The girls are loving their new home and enjoying the heatwave we are experiencing here in Ontario. There was a big rainfall yesterday to break the heat so that was nice treat. I did spray them with a neem oil soapy mixture as I found a few bugs on the underleaves. Could have been aphids but I'm not 100% sure. Also found a few leaves that were munched on by Japanese Beatles. I've gotten rid of 2 of those Beatles already but seems to be the time of the season as they are all over my veggie garden too. I'll probably move them closer to my garden beds next to some companion plants. Maybe it'll help with the bugs.

Tangerine Dream Auto - Barney‘s Farm Mein erster Indoor Keller-Grow neigt sich dem Ende zu. Es ist bunt geworden im Zelt. Die erste Blüte habe ich bereits vaporisiert und bin ziemlich begeistert vom Geschmack und der Wirkung. Leider habe ich aufgrund persönlicher Umstände nicht im Ansatz geschafft hier ein paar Tagebücher zu führen. Es war für mich ein extrem stressiger Winter und ich bin froh, dass ich wenigstens regelmäßig ein paar Fotos machen konnte. Der Anbauraum hatte zwischen den Pflanzen gemessen eine Minimaltemperatur von 17,4 Grad und während der Vegetationszeit konnte ich die Auto-Damen Tagsüber mit bis zu 28 Grad unter einer Sanlight Evo 4-120 1,5 verwöhnen. 18/6 - Licht/aus. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit war in der Veggiephase bei ca. 65-75 Prozent im Zelt und in der Blütephase konnte ich sie Stück für Stück absenken auf 55-43 zum Ende hin. Gedüngt habe ich ein einziges Mal mit 1:20 sauberem Urin am Ende der dritten Woche. Ansonsten gieße ich auf das Terra Preta ähnliche Substrat ausschließlich mit hartem Leitungswasser mit Ph 7,6. Das Substrat wurde kurz nach der Sämlingsphase mit einer dicken Schicht Laub, Braun- und Grünschnitt Mulch abgedeckt, welchen ich zuvor dreißig Minuten bei 150 Grad im Ofen gedämpft habe (Sterilisation). Es kamen Nematoden, Raubmilben und Gelbtafeln zum Einsatz, weil wir mit einer ziemlich unangenehmen Trauermückenplage zu kämpfen hatten. Anfang der Blütephase kam es zu einer Nährstoffblokade aufgrund von Überwässerung. Das Substrat hält die Feuchtigkeit sehr lange und die Mulchschicht verhinderte ein Austrocknen des Substrats. Wir haben anfangs deutlich Zuviel gegossen und das Substrat nicht etwas austrocknen lassen. Nach Anpassung des Gießintervalls auf alle drei Tage mit ca. 2-2,5 Liter, löste sich das Problem nicht in Luft auf, aber wir konnten es aufhalten. Meine Pflanzen sind bereits geerntet und hängen zum Trocknen. Viel Spaß mit den farbenfrohen Bildern. Happy Growing! 💚

This is going to be an exciting week. This blueberry is looking quite beefy and really excited to see how it progresses through flower. Grapefruit is looking nice, pretty stocky and super bushy. She just wants to keep shooting leaves. You would have no idea there’s a pile of grapefruit leaves plucked off of it.

I was on vacation for 9 days, unfortunately I discovered some budrot on the S.A.D. despite the dehumidifier and air conditioning. It is probably also due to the fact that the flowers are extremely compact and hard. It is of course on the side facing away from the fan. It shows once again how important good air circulation is. Apart from that, it has not been fertilized for a week and has only been watered with tap water. The plants have not had any water for 5 days and are on the verge of drying out. The harvest will take place in the next few days. I will report further.

