Trying to dial their veg in. Nutes may be too old or too high. Changed with 4ml CaMg per gallon of RO water. The rest is MaxiGrow. Ever since adding rockwool to the grow, I have struggled. I don't have the dry back timed right yet. I moved my fan to dry the top of the pot surface instead of in the root zone or at the canopy height. After about 10 days I dumped out the rockwool and have replaced with hydroton. My initial though on using rockwool was to give the roots more space during late life stages. My experience has been with hydroton and I notice that the roots eventually get bound because the hydroton is a durable material and will not crush or compact. Rockwool on the other hand will compress when squeezed so I was hoping that in the late life stages the roots would compress the rockwool and make more room in the pots. The issue was dryback. If I used chunks instead of croutons, this may help but the other reason I used them was because I had them here already. If anyone is trying to slow their dryback down, they should consider adding 10% volume of croutons to hold moisture in the medium a bit longer. Notice anything different? They are starting to adapt to their new media. Hopefully by next week I can get them to perk up. One plant has looked better than the other three. I have no idea what these plants need to “perk up”. Possibly a different grower. If a grape terpine wasn’t in the end results I would have culled these long ago. Hopefully they perk up when we get to flower. 3 look ,,,, meh, the fourth is descent. Trimmed all four back down to 12” tall. Flower next week.

There isn't much more to say about this fantastic strain. Hardy, easy to clone, quick to flower and absolutely delicious in every respect. It resists well to high temperatures, "accidental" over fertilization, and recovers soon after a period of drought. Easy and fast.

Yesterday was a big day! I finally upgraded her to the 4x4 tent with a 650W light, moving from the cozy 3x3 with a 300W. 🎉 During the transition, I made a few rookie mistakes that led to some discoloration on the upper canopy leaves. But hey, no worries! As @autopotamus wisely says, “We’re growing flowers, not just leaves.” A little defoliation is part of the journey, and she’ll bounce back stronger than ever! đŸ’Ș Every experience is a lesson or a blessing. This time, I learned! 🌟 What lessons have you all picked up on your growing adventures? Let’s keep sharing and growing together!

21/08/2023 I decided to trim the yellow tips on the large leaves because some rather concerning black spots were starting to appear on those yellow areas. I also trimmed the small yellowed leaves (even though they didn't seem to have these black dots) I am very pleased with the outcome of #3, I will now always use LST for my future grows and not ScrOG as I said last week. I don't expect to end up with huge buds due to the lack of fertilizer, which is why I plan to use Root Juice, BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax, and BioHeaven from BioBizz in my next grow. I will also need an oscillating fan, having to move it around to prevent some burns on the leaves is quite annoying. I would like to find one smaller than 15CM, but I don't think it's possible. The only ones in this case are battery-operated and not oscillating. I don't know why the buds of #2 have such long hairs. 25/08/2023 I received my magnifying glass, it's not meant to be put on a phone, but I still managed to take these photos at x60 magnification (I have a x90 magnifying glass, but it's impossible to take good photos with it). You don't see much in some photos at x60 magnification, but like everything else, I will improve over the weeks.

This was another fun week. I did some defoliation to open up all the bud sites. That took a little longer than I was expecting. This is the largest plant I have ever grown, and I'm learning there are some differences in growing a big girl, the first being she takes longer to defoliate. The second is the amount of water she drinks. I'm watering her a full gallon ever other day and she is taking it all.

Blue Gelato has the smallest head of the strains in the tent but they seem very dank so I dont think we will be dissappointed with this one.

Last days for most of them - only Strawberry Cough will stay longer - she is super hungry and I can not keep up with feeding her - most of leaves are yellow now. đŸ˜± The rest - four plants will be harvested on the weekend - 2-3 days from now and frozen - I'll be making bubble hash and fresh frozen live resin from them in the following weeks 😈 Trichomes are mostly milky with some amber starting - ideal ripeness and time to freeze those glands
