I started germination of this Gold Bar Kush bean on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cube with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plug was just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made hole. Than I sowed my bean into the hole. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the hole in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plug into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see a sprout. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plug planted into a 1 gallon pot. Plus get this lady situated into her new home. Cant wait! Some background information on my first run with GBK. It's a VERY robust variety packing hella branches, hella quick. Prime candidate for continues ongoing lst work. To maintain a clean,uncongested even canopy. She can become a jungle quick if left untamed. Shes very easy going in the nutrient department. Not hard to keep this one happy. Packs on lots of weight everywhere towards end of flower. Branches most definitely need some support or they will come crashing down. The flavor and aroma from this variety sre majestic. The intense indica effects are heavenly. Not hard to guess why it's back in the grow room for round 2.

Did 2nd flush yesterday. 2 weeks straight ph water 6.7 so far. 2 more days til lights off for 3 nights. Nearly all cloudy , no amber at all. Smells like skittles/coffee.

Papaya cookies are incredible! All the pistils turn purple, incredible beauty of this plant. We are so happy to have caught this extraordinary phenotype and are looking forward to an early harvest in about 2 weeks time.

day 2 - the amnesia haze has stretched because of too high temperatures and too much distance to the LED i used. why only one of them, idk but they still stand good on their own, both. still just spraying the soil like 2x a day at the moment. day 5 - after i took the picture i refilled some soil on top because of the stretch. her sister, wich even stretched less then her, was falling over to the side about 45° after the first time propper watering (not spraying today) and i noticed that she actually had her root system already above soil level. 1 small root (1cm) was going above soil completeley and the stem was very white like 2mm above soil. when i noticed i refilled like 1,2 cm soil and just for safety reasons i gave my own the same help. just in case. at the moment they still go inside over night and also get some extra day time vor vegeing under a small veg LED (about 25 watts or something) just to be sure she does not bloom somehow.

The Apple Betty girls have performed very well this week! The LST began, and there was some great growth in side branching. I also started this week off with introducing them to some nutrients ❤️ Start of week 4, the girls had responded well to transplanting, so I decided to start with some LST. My main method is to use soft wire wraps (dollar store purchase!) I poke one hole in the side of the pot near the top, and then go directly opposite that hole and poke through to make another. The first hole is for a wire wrap to secure the base of the seedling from pulling right out or over too far. The other hole is for the direction you want to bend your plant to. I start by slowly working the stem between my fingers at the point where I want it to bend. Twisting and pinching slowly so not to snap. *wait a day or two after your last water, or it will be easier to snap* once it’s ready to flop, I use the wire tie to hold down the top of the plant as close as I can to the nearest shoots. I’ll usually leave the plant like this for a couple of days, adjusting the ties, and then take them off to let them recover . Watered with a small dose of the full line of Advanced Nutrients I will be using for this grow. The girls got about 500 ml at the beginning of the week, but 2 days in I could tell they wanted more. By the end of the week they are taking nearly 1/2 gallon (which will give me 10% runoff) At the end of the week I increased the intensity of the BP2500 to 190 watts at the wall and the girls did show a few wrinkles as they adjusted, but have quickly recovered. I haven’t topped these girls, and I’m not sure if I am going to… thoughts? Happy Gardening 🇨🇦❤️🌱😎💨

The Northern Light produced almost twice as much as White Widow. As they were in the same basin, I attribute the better performance to three factors. 1. Roots made it to basin faster. The WW's pellet dried out before her roots were in the water as the airstone shifted right under the NL. 2. The second and more powerful light was placed directly over the NL, however, the space is so small that they both should have benfited. 3. I did a better LST job on the NL. Overall, happy with the harvest. The buds are airy, my fault. The smell is very lemony with a bit of an earthy smell during the cure. Currently, the taste is minty and refreshing, but still a bit heavy. Effects are nice. Noticeable but not overwhelming or tiring. I think potency will come with age, But both plants tolerated my inexperience and have produced enough fruit to get me by. What else could you ask for out of a first grow?! She's looking very healthy and strong strong, now we're getting a beautiful bushy shape with a few bud sides as you guys can see, I'm about to flip my lady to flower very soon. Let's see what happens!

1.3. - Entering one of the final weeks. Creamatics will be getting pure water from now and Fritters will be feeded at least this week. Buds are looking great, they're smelly and dense 😎 4.3. - Creamatics are almost ready, I will leave them for few more days. Fritters still have one week left at least. Aroma is really strong and I can feel it all over the room. Buds are fat and frosty 🍏 Watered 💧 6.3. - Today was probably last feeding day for Fritters and tomorrow I'm going to harvest the Creamatics as it will be the last day of 10th week. Smells like Rubber bands coated in a berry sugar or berry sryup very interesting on the nose! Harvested day 67 ish maybe a couple more hard ot tell outdoor Split the harvest into drying buds and some to made into fresh frozen hash. i can dry weigh the fresh frozen buds and put that weight in the wet section and i will put the to smoke buds in the dry weight section so total between the two will be the whole plant Drying was a big mishap got condensation around day 10 of drying and it caused some mold 🤦‍♂️ right around the time i was going to cure! Found a peroxide soak that ill post butt it seemed to take off all the mold without affecting tricomb heads! Had to re dry for another week afterward i feel like the re dry maybe messed with the terps because it definitely never got the smell back like i thought but who knows slmost 3 weeks into cure coukd get better but doubt it

Jus trying to make the best out of a bad situation....when is not pouring rain...got excessive heat warning but still gonna pull tru with something....girls are smelling lovely and got that sticky feel to dem leave you fingers wet jus by passing over...harvesting is the upcoming week jus to prevent any further damages.

Hi Growmies, My apologies for the delayed update, but work life balance got a bit out of wack recently. Anyways, water was changed on time and general maintenance took place. Continued with very light defoliation to really guarantee that all the shoots get equal light exposure. She is turning out to be a real beauty and literally no Scr.O.G was necessary due to her natural structure. Buds are already forming very compact and dense to touch, something that’s always a good sign ;) Since this is my first proper DWC grow I am actually quite impressed by the root growth and the resulting nutrient uptake, as well as vigor in plant growth. Is it btw just me or is this website getting slower, buggier and laggier by the day? Videos won’t upload, weeks don’t reflect, diaries won’t update….
