They all stayed rather small but overall I'm still happy as the smell is getting stronger and stronger: very sweet and fruity. Minty Black doesn't smell that strong yet. Hello Diary. The last week was over and we came to the end of the journey. Ten weeks in total, three weeks of vegetation and seven weeks of flowering, and a total of 77 days since Mimosa # 1 sprouted, while Mimosa # 2 sprouted a few days later but their harvest was the same day. Last week there were no surprises, I watered the plants regularly and observed the development of trichomes. Mimosa # 1 - beautiful structure of the stem, I had to connect the branches to the stem and the stick that I put later, so that the branches would not crack and the plant would be more beautiful for the last photo shoot. The flowers are smaller and more airy, they did not fill as I expected, but they are full of trichomes, sticky under the fingers and have a strong scent. I will see what the flowers will look like after drying. Mimosa # 2 - looks a lot better. Although she stretched a lot, the flowers filled much better than her sister Mimosa # 1. With the look of the flowers, I wouldn’t say it’s the same strain. I had to stabilize it with tying, the whole plant swayed heavily given the weight of the flowers at the top of the stalk. Both plants have been closer to light than Migro recommends in the last few weeks, but as far as I can see, nothing has hurt them. As I expect to harvest, this week I followed the development of trichomes on the flowers, most of them milky and when I noticed the appearance of browns, I prepared everything and had a harvest. So I harvested all three plants in the grow box the same day. The condition in the grow box is satisfactory, the temperature is around 29 degrees and the humidity is slightly lower than 50%, and one fan blows all the time, mixing the air in the box. I can't say yet exactly if I am satisfied, we will see after drying what we managed to achieve. As for the yield, I don’t believe it will be spectacular, especially with Mimosa # 1, but I won’t predict anything in advance. After I cut the plants at the bottom of the stalk, I hung them in a grow-box upside down to dry. Since I dry whole plants in one piece with the flowers, they will probably take longer to dry completely. The ventilation will stay on to make the airflow better. Here’s what the last week looked like. 19/07/2021 - Day 65. Watering. I adjusted the p.H to 6.3 and with 8 liters of water I watered all three plants evenly. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 30 degrees and 51% humidity. 21/07/2021 - Day 67. Watering. p.H 6.4. Same procedure as two days earlier. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 28 degrees and 41% humidity. 23/07/2021 - Day 69. Last watering. p.H I dropped to 6.4. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 29 degrees and 48% humidity. 25/07/2021 - Day 71. Photography and Harvest. After taking photos and video, I cut off the plant at the bottom of the stalk and hung it in a grow-box to dry in the dark. Whenever I write a report from the last week, some nostalgia overwhelms me after the harvest. I hang out with them every day, I take care of them, I send them positive energy and I hope they will reward me richly for it. We'll see what the reward will be here. April 24 Still nothing interesting, soon more detailed informations.

The plants are growing into a real forest and are exuding a pleasant, pungent bouquet. All strains are tacky to the touch and leave sticky residue on the fingers whenever handled. Finished feeding 13/14, happy with the product--flower starting to swell.

My Skunk Apple Run plant is still a bit young, but I can see those buds starting to form. It's a bit of a slow starter, with buds popping up all over the place instead of a nice even line. We'll see if adjusting the light cycle or its food might help it along. I'll keep you posted on any changes. The past few weeks have been so beautiful, watching the plants grow and change. It's amazing how something so small and fragile can turn into something so strong and vibrant. Now that they're getting ready to bloom, it feels a little bittersweet. I'm so excited to see the finished product, but I'll definitely miss having them around while they're growing.

