11/12/21: Official First flower week. Added in Big Bud Nutrients and they appear to have changed over night... lots of light green bud sites... some are even showing stigmas and white pistils... still a slight issue with the heat... but as it is near a large glass window and the size of the tent a heat mat is the best i can do. other than that the plants are looking very healthy and strong and will not be long until they are in full bloom.

Even though it says 80 Gallon pot, it’s really 400, it just glitches out when I enter 400 and converts to say only 80. I know she looks bad! I know. She has only been managing a nutrient lockout with horribly low pH for far too long! The Hydrated Lime has indeed fixed the pH! Resulting in my next inbound set of problems. The original soil from the second 2.3L pot she was in was too strong! She needs to get her roots out into the larger pot, but that only gives her so much more space. Plus in that larger black plastic pot, the hot dry sun at 7,000 ft in elevation, really heats up those pots! When it’s 98F later, that sounds like torture! Maybe it was enough to balance out the more concentrated stuff towards the inside of the root mass. But I don’t want her roots to stop there! The time is now for her to go into the 400!!! The soil is 6.5 pH through and through. The peas are about to bloom! She has just avoided lockout and is picking up momentum! The 400 gives her a huge diameter for her roots! Something I sincerely hope her genetics will take advantage of. The soil is rich and alive! The temps in 400 will be so much better! Now I must prepare for my Arch Nemesis! The Butterfly!!!!!! Lol But seriously. They find my plants attractive, and decide to serve my plants as food for their offspring!!!! Not okay! Last year their success rate on my plants was a fat 0!! But they did some serious damage! I am prepared this year!! I will watch with vigilance for any butterflies around my plants specifically. I will spray my plants down regularly with diatomaceous earth! Not too much obviously! I know less is more when spraying that stuff! No mother wants to give her children food with razor blades in it! And as always there is always next year! I can’t let a phase of mice and men get the better of me. However!!… that’s what I said LAST YEAR!!!! Lol. This year IS next year! Hab aber gemerkt, dass es mit der Höhe schon wieder etwas eng wird 😅 Also werd ich sie wohl nochmal toppen müssen und versuchen, sie so flach wie möglich zu halten. Wird schon irgendwie passen. Lampe läuft aktuell auf 20/4 bei 40 % – das sollte fürs Erste locker reichen 🌱💡

I’ve got some curling going on. Have been trying to get temp humidity stable so I got a humidity controller and now run lights on timer 6 hrs off. Also my humidity gauge I used to set in the middle of the tent but I now put directly in the pot behind the plant and different readings. It’s one of those cheap humidity temp gauges that comes with led lights. Just need to get this curling thing down. 1 of the plants shows no curl so maybe it’s the fox farm soil is too hot. Or maybe that 1plant got better plant coverage, I’ve since adjusted the fan and may get another one.

Aug 17: Auto Overdose is a nice plant but it’s not an auto. I started this one late and only topped it once thinking it was an auto. Other growers have noticed it isn’t an auto too, so I forced it in the dark garage. Flowering has to be started by the end of July here or it won’t finish in the fall. The flowers are forming quickly and I suspect this is actually Overdose Fast. So far so good, and good genetics for a Fast plant. Aug 18: no UV light today unfortunately but it was decently sunny. Scrog net certainly seems like a good idea. This plant is asymmetrical because I broke one of the two main stems a couple weeks after topping. This changed the shape of the plant so it’s become one-sided as if I was growing it up against a wall. Lots of nice lower branches came up so she looks pretty good now.

A good first week from all the girls overall. They continue to develop as planned. They got watered with the spray bottle until Friday when they got a real watering. This girl is doing okay. Worse growth for this girl cause she fell over after watering. This is the same one that struggled in the beginning to maintain its shape. If anything, she'll make for a smaller plant. Great week! Explosive growth was the theme, and over the past 3 days they've gained 4 inches. I was inspired by a few growers on here to do more lst this round, we will see if it pays off or not. Finicky is still doing very well, I would say she's outpacing the other plant at this point. Started my bloom nutrients, and began to wean them off the veg nutes. There are plenty of nodes for buds, but a lot of them haven't shot up yet like some of the main stalks. The right plant was looking a little droopy this morning, realized they were probably an inch too close to the light. Hoping to get another week of stretch out of them, but I could see them shifting into bud production mode soon. Excited to see what's coming up over the next few weeks, stay tuned ladies and gentlemen!

The week starts Monday Jan-27, being day 27 of flowering. Plants are looking very good and healthy, albeit some bigger buds at this stage is missing. Carried out more minor defoliation, only trimming fan leaves on one side of a bud site in alternate fashion. Strategy is to expose more bud sites to light. Leaves are getting sticky and glistening brightly. The canopy has a few branches stretching out typical of Sativa genetics. Hoping the bud sites grow bigger soon filling up the space. Feeding a high EC nutrient mix whilst monitoring run-off EC which remains below feed EC. Light is maintained at 30cm above the canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering just under 3L per day. Maintaining an average RH in the space at 50%. ---- updates for prior 4 weeks -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-20 still flowering away. Bud sites are beginning to take form and the ScrOG setup looks full, ready for the development of some large buds. Removed a few more leaves from above the canopy which were blocking bud sites below. Also cut small stems (with bud sites) below the canopy from both plants which were unlikely to grow strong. It's now looking clearer below the canopy. The canopy is still thick with beautiful luscious green leaves typical of an Indica. Run-off EC has been slowly rising over the weeks but still under the feed EC - will be keeping my eyes on this. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 2.5L per day. Maintaining an average RH in the space at 50%. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing thick and fast, with very short node intervals creating a thick canopy. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 2.5L per day. Lowered the average RH in the space to 50%. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-06 in flowering stage. The net is filling up nicely with the ScrOG process being enjoyable - just tucking branches nicely under squares once stretched enough. The Indica dominant strain is really shining with incredible dense growth and thick branches that don't bend as easily as it's Sativa neighbour. Hello, nouvelle session, et 1ere expérience cette fois ci en coco. Avec une nouvelle gamme d’engrais de chez Canna, ainsi que le substrat en coco de chez Canna aussi J’ai constaté que les graines de Quick Critical+ ont germées très vite par rapport à la terre, ici, à peine 72h pour les 1ères. Et un joli 100% pour la germination!! Merci dinafem!👍🔥 J’ai pu aussi constaté que le réglage du PH et de l’Ec prennent ici toute leur importance,, puisque pour mes 1er arrosages j’ai oublié de contrôler l’Ec, résultat, légère brûlure sur le bout des 1ères feuilles,, j’ai immédiatement corrigé en contrôlant et en ajustant l’Ec,, les choses devraient rentrer dans l’ordre maintenant. Voilà pour cette 1ere semaine de découverte de la culture en coco,,, A la semaine prochaine... Happy grow...😎
