From indoor to outdoor :)

Switched the plants to flower this week and have noticed tons of growth since. Both plants have turned out to be female and are both producing pistils. Have run into a potential problem while defoliating I noticed a couple leaves on one stem that look like they were burnt almost. They weren’t bad but I haven’t noticed it anywhere else. I looked over a lot of the leaves with a healers loupe under 60x magnification and didn’t notice and insects, the leaves were also growing into the side of the tent so that might be what cause it but not too sure.

Week 11: Final Countdown Light Mold Issues: Despite careful management, I encountered some light mold issues on both plants. Fortunately, I discovered the mold spots early and was able to remove them without significant losses. This underscores the importance of vigilance during these final weeks. Tangie: Tangie’s buds continue to swell and mature beautifully. The aroma of fresh orange peels is more pronounced, and the smell is fantastic. While not as frosty with resin as Gorilla Cookies, Tangie makes up for it with her delightful scent. Currently, about 20% of the trichomes are still clear, with the rest turning cloudy. I'm aiming for all cloudy and very few amber trichomes to achieve an uplifting effect. Tangie will receive one more feeding with Finalpart before starting the flushing process. Gorilla Cookies: For Gorilla Cookies, I plan to feed her with Finalpart only one more time, and then it’s flushing time. The trichomes are mostly cloudy, with no amber trichomes yet. Unlike Tangie, Gorilla Cookies is covered in resin, with a strong skunky aroma that intensifies daily. Pest Management and Plant Health: The sticky traps have been effective in keeping thrips at bay, and there have been no new issues with aphids. Overall, both plants appear healthy and vibrant, showing no signs of stress as they approach harvest. Environmental Conditions: The weather remains hot but humid. While the plants are receiving less light on the balcony compared to the garden, this hasn’t significantly affected the ripening process. Having them on the balcony makes it much easier to monitor them daily, reducing the risk of mildew and significant losses. Final Thoughts: As harvest time approaches, I'm excited for the final results. Everything is prepared for harvest, and the weather will stay perfect for the last few days. I plan to give the plants as much time as needed to reach their full potential. Update 08.08 During my morning inspection, I found mildew on both plants. For the Gorilla Cookies, I had to remove some larger mold spots inside the buds. I carefully disassembled parts of the plant to ensure I didn’t miss any mold and ultimately decided to harvest it. Although I couldn’t let it fully ripen as planned, the trichomes were about 90% cloudy and 10% clear. That most be good enough. For Tangie, the compact and bushy growth led to some mold issues. I took the largest colas off and gave them a thorough inspection to make sure no mold was left behind. So far, I've harvested about 70% of the plant. Since most of the pistils on the remaining parts are still white, I'm giving them a bit more time to mature. I'll keep feeding with Finalpart at a slightly lower dosage and see if we can squeeze out a bit more potential from these final buds! Update 12.08: Final Countdown We’re almost there! Most of the trichomes are now cloudy, with a few amber ones starting to show up on the top buds—signaling that she’s nearly ready for harvest. Today, I gave her the final dose of Finalpart. I’m convinced that Finalpart has made a significant impact, boosting resin production and speeding up the ripening process. The buds are looking absolutely fantastic. Once the coco dries out, I’ll give her a thorough flush to eliminate any remaining minerals from the grow medium. I’m optimistic that this will further enhance the aroma and flavor, making the final product even more exceptional. I wanted to use the flowering nutrients (I think it's the bloom nutrients) but it's been raining a lot lately. The soil is still quite saturated so I'll wait and see if it'll dry out a bit in a few days before I give it some food. So far the trichomes are more visible on both beauties. I've started to trim more of the lower and fan leaves. I would say about 1/4 of the bottom is pretty airy. Working my way up every day. It has been cold the last 2 days dipping anywhere between 10C to 15C in the evening and day time high of 15C to 18C. It's supposed to heat up (25C-28C) in the next few days but then back with some cold days again. That's the problem with Canadian Mother Nature; can't make up her mind. This will test my plants and see how they do with the ups and downs. Hopefully it won't affect them that much. I've also started rotating them in case the sun isn't getting certain parts of the plant. I'm not sure if it matters but it isn't cumbersome to do so why not. So far I've been lucky to not worry about any infestation nor abnormal leaf coloring. I usually do a deep watering only once a week if it's a normal week with no scorching hot days. There was a period of 3 scorching hot days and they definitely were droopy and thirsty. So I must have watered them 3x over a span of 7 days. Very excited to continue to see them grow into beasts!

Starting to get orange hairs, smell is fruity and delicious. Can't wait.

The girls are smelling really nice…turned out a seed project but I sure would get some fire smoke. I’ve been feeding her 3 gallons of water daily preparing her for some charcoal ash…

Hola a todos! Espero que anden bien!!.. Les comento que hice esta semana, la he regado con agua un riego y el último hoy, con nutrientes en sus dosis indicadas más arriba. La planta ha crecido mucho esta semana 35 cm en 7 días, ha pegado el estirón, y también han mostrado sus preflores. Esta semana he tenido una humedad alta 70% y no la he podido bajar,pero con humedad y una temperatura que ha rozado los 28 grados por momentos, he notado que las plantas les gusta ese ambiente, por eso el crecimiento que ha pegado. Hoy (17/09 ) ,dia 35, de la Strawberry Gorila Auto he quitado las hojas más grandes que tapaban las ramas bajas, espero que en este momento no estrese la planta. Bueno, no los aburro más, nos vemos la próxima semana!. Buenos humos!!

Well that wraps up the seed preservation run! It was a great learning experience as there were several major hurdles to get over the finish line, but nothing worthwhile comes easy. Buds are really starting to put on weight I was a little nervous because I have never grown autoflowers before and to I have never done low-stress training before so far everything has worked out magnificently minus the pH that was off and the temperature drop elsewise these plants are all significantly larger than originally anticipated

More haircuts this week! I am very aggressively trying to keep up with the canopy growth. I'm continuing to remove the small branches underneath the canopy - more or less stripping the undergrowth, while defoliating around the growth sites that have made it to the canopy surface. I'm unsure of how much more growth to wait for before I send her into flower. Maybe next week? Who knows! Not me! Hah! Happily accepting any advice from any experienced main-liners out there! 😉 She's been super thirsty - I have to add a gallon every few days to keep up! I also started adding some p31 Microbes to the reservoir to see what I can see. 😎
