This week I added 0.1ml of Jungle Indabox PH Down nutrients, the pistils are already burned, but I have to pull the soil pH down. Trichomes are still transparent, at least a crowd of weeks will still bloom. 😉

One week left on the 2 that are already in flower. The third just started flowering in its 7th week for some reason. This was a decent grow. I learned a lot by messing up a lot. I’m most definitely a newbie. Will be doing another run on these immediately. Have to test my skills to have it grow faster and yield more. Thank you all who has followed our journey.

Well that was fun. First time delving into the homegrown world and I’m officially hooked. Following the cocoforcannabis nutrient schedule and method, I ended up with 200 grams of dry bud and an extra 40 grams of trim/larf for edibles. I may have had them in the dry tent for a day too long, the hygrometers in the jars have settled around 54% RH, but they feel pretty damn sticky and moist to me. Been toking the larf and the high is really nice, definitely smoother than anything I’ve gotten from a dispensary. Can definitely taste the 🍇 and I’m excited to see what a little more cure will do. Already have my seeds ready for round 2, thanks for checking out the grow!

Growing super well. Gave some molasses and kelp. The pot has an ample supply of bone meal and blood meal so I’m not concerned about nutrients... yet. It is a very supple willowy plant and winds here can be vicious going into late summer and worse in the fall so decided to start training. Video shows how even a modest breeze blows those thin leaves around.

From all the reviews ive read on this strain i was expecting more resinous buds tbh. Trichs look good though. Definitely will grow again, waiting on the dry and cure now

Both the girls are doing very well and are continuing to stretch. No problems at all from either one of the plants. They deff started sprouting there pistols and where Alaskan purple fell behind in veg, she is now ahead in the flowering stage. The bottom leaves shrivelled which I am aware this will happen during this stage so I cut them off and there is a little nutes burm on Alaskan purple so the next two feedings will be with distilled water with pH of 6.5.

Going into week 2 with extreme excitement. Made some changes to my custom grow tent (Camping closet lol). Added better circulation (14cm) computer fan to bring in the fresher air & provide more circulation as the plants were experiencing some canoeing at a stage. Girls now growing really well. Increased nutrient feed from "first true leaves" to "Grow" according to Flora Coco chart.

Another week growing strong! Took advantage of the last summer days here in the island to get her some real sunlight, which I can tell she loved by the boosted growth. Nothing like the real thing ☀️

I harvested this plant on the same week that I pulled down the 2 B Blunt, so there was no more progress in the garden. Was thinking that it was going to take a bit longer to cut down than it did (I wet trim). Feel free to let me know why that is not the proper way to trim... I have my reasons and it has been working for a while.

I can see this strain having a great yield and quality potential with consistent optimal conditions, but haven’t found it the most resistant to any nutrient and ph imbalance or fluctuations.

Day 64 - Starting week 10 and gave this girl her last feeding of nutes before harvest. The next 2 weeks will just be water and foxfarm’s sledgehammer. Day 65 - Time is winding down for this girl but still thinking 2ish weeks. She’s still got quite a bit of clear trichs so just gonna keep a close eye on her. Day 66 - Nothing new today, just watching the trichs and waiting for them to tell me it’s time to chop. Day 67 - Looks great and almost finished. Only saw a handful of clear trichs and the rest were cloudy but still waiting for a good chunk to amber up so when I see that, she’ll get the chop. Day 68 - She’s getting closer to chop day for sure. Seeing a bit more amber in there and waiting till she’s about 40%. Gave her some water today and next watering, I’ll add some sledgehammer to the water to start pushing the nutes out. Day 69 - A lot more amber trichs showing today but still not quite where I’d like it. I did lower the light to about 12” yesterday and today it blew up with frost. It was already frosty but today she looked like frosting and the pics don’t do her justice. Might be getting the chop this weekend. Day 70 - It’s the end of week 10 and she’s getting closer to chopping. More and more amber popping up but still not to my liking. Maybe chopping late this weekend or early next week.

They don't have brains like humans, but they have evolved sophisticated ways to perceive and react to various environmental cues, including light, gravity, touch, water, sound, and even the presence of other plants. This ability, known as plant perception, allows them to adjust their growth, defend themselves, and even communicate with each other. Infrared light, particularly near-infrared (NIR), can influence plant growth and development by impacting various processes including initiation and elongation. UVB radiation inhibits stem and hypocotyl elongation in plants. Moderate UV-B exposure can cause a decrease in stem and leaf elongation, leading to a more compact plant architecture. Higher UV-B intensities, like 7.5 kJ·m−2, can lead to reduced elongation. So it becomes a dance of initiating a stretch to seek to higher ppfd, then whenever you want the stretching to slow down,UVB inhibits the stretch by altering hormone balance,, coupled with the high-intensity dli once you get her to a height where you want. Being autos I don't have much time to play around. So we are playing fast and loose, get stretched, and then spread her open. You get the idea. 86F 30% RH with the lower side of optimal on ppfd, with a smudgering of infra-red to initiate response of making her stretch more so than normal. Once she sprouts up in height, I drop metrics to 77F 55%RH% while upping the ppfd, giving her a dash of extra 430nm, giving the grow more of a 6000K. This encourages denser growth with less elongation. Higher side of optimal PPFD, with the auxin hormone balance changed, the side stems are starting to shoot up to the same canopy level as the apex (almost). Normally takes me 2 untrained toppings before a plant will flatten its canopy. I didn't take enough off the apex to do it in one chop, it was only day 10, so there really wasn't much to top from without creating unpredictable results using fim, opted just to keep it to a clean topping. Even predictability over the Chaos of the"Fim". Brainfart: Remember, the veg stage creates the skeleton that will stretch out into flowers. How dense you create the skeleton through light intensity will determine the density of your clusters as they form cola, as long as you can keep up with the demands. Increasing light intensity generally leads to plants having shorter internodal spacing, meaning the distance between nodes (where leaves grow) on a stem is reduced. Everything went well over vacation! The girls are doing okay overall. They needed bigger pots and it's starting to show overall. Another reason not to use autos cause I can't lollipop. But the watering process is going well. This Gorilla Cookie is my girl in this tent. She's doing well and hopefully starts to look better. I'm considering using synthetic nutrients in this grow to start giving for power. The plant started off good. Unfortunately the environment wasn't the best to begin with but overall I think with the deficiencies still present. It turned out okay. This was grown with just the standard grow micro bloom. Due to covid, I was unable to order additional macro nutrients. Yeilds suffered as a result but overall happy for my first grow.