Easy harvest not a terrible amount of leaves. Drying can be difficult at times depending on weather conditions due to the density of the buds, watch close. Dry went well

The plants structure has become more sturdy and have seen development of more side branches developing I have topped both side branches at the 2nd node as didn’t want to top main bud site and have been doing light defoliation of the bigger fan leaves hoping to see more development as week 4 progresses

Days 120 - 126 (from sprout) 9/20/24 - 9/26/24 The Good Shit - week 13 of flower and trichome heads are looking far more swollen For IPM I sprayed existing mulch layer with tweetmint, followed up with topping all pots off with build a soil 3.0 and forest collected IMO's - fungus gnats almost completely eliminated overnight Pots were cover cropped with build a soil seed blend + grape tomatoes, oregano + thyme, snap peas and napoli carrots Fingers crossed harvest is on the agenda for this lady next week

This week I switched from feeding them the General Hydroponics MaxiBloom to KoolBloom. I kept the same pattern with feeding. I feed them the nutrients then just pH'd plain H20 the following day. I pH at 5.8-5.9. I also defoliate as I go so the plant doesn't get stressed out and stop focusing on flowering. These ladies are definitely starting to stink and get sticky!

So this week has been interesting for the gorilla and blueberry. They are packing on some weight especially the gorilla the buds are getting super fat. The zkittlez has been a lost cause for a while now. I decided to cut this down once I started to notice some amber trichs. I'll update and put in a harvest once this is dried and trimmed in about 7 days. There wont be much there. Will mainly make hash from this and edibles. My screens are on the way to make some nice sift. I genuinely think I'll be lucky to pull 3.5gs of dried smokable bud. I am now flushing with plain water both of the remaining plants and I am hoping the gorilla can hold off for another 2 weeks so I can cut these both down at the same time and utilize my tent for drying. These should more than make up for the disappointment of the zkittlez. I had 3 oz in my head as a good yield from this first grow and I'm confident I could make 4 by the looks of these plants. There is some nice fading appearing on the blueberry leaves as you can hopefully tell but they defo need to fatten up. Trichs are half cloudy on both plants maybe slightly further on the gorilla.

So she got the chop 2 weeks prior to what I wanted, but I did not lollipop enough doing this Scrog and suffered high humidity, lack of airflow and as a result lost 4 tops... Out of 16 big ones. But I have harvest, wet trimmed and left to hang dry in a room on clothes drier. Room circulation fan on low, and temp is 22c with 51% humidity. Aiming for a 10day dry it maybe sooner. Hello. Got the plants into the main grow room. There is 2 videos . In the first I just sit in the room quitly and turn the camera. you get a sense :) of what it's like in there. In the second I try to describe what's in the room, equipment and maybe a new technique. With the tomato cages I use, and needing the plant to slow down, I twist the stock into a large figure 8. Eventually I take off what is on the lower part of the 8, and just work the top of the 8. About 2 weeks in veg in this room. Then I take clones of everything before I switch to flower. >Carbon dioxide enhancement: I had to make that choice 20 years ago. I could, rent a tank and have my name on a list, at the gas store. Or make my own. They didn't have the small propane tanks like they do today for the blue flame you get when you burn it. I decided on a kerosene lamp burning down as low as it could be without going out. It makes a half blue and half yellow flame. I vent constantly so the small amount of carbon monoxide is not a problem. For the first week you can smell it a bit, but the smell disappears after that. I light the lamp in the morning and put it out at lights out (unless it's bed time). It needs to be put in a place in the room that cant get knocked over (pets, children, ?). I try to use extra attention whenever I use it. It can burn down the place. Be careful Please. >About 17 years ago I thought I'd lower my table by knocking a hole in the cement and dropping my 10 gallon reservoir more. I was able to lower it by 16 inches. Still have to watch the height of some plants though, it worked out well. Watch the video. > Air cleaner: The reason I got a big 8 inch exhaust fan was, I had a bout of powder mildew and needed better a exhaust system. When I plugged it in there was too much air moving. I phoned and asked and the salesman said that a dimmer switch wasn't a good idea. I put one on anyway. Works great. I have the fan barely on in the winter and about half way on in the middle of the summer. I haven't had any powdery mildew since. About 12 years ago I bought a good air cleaner. An ORECK, It has electrified plates that zap any organic particle or spore that come between the plates. Use to grow a Northern Lights that got 6 to 8 ounces per harvest, it grew big buds. Buds as big as my forearm. I had problems with gray mold attaching the buds. But none since I bought the air cleaner. Ya learn as you go.

My first experience growing indoors and I don’t think it could have turned out any better. I appreciate all the comment, advice, and support from the community !
