Being autos I don't have much time to play around. So we are playing fast and loose, get stretched, and then spread her open. You get the idea. 86F 30% RH with the lower side of optimal on ppfd, with a smudgering of infra-red to initiate response of making her stretch more so than normal. Once she sprouts up in height, I drop metrics to 77F 55%RH% while upping the ppfd, giving her a dash of extra 430nm, giving the grow more of a 6000K. Higher side of optimal PPFD, with the auxin hormone balance changed, the side stems are starting to shoot up to the same canopy level as the apex (almost). Normally takes me 2 untrained toppings before a plant will flatten its canopy. I didn't take enough off the apex to do it in one chop, it was only day 10, so there really wasn't much to top from without creating unpredictable results using fim, opted just to keep it to a clean topping. Even predictability over the Chaos of the"Fim". Brainfart: Remember, the veg stage creates the skeleton that will stretch out into flowers. How dense you create the skeleton through light intensity will determine the density of your clusters as they form cola, as long as you can keep up with the demands. Had a bad humidity (spots on leave are wet spots that got handled ASAP) scare last week so got a dehumidifier up in there comfortably. Still smooth sailing.

Super easy week, just watering the ladies when they need it. Still concerned about the humidity so I’m going to start using my dehumidifier outside of the tent. I’ll monitor the humidity each day and set my humidifier on a schedule based upon the data collected. Soon I’ll be adding in another layer of netting to help support the branches and space them out more for better airflow and a more “sea of green” look. I usually vegetate for longer but I wanted to see if I could shorten my grow times and produce about the same results. Time will tell!

Heya Growmies Week 6 flower is over, the smells are really starting to come through now, she's still killing off lower growth displaying symproms of a P deficiency, I even added some more PK 13/14, but her top buds are super healthy and getting thicker daily. who knows, hopefully giving her some more PK will help.

WEEK #12 - FIRST SIGNS OF BLOOM The bushes are doing fine, it seems. Checking the photos of last week, the progress is huge. Slush is almost same size as Skywalker now, 40cm in diaemter and about 25cm tall. Though not as compact /dense. In fact the SMC seems to be a very delicate and "soft"/dropping plant, while the Skywalker is a bit more sturdy. Really need to pull myself together to not remove mass (leaves) during stretch. 1-2 weeks to go, i think. Many leaves and high light intensity = thirsty much (and high humidity, but that shouldnt matter too much in this stage, err?). I think i will burn through all my fertilizer soon enough. But that's best for the plants surely. Installed the ScrOG net, 70x70cm tent kinda limiting already, a few more centimeters woulg be nice for air circulation and general spread of the plants. Hope to branch them out a bit more the folling days. At the moment i'm a bit concerned, also regarding the net, as i have usually sometimes removed the plants for care. Well, have to see if that's a major problem or just annoying in the future. Smell: not stronger than before (yet), very faint and not very distinct ("green"). Light: adjusted to appr. 35cm distance every other day, still 800 PPFD/µmol/m²/s - which could be a bit more in fact. Wish i had a "fast forward" function, can't wait. 👻 - - - Question(s): 2nd Fan under (instead above) canopy, after stretch seems reasonable? At the moment there's not enough space.

so... was of to any awesome start to the week topped them and started low stress training but at the end off all of it.... my torque got caught on the wire and she got more of a topping then planned thats for sure!!! ill just let here go for gold now leave her be.. had bad root rot and the only thing i can get in Australia is root stop unless someone knows something better..... i soaked the two dwc in the root stop substance for 4-8 hours... it seems to have lightened the root colours. i decided to cut the one that had root rot bad and cleaned and prepared it to transplant it to coco...

Im Nachhinein glaube ich, dass ich die Gelato etwas zu früh geerntet habe. 🙈 Der Chop war damals vor allem eine Sicherheitsentscheidung. Das Wetter wurde immer schlechter und einige dicke braune Kelche unter den Seitentrieben sahen für mich verdächtig aus. Ich wollte wegen ein paar zusätzlichen Tagen nicht riskieren, am Ende Teile der Ernte an Schimmel zu verlieren. Beim Trocknen und Trimmen kam dann allerdings die Überraschung: Ich habe überhaupt keinen Schimmel oder andere Fäulnis gefunden. Die verdächtigen angeschwollenen braunen Kelche waren teilweise schlicht mit Samen gefüllt. 😅 Möglicherweise habe ich dadurch den Reifegrad etwas überschätzt. Die sehr kurze Wirkung beim jetzigen Smoke Test würde zumindest dazu passen. Trotzdem bereue ich die Entscheidung unter den damaligen Bedingungen nicht wirklich. Lieber eine etwas zu früh geerntete Gelato als eine verschimmelte Gelato. 🤷🏻‍♂️😅 Geschmacklich ist sie außerdem wirklich lecker geworden und der Rauch ist erstaunlich mild. Damit endet das Abenteuer dieser kleinen Gelato aus dem Hobbit Hole etwas anders als erwartet: kein Schimmelmonster – dafür ein paar Seeds und ein ziemlich kurzlebiges Lagerfeuer-High.

4x4 Gorilla, HLG 550 V2 60% @ 32" 2 Jack Herer from seed, germinated 1-12-2018. Promix-HP Day 34. Flipping light cycle to 12/12. Had a little nutrient burn on both ladies and did a full flush with water @ PH 5.6. and two days later are looking much better. The GDP is still residing in the tent, just moved out of the way for photos. Next (light) feeding is scheduled for tomorrow evening.

week 2 : Auto Colorado Cookies in Vertafort So i just fixed my fan on day 6, vpd has been creeping upward the last two days and especially today towards 1.1 , got slightly better air circulation so hopefully the pot will dry quicker from now on. Will probably water 3 pints of water with aloe and cal mag each around 120 ppm, top her up with light mix soil (potting soil aka peat moss) , she's getting night time sprays of amino acids now to balance out the soil pH towards 6.5 , sprayed once with kelp and cal mag ph-ed with GHE dry pH down at 0.1 grams to get it to 6.0 but rain is 5.5 so i pray i'm okay, might do even less ph down next time. completely low maintenance yet she might be the first of the wet bunch to get topped off and watered once dry 🚀
