30.12.2026 – BT58 Bei allen drei Pflanzen wurde – mit Ausnahme der Apples & Oranges – nur noch pH-korrigiertes Wasser mit Cal/Mag gegeben. Die Apples & Oranges erhielt die letzten drei Gießgänge ausschließlich Wasser und wurde nun etwa eine Woche lang nicht mehr gegossen, bis zur Ernte. Des Weiteren war dies der letzte Gießgang in der Blütewoche mit Cal/Mag. Für die restlichen zwei Pflanzen gibt es nun ebenfalls nur noch Wasser, um im Drain einen EC-Wert von 1,0 zu erreichen.

AUGUST 24 to AUGUST 30, 2024 Sunrise 07:05, sunset 20:50 for total daylight of 13:45 hours. Specimen continues to push upwards, gaining approximately 13cm in height over the past week. Plant is taller than anticipated and planned for, which could present some difficulties as it's getting into the oscillating air circulation fan's wake. Was surprised to see the continued stretch, but there were two days of high heat that may have been the trigger, or, it may have been the result of defoliation and pruning, or it was simply the plant's final push, or a combination of all those factors. It appears to have crowned, or is close to being fully crowned, and as such I undertook a fairly heavy defoliation to improve airflow through the bottom of the plant, and strategically removed leaves in the upper canopy to improve light exposure. Fungus gnats did regain their hold, and so I decided to top dress with Bacillus Thuringiensis Israelensis (delivered via pulverized Mosquito Dunks) in an effort to kill larvae, treated with Soil Pest Defense (Neem Oil, Castile Soap and Yucca Extract) and replaced Bug Scan Yellow Sticky Traps at soil level. Effects were pretty immediate, but I will need to stay on top of this. Would like to cease use of Neem Oil in the soil, so considering acquiring some beneficial nematodes to combat the pest issue. Overall, specimen and its' "neighbours" in the greenhouse are doing well, and filling the room. When accounting for the bench and containers, tops of plants are over 152cm (5ft) from ground level. It is making management a little more challenging, and proving to be more difficult to find good angles to photograph (the space is pretty much filled up). The scent of citrus, skunk and spice emanating from the greenhouse is building, and at times quite strong. Still appears to me to be on-track for ripening the week of October 14, 2024. Day 120 - n/a Day 121 - Drip watered 5.0L of plain rainwater with pH of 6.7 Day 122 - n/a Day 123 - Defoliated specimens, focused on removing leaves from lower parts of the plant to improve airflow (lollipop), pruning hidden or non-producing branches, and strategically removing select upper fan leaves to improve light exposure and airflow. Day 124 - Top dressed with pulverized Mosquito Dunk (1/4 unit per specimen); 1.5L drip watered with plain rainwater in the morning; Hand watered 2.0L of Soil Pest Defense Drench in the afternoon; Hand watered 1.0L of plain rainwater about 30 minutes after soil drench; Replaced Bug Scan Yellow Sticky Traps (1 unit per specimen, cut in half and rested at soil surface on two sides; With defoliation from yesterday, room air flow seems adequate, after increasing speed of lower fans. Day 125 - n/a Day 126 - n/a Next week, planning to feed the rhizosphere with Compost Tea and continue efforts to control fungus gnat population.

This one was planted in coco, perlite, and worm castings. Due to this being practically the first time I've used this mix without adding the peat based "light mix," I had not realised how quickly the pots will dry out, especially during the high water consumption of the flowering stage. I realise that I need to be treating it as pure coco. This can be fantastic, for example, if you have just one pot/plant and can provide all the waterings and monitoring continually and regularly. This tends to make you use more nutrients than necessary, as personally I find it difficult to use just plain water. I think many of us still can't help the feeling that we should be adding things to every watering. Therefore, when the frequency of the waterings increases, we are still adding nutrients EVERY time. Which is an overall increase in nutrients, too. For my part, I'm cutting the amount of nutrients per watering. I feel like nutrients are a bit of a crutch to growers. I'm still getting used to the coco and the waterings, but I am really enjoying it. If you don't check your plants multiple times a day, it may not be the best choice of substrate. For me, I'd much rather the pots dry quickly because it reduces the chances of mould and mildew, which I'm always concerned about. The pot was actually top dressed with Canna Terra Soil Mix, as the company I'd purchased from sent the wrong item, and I couldn't get it sorted in time. This has really annoyed me as my top dress went mouldy, and I had to remove the top 1cm. After I used this, that soil became compacted and has remained that way since. Due to this, I would much rather not use these types of substrates. 28.5.25: Watered 1.5ltrs with Trace PH 6.4. 29.5.25: I took everything off the timer and am now running 24/0 light schedule. I want to make the most out of what light is available. The plants need it. My tent is underpowered in that department, so increasing the duration of the light is all I can realistically do. Its that time of week again for our weekly update. Starting week 7 and im really impressed with this grow. The bud sites are started to form nicely any previous problems I had with her with a PH issue has now gone thankfully. Smells wonderful growing big and strong just trying to work out how much I may get from this plant. Any guesses out there as to what you may think ? 🤔 🌱

These all got a new home in the 4x8 just letting them settle in to the new pots and recover from training before I flip them. The pots are already proving to be better than the radicle bags these dont leak out the side so I can water faster but still have the same airflow. They also havnt made a mess in the tent leaking out dust like the other ones.

Week 10 Update – Full Throttle with Advanced Nutrients 🌱 I’m now feeding 100% of the Advanced Nutrients schedule with all components. I noticed a slight calcium deficiency in the AN plants, so I’ve increased the base nutrients from 75% to 100%. Advanced Nutrients CalMag Xtra remains at 1ml/L, and it has been reliable throughout the grow with 0 EC osmosis water. BioBizz#1 – BT42 The trichome ripeness is mixed—there are both amber and clear trichomes, so it’s not quite consistent yet. CalMag issues show up occasionally, but nothing that’s throwing me off balance—she’s doing fine! 🤞 AN#4 – BT42 She’s asking for a bit more calcium here and there but continues to dominate BioBizz#1 in terms of development. EC: 2.5 pH: 6.4 Drain: pH 6.1 (EC not measurable due to organic soil). AN#3 – BT38 This plant is visually about 2 weeks behind the others. The space between her and the lamp is down to 1-2cm—a disaster, but there’s nothing I can do at this point. PPFD is off the charts (1200), but she’s handling it and developing beautiful buds.
