Often, marijuana growers who have their plants in indoor grow tents or rooms with artificial lighting, take into account parameters such as temperature and relative humidity to maximize plants growth and bloom, thus obtaining abundant harvest with top quality flowers. As we will see later, these factors affect different processes of the plant, such as transpiration or nutrient uptake. However, we usually forget about another important factor that is related to the aforementioned ones: vapor pressure deficit or VPD. Broadly speaking, VPD is the difference between the amount of water vapor that the atmosphere is able to retain (which depends on temperature) and the amount of water vapor contained in it (relative humidity). It is usually measured in kilopascals (kPa). Providing our plants with a correct relationship between temperature and relative moisture will keep us on the right VPD parameters, increasing the plant’s activity and thus improving its growth and showing its full potential during the flowering phase. The ideal would be to adjust both parameters (temperature and humidity) to get the best possible VPD value, so that the development of plants will be amazing.In the chart above you can see the right temperature and moisture values to maximize the development of cannabis plants. The green zone shows you optimal values of VPD, in which it would be ideal to maintain the environment. The orange zone shows correct values, in which plants should not have problems to develop normally. However, red areas show values in which your plants will be very far from hit their full potential, since the relation between temperature and moisture is not optimal. With relatively high values of VPD (between 5 and 12) plants tend to open their stomata and release a considerable amount of water vapor into the environment (increasing their transpiration). This increase in transpiration results in an increase in the plant’s photosynthetic activity, which will need more nutrients and will improve its overall growth, both during growth and bloom. The best range is between 7.5 and 10.5, which we have marked in green. However, we must be careful that VPD is not too high (dark red zone) since the plant would close its stomata to avoid releasing too much water vapor to the environment, which would result in fast dehydration due to excessive transpiration. On the other hand, if VPD is too low (light red zone), the plant will also close its stomata for not releasing more water into the atmosphere, which in this case would be already saturated (it would have reached the maximum water retention capacity in a specific temperature). In this way, reducing transpiration will also reduce photosynthesis, which has a direct impact on the plant’s development and yield. That way, VPD is essential when it comes to offer the best conditions for the development of plants, also to understand its water requirements according to the nutrients used and thus adjust them correctly to meet the grower’s expectations. Comenzamos con la fertilización de nuestras plantas, correspondiendo con la semana 2 de la tabla. Recordad que la semana de germinación no cuenta como vegetativo. Mezclamos 4ml x litro de Grow-Soldier by JUJU Royal BioBizz y 1ml x litro de Green-Mystic by JUJU Royal BioBizz. Total 10 litros, 5 de agua osmotizada y 5 de agua del grifo, mezclados con los 40ml y 10ml, de los fertilizantes. Ajustamos el PH con reguladores BIO, en el caso que sea necesario y regamos todas las macetas. De esta forma aportaremos los nutrientes necesarios para que nuestras plantas puedan comer en el sustrato de de coco.

Questa settimana come è andata? Hehehehe è andata a meraviglia!!! LEI E SEMPLICEMENTE PERFETTA!!! cresce sempre di più le cime si ammassano e diventano sempre più dure! I colori sono stupendi e il profumo di limone mi ha invaso la villa!!! La struttura della pianta e veramente robusta ovviamente dopo un lst molto scrupoloso! Veramente una grande bella signora! Rimango sempre meravigliato con i semi di fast buds, veramente secondo me e la più valida di tutti! Ho visto i tricomi con il mio lumagny 100x e sono ancora bianco/trasparenti e si ammassano sempre di più! Deduco altre 2-3 settimane penso di fare un ultima settimana di nutrimenti e poi via con il flush! Laverò le radici per almeno 10 giorni, voglio un fumo morbido e deciso! This week i turn off 1 Fan cuz it to strong for flower left 1 outside on. Flower get bigger everyday make me feel so nicely i add more nutrients to 1000 ppm before add Terpinator hope they're flowering well. Hey everyone :-) I am so glad that all the clones are looking great again because the pump failed overnight in the last few days and everyone hung their heads the next day 😔. Once again you notice how fast it can go as soon as the electronics fail. But everything was fixed in time and, as always, I have all the parts available for replacement. They look great again and stretch their heads towards the light :-). It remains exciting to see which lady stays in the end because, as mentioned in the last diary, I will only leave a single clone to train him to a single bush with topping and ScrOG ☺️. I hope the next electronic failure will stay away for a long time 😅🙏🏻. FastBuds FBT01 aka AK47 29th December 2019 Week 3 of Flowering Begins...................................... Well the first 2 weeks of flowering was all about the stretch and at 69cm high she is a bit stretchy . Only tester number 13 is taller at 73cm. I fed her a third of a cup of Mr B's Green Trees Bloom mix aswell as a qtr tspoon of Great white Mycorhizae. We have a fairly cool week forecast compared to the rest of the state but I'm sure it will be sunny enough for this girl to thrive 💪 I hope you all have a great New Years and I'll be back next week for another update on the AK47.

Plantulas mostrando un buen enraizamiento. Se preparo una solucion de Elite 91 Myco Jordan iniciando la semana con: -PPM : 80 -pH : 5.8 3/7/2022 se transplanto a cubos de lana de roca de 15cm x 15cm. Los cubos fueron submergidos bajo una solucion de Mills Start R con: PPM : 100 pH: 5.7 En el transplante se uso Elite 91 Myco Jordan en forma de polvo para cubrir el hueco del cubo y cubrir las raizes de las plantulas para reducir el estres del transplante.

Que pasa familia, puesto que la compañera y yo estamos bajo mínimos, hemos decidido proceder a un lavado de raíces temprano, y un estrés hídrico para limpiar raíces y estresarla un poco. Todo va sobre ruedas , puesto que el Covid afecta al confinamiento, decidimos cortar las gorillas estos días siguientes para secar y en nada tener algún bote para subsistir 😂🤣. -El estrés hídrico es reducir cada riego la cantidad de agua, para que la planta se estrese y escupa tricomas sus últimos días. Esta variedad de sweet seeds es INCREÍBLE, aun cortándola pronto me parece que los resultados son inmejorables, su olor a melón me encanta y se ve repleta de thc. Nos vemos en la cosecha fumetillas, y mucho ánimo para todos.

Another week closer.... This grow went really well, we are at 43 days budding only have about 15 to 20 more days to go. Both the Gorilla Glue #4 and the Shiskaberry grew without any problems, Great genetics.. All 3 of the Shiskaberrys were the same and you would swear they came from a clone but no from seed and grew like twins..... Not much else to say.
