Week 5 Veg Report: SCROG Netting, Massive Leafs & Precise Data Mastery! 🌱 Girls Growing Stronger Than Ever! 🌱 This week has been truly epic in the grow room—so much so that it’s time to bring in the SCROG net! With the canopy expanding and the younger ones still working to catch up, the SCROG net will help me achieve that perfect, even canopy. A well-placed SCROG not only ensures better light penetration but also gives the smaller plants a chance to spread out and thrive alongside their bigger sisters. Now, let’s dive deep into the SCROG method. The Screen of Green (SCROG) technique is a grower’s secret weapon for maximizing space, light efficiency, and yields. The concept is simple but powerful—train the plants to grow horizontally along the net, forcing them to expose multiple budding sites instead of just a single cola. This way, the canopy spreads evenly, improving light distribution and air circulation throughout the tent. Too high or too low, and we’re asking for trouble, but this sensor ensures I’m always in that perfect range. The PPH-2, on the other hand, is all about maintaining the perfect pH balance. A fluctuating pH can mean nutrient lockout or deficiencies, but thanks to this sensor, I get a constant read on my pH levels, so the plants are always in their sweet spot for optimal nutrient absorption. EC: 0.4 Watering: Both 1000 ml. EC: 1.4 Defoliated both plants and attached some shoots to the rack. She got really big fan leaves! I also supercropped some branches. 20-3 Temps: 18.2 to 22.8 degrees Humidity: 59% to 69% 21-3 Temps: 18.5 to 23.4 degrees Humidity: 57% to 67% Watering: Both 1000 ml. 22-3 Temps: 19.4 to 24.1 degrees Humidity: 55% to 67% Watering: Both 1000 ml. Set the strength of the light to 50% 23-3 Temps: 19.8 to 24.8 degrees Humidity: 58% to 67% Watering: Both 1000 ml. As you can see, instead of removing the leaves, i tucked down all the leaves to open up the canopy. I will see if i like this method as its the first time i try this. I also attached some more shoots to the rack, its looking nicely spread out now :) The #2 makes my fingers very sticky and smells really strong! I love it!

05/03/19 Kept it simple, haven't done much apart from lower the light from 45cm to 40cm. Keeping the thermostat fan set to no higher than 25c Open the doors once a day and give a spray of water to the walls of the wardrobe 3 x daily The soil is still moist from a feed on the 03/05/19 so I'll just wait until the topsoil is dry by 3cm ******* 08/03/19 The plants were looking a little sad so I've watered them 1L nute loaded for each plant and started with some LST

Harvest day 66 since time switch to 12 / 12 h Hey guys :-) Finally it's time 💚 The lady is done the large leaves have been removed and hung upside down to dry in the dark drying room. You can now stay there for 13-15 days at a temperature of 18-20 degrees and 55-62% humidity. After 13-15 days it is neatly trimmed by hand and placed in jars with boveda packs 62. After 4 weeks Boveda 58% come in and are ready for testing ;-). After everything has been cut cleanly, the last update comes with the smoke report and the finished pictures. Let's get to the plant 💚. Unfortunately, the rating system at Growdiaries is a bit strange because I have to give the stars before the Smoke Report and in the end it might have led to more stars in terms of taste. . 6 weeks in veg from seedling

The SCROG net was installed on the last day of Week 6, I included a couple pics from that night, to compare with how the plant looked the next day, which was the first day of Week 7. My nerve damaged fingers caused me to be a little rougher with her while the net was going on than I like, but as you can see, she bounced back very quickly and was reaching for the light less than 24 hours after being mangled lol. I will continue to systematically defoliate the upper canopy every night or two for the next several weeks, and will completely strip most everything below the net. Every night or two I'll tuck any branches that need tucking, and will remove any fan leaves covering bud sites. She spread out pretty well in the net, and truth be known i probably could have gotten away with a 6 week veg after, plants are a decent size in the net with the stretch left to go. Flip happens at the end of Week 7 The manganese issue seems to be getting much better by the end of the week. Will keep my pH levels at 5.8 for the remainder of this grow, and any subsequent grows. I also devised a fan mount to save on space in the net. Instead of standing the fan, i simply cut a piece of 1x3 to length, drilled 2 holes in each end, large enough for zip ties to pass through. then I simply zip tied it to the tent poles, took the legs off the fan, and screwed the base to the board. I placed a piece of foam on top, as the screws were a shade long and I was afraid the small protruding tip would eventually puncture the tent. Works much better than expected. No movement in the mount at all.

Another good week in the bag. The girls are getting water every day. The shortest one drinks the most. Interesting. They have a sugary smell to them. It's hard to describe. I'll be interested in the final smell. I decided to bust out the microacope and to my surprise the trichomes are pretty milky already! It's only been five weeks! Will monitor to see the amber but still for this early! Started using the UVB! Started at 30 minutes for a few days. Now at one hour. The tests started at two hours at three weeks out which would be now. So gonna increase tomorrow another thirty and continue to ramp up.
