hunters dream. Each pheno develops massive amounts of resin. Green phenos imo are the best smokes SO far. They range from chemical og funk to og funk and dough. The purple pheno has more of a kush breath with sugary dough to it. Lastly is the pink pheno. The pink pheno develops amazing trichome production with all terps within the mom and pop. I originally popped these in x3 ran soil. They were broken in half. Overwatered. You fucking name it. I was stress testing this already herm vulnerable gsc twisted/ogkb hybrid. That being said the average grower should have minimum to none herm issues. 3 broke out batch but it was just a small trait from the vigorous stress I gave them. They developed high bract to leaf ratio with an intense sativa high. Growing these require 63 to 72 for a full expressions and an added body buzz with that kush breath high. 9/10. Flowering expect these to stretch 3x as big. They will need boosters/ extra feeding withing 17 days from flip. These are limited tested F2s. Only available @ [email protected]
