Starting to slow down their feed , they are drinking much slower then before and in a few days I’ll do a quick flush fully watering the pots till water comes out the bottom and another 500ml of magnesium sulphate so that I have something back into the substrate right away to prevent any lost they might suffer from an under feed in these crucial periods

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. As mentioned last week the plant faced a slight salt lockdown that I resolved giving her 6 Lt of water in 6 days with a ppm of 125 , resulting in a overall runoff water of 800 ppm . Yesterday I give her 2lt of fertilized water with a 6 pH and 303 ppm , resulting in a runoff water of 573 ppm and 6.8 pH , health and colour of the plant improved . I managed a big defoliation in the beginning of the week and moved my secondary light to best cover the lover branches of the canopy.

more later 3rd Apr, today is day of two Amnesias - its time. they are on peak trichoms are milky 10% amber. Zkittles is on grotek final flush strawberry I trying if it change her smell and she is good now, but I fed her week ago with rocket fuel some fertilizers for peppers (11-6-8) coz im was out with bloom fertilizer, Amnesia 3 get this feed too but little bit improvemed with bio grow and rest of biobloom, yesterday I bought Powder Feeding PK booster/mineral and thats should be good. More later after some smoke :D

Day 49-56 (June 18th - 25th) (Day 51) Slurricanes and tuna are doing excellent despite their hail damaged leaves. I’m seeing good growth and decent dry downs. One of them looks like it’s been ravaged by pests but I still can’t find any evidence or signs of a pest. I’m suspecting caterpillars so I’m going to grab some BTK killer and also some all purpose insecticide sometime this week if I have time. The clones are all really lagging so they won’t be flipped until July 15th at least. I’m still not seeing normal growth on any of them yet. It’s still quite gnarled and twisted. (Day 52) The slurricane and tuna roots are starting to poke through the bottom of my pots. This is usually from underwatering, a thick soil or a hot root zone. I’m going to give everything except for the autos a good watering with some runoff. I am going to start incorporating 5mm sand into all of my soil mixes to help make the soil more loamy and give it some better drainage. I will also top dress every container and bed plant I have. (Day 53) I was at a local department store today and I was shocked to see pallets of Destiny dark matter soil selling for 60% off! I bought 10 bags for a hundred bucks. At any hydro store that would have costed me 250 at least. I might go grab more because it looks like no one is buying it for 60% off even. (Day 54) I’m going to be harvesting both of my indoor crops today and tomorrow or the next day I am going to be reusing the soil-coco blend for the slurricanes. I’m first going to till it, add a gallon of sea compost, a gallon of Destiny soil and a few cups of 5mm sand per container. I will use the excess for 5 gal pots. I will be amending with: 5 tablespoons of nature’s pride bloom 4 tablespoons of kelp meal 2 tablespoons of Gaia green AP 2 tablespoons of glacial rock dust 2 tablespoons of oyster shell flour 2 tablespoons of alfalfa meal 1 tablespoon of rock dust blend 1/4 teaspoon of langbeinite (Day 56) The autos are really making a comeback now. I was under the impression that I was working against the clock and they would start flowering after 3-5 weeks. I guess if they’re stunted from the cold they will delay flowering. I don’t see any pistils or signs of flowering yet so I don’t think they’ve officially started flowering yet I didn’t get a chance to do my transplant this week or pest control. I will get to it ASAP because my photos are drinking almost a liter a day

Having cal mag issues going to hit the grow store tomorrow am and see can I get some organic cal mag and see if that helps other than that no real issues 2/24 I’m going sit my dumb ass down and chill I did a defoliation and man I over did it I think it’s pretty aggressive and i don’t know what I was thinking I was just clipping away 🤦🏾‍♂️…… anyway got some calmag for the color issues only going 1/2 tsp see how that goes hopefully when the new growth and more stretch happens it’ll look a lot better I’m also bottom feeding the calmag hope that works too

The past week I've been trying to identify problems with my climate and feeding. Three out of two plants (so also one of the XL Runtz) stay behind with exactly the same problems. I've been ventilating more to get cooler air into the tent. This seems to resolve some of the issues but has cost some development. Reason enough to call off the battle. The playing field was influenced by me as I'm still getting to know 'the rules of engagement' with growing autos indoors. They are way more sensitive to influences than my usual regulars. So I'm using all this info to tune my tent, for climate, and the soil for nutrients. So the next run will be more stable. Still, these strains completely amaze me with how fast they put out these buds. It is almost alien in 6 short weeks up to now. Considering my options for summer. Dealing with temps in a hot attic, or start growing some plants indoors and transfer to outdoor when it gets too hot. The jury is still out on this but the invasion of Ukraine could play a role in this as my government keeps pumping Russian oil and gas for our energy needs and Sunshine and me stand solid in our support for a free Ukraine. Dont know why but while i was defoliating the Chemdog smelled a little bit like soap haha. Turned on the reservoir for a couple of minutes. (Till the AutoPots are full and the valve closes) Rised the pots aswell, so the canopy is very even. I let them recover from the heavy defoliation i did, and next week i will slowly increase the light's strength. (Now still at 50% 50cm)

Day 48. They look as sad as pitty UK summer. Days are in low 20, nights as low as 11.... constant rain .... Have doubts about that strain, but #1 is getting somewhere ;))))) others in shade and dont grow as big as they should by now. Picky strain in my mind. My friend has last bean in greenhouse and she is weakest from 3 strains he tries . #1 lost two sets of bottom branches , #2 and #3 lost three sets each. They needed good clearing from worthless sides. Cleared all garden from fresh grow, aerated soil, put slug pellets and thats it. Came late so leaves are droopy. Plus i think heavily represent overwatering ;))) but with such air ..... I see some preflowers, so count this as last veg week. Will visit in two weeks to top up with PK boost. Have some crazy person in city , look what he does to one post box ;))) Happy Growing !!!

This is the last week of the Vegetation stage. At the beginning of the week they were trimmed to allow light to penetrate the canopy. Then at the end of the week they were fed a nutrient tea made from Gonzo Farms - GROW. On the last day the lights were set to a 12/12 schedule to induce flowering. Now, I will keep a close eye on them to spot the males. Once flowering begins, the males will grow "bananas". Then, those plants will be removed from the grow. 😜 Stay tuned for the Flowering stage!

To minimize the risk of mold, I hung a fan in the foil tent. Hopefully it will work. It would be a shame if the Bubatz were affected by mold. Otherwise, their buds are thickening and hardening, and the main shoot is getting thicker and thicker. The test of the homemade manure will continue for another week, and comfrey manure will be added soon. A few leaves were removed. Everything about this strain is excellent. Explosive lateral branching and vigorous growth makes this strain live up to its name. She was daunting to keep up with defoliation at times. Her smell is pure diesel and tastes of diesel and skunk. Smokes great, comes on smooth then busts your lungs.
