Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. A cinch to grow and really had no problems at all. It’s my first time trying anything from Mephisto Genetics and I’m very impressed. Gave nothing but filtered water after applying the 5 tbsp of grow dots at the beginning of veg. Went into flower pretty early but still grew to a nice size with a beautiful cola and had some great trichome production. Would definitely run it again!

I think I've missed a week off the diary, im in week 3 of flower, does it look ok? Im happy so far for a first timer, ive had her under a bulb but the suns nice here today so got her out, its not the 1st time so I trust it'll be OK and not a shock, I seem to have been lucky in this so far so hopefully it'll turn out OK in another 2 weeks or so? Any info or ideas are appreciated, cheers

Hi all my growers friends) The buds are add many mass. They looking good as for me) the leaves starting yellow extremely fast. I think that harvest will be in 7-10 days. So about 1 week with light and 3 days with fully dark and finish). So I will add photos every 2 days. See you later...;) Day 66. I see progress every day... 8 days till harvest

We're into the start of September and they've only just begin flowering. Hopefully they get to finish. It's looking to be mid to late October!

Removed all the new side shoots and the first set of fanleaves. Did this because I want the plant to focus all of its energy on the main stem. I dont need any new side shoots. I thought that this weekend I would flip them in to flower. But I'm going to wait some more. I want to see more height in the plants and I think that after this defoliation that hight will come quick😁🚀 PATIENCE IS KEY! On day 75 I changed the light colour from blue to red to see if this can promote some stretch before changing the lightcycle to flowering. ‼️I did not change the hours of light‼️ On day 76 it seems like there has definitely been some kind of reaction from the plants overnight. They seem to have stretched a little bit. I'll keep a close eye on em these coming days.

This is the start of week 6 of flower! She will be getting the last bit of nutrients given to her this week. This way she's got a little bit of food for the next two or three weeks. Then she can ripen up the last week or two with nothing. I'll be top dressing her with some Kashi, flower finisher, worm castings, bloom booster...

Chop day. Everything is looking and smelling incredible. The range of smells I've got so far are: floral, grape, blueberry, gas, burnt rubber, tangerine, funk. Everything appeared fully mature beside the Cambodian x Meat Breath and Pak Man so decided this was the best time to cut them down.

Day 74 and there getting chopped today! I thought the harvest was going to be broken into two separate weeks considering the times on the Choco was listed about 7-10 days sooner then the DD (wich was listed at 70 days for flowering) However looking at the tricombs on the Chocolate Marshmallow most pheno didnt start getting amber untill the DDs did as well! A couple DD pheno could have maybe gone a couple more days but we will see! Going for reveg on all the pheno, since i didnt get to take any clones. We will see how it goes!

Sugar high came out very nice. Has a very gluey terp almost like super glue. For an f1 this genetic grows like a weed lol but seriously Sugar high by Mephisto genetics should be taken seriously!!!

Week 6 flower, half way there! Buds are starting to fill in now and getting some decent frost. A couple of tops are getting more light than others, and fattening a bit more and looking real nice. It looks like there is some purple starting to come out at the tops. Also spotted some discolouration on a few leaves closest to the light, so I turned the one light down to 60-75%, no need to push it at this point and burn her up! She will go as fast as the soil and environmental conditions will allow her to. Hand watered in Gaia Green Soluble Seaweed Extract 0-0-17, otherwise water drip is running on same schedule. Just using straight tap water that sits in a 30 gallon reservoir with a submergible water pump running 24/7 breaking surface and aerating water. Water comes out the tap @ 7ph and less than 15ppm.