9/16/23 - Day 106 - Today was the last day of nutes. Tomorrow I start my 6 day flush with just PH 6.1 water. This is the last step before the chop! I'll throw some pictures up tomorrow of the last water exchange. I'll take some videos of the process as well. 9/17/23 - Day 107 - I added a video uptop to show how a manual water change is completed. There are two options when you start your grow to either use a water hook up or add and remove water manually. I got the unit so quickly that I didn't have my water hook up ready. For the next grow it will be ready for automatic everything. Over the next 6 days I'm going to let her drink up as much water as she can then on the 23rd I will harvest and then hang them in the box to dry. 9/22/23 - Day 112 - I've been on vacation for the past week. I turned 40 on the 18th and I took the family to Disneyland. I've had someone managing the box for me in my absence. The box is so easy to use the person who is house sitting was able to keep the operation going. That's a great sign that anyone can do this. Tomorrow is the chop! I'm super excited! So far this week she has been taking in 2x the amount of water than normal. She's dying and she knows it! She still looks just as green, no welting. Looking good. Check out the photo up top. I just got home after a CRAZY long drive home. The plant still looks the same as far as color. I was expecting her to welt, and to have yellow leaves. But she looks like shes still doing good. This is nuts. Shes not really showing any signs of dying even though shes been in .7 ppm for over a week! I may let it go another day or two? Im not really sure, I'm in super unchartered territory, you're all going to learn this along with me. Ill post updates.

Happy New Year!!! Over the past week I did some HST bending on my photos and cut down 2 of the 3 Blackberry’s. The branches are starting to recover and straighten out after the HST now. I still have some issues with pale leaves and a few spots here and there. I’m going to try adding some Dolomite Lime with the next watering and think that should help with the paleness. I’m also going to up the amount of CalMag and Mammoth P to see if that helps with the spotting. I’m not sure if I should see the spotted leaves recover or if the spots will remain. I suspect the spots will remain on the existing leaves regardless of what I do at this point, but hopefully no new spotting will develop. The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction. Also all close up pics of the Critical+ are with the lights off and flash on. I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis). I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO… “Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.” -Read Spear I’ll add more did bits like this in my diaries over the upcoming weeks. If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible. SUMMARY: Due to time constraints I decided in the end to make this the last week. I checked the trichs on both plants and the Amnesia now has plenty of amber heads and the OG now also has some albeit much less. Though all trichs are at least milky with the exception of the rare clear head or 2. I did a quick flush watering with rain water only on Monday, Tues, and Thursday then left to dry until Saturday when I chopped them down. DAY 92 -------- Thursday 03/12/2020 I fed the plants. GWE 04/2020 updated schedule Week 9 Late Bloom nutes for the OG and then the Sensi Garden Peak nutes for the Amnesia. OG (in) = 5.5L pH 6.5 OG (out) = 0.6L (11%) pH 5.6 [0.9 drop] Amnesia (in) = 3.5L pH 6.4 Amnesia (out) = 1.6L (46%) pH 5.8 [0.6 drop] If my eyes don't deceive me it would appear that the Amnesia is finally starting to pack on some weight! Hopefully both will have a decent yield in 2 weeks time. The RH has been at 45-48% for the last week and the temps are consistent at 24°C and so we're right on track. DAY 94 -------- Saturday 05/12/2020 I fed the plants though gave the amnesia less volume as it doesn't need it. GWE 04/2020 updated schedule Week 9 Late Bloom nutes for the OG and then the Sensi Garden Peak nutes for the Amnesia. OG (in) = 5.5L pH 6.4 OG (out) = 0.4L (8%) pH 5.3 [1.1 drop] Amnesia (in) = 3L pH 6.2 Amnesia (out) = 1L (33%) pH 5.6 [0.6 drop] The OG is drinking more and more and both plants are definitely starting to pack on some weight now and I'm very excited. DAY 95 ------ Sunday 06/12/2020 I checked the trichs on both plants and its a good job I did as the Amnesia has plenty of amber heads (possibly upwards of 30% its very hard to confirm tbh as the usb microscope is handheld and so VERY sensitive to movement - it took me best part of 30mins to get enough clear shots for me to decide the Amnesia is done). I took shots of both trichs using my usb microscope but as its cheap and the app is freeware it is awful and so just clumps all your pics together and not in any particular order, or at least not in the order they were taken and so after spending 30mins+ taking pics I don't know which are from which plant! But both have amber trich heads showing though the OG doesn't have as many as the Amnesia as expected. I wasn't going to do a flush after doing some research and seeing that its a controversial topic over whether there is any benefit and my rationale being that I'd rather the buds be as big as possible and so it made sense to feed up until chop. However I changed my mind after not being able to find a reputable source that claims flushing is not beneficial plus the general consensus is that you absolutely must flush if using synthetic nutes which I am. I will flush from now until Friday and then chop on Saturday or Sunday. DAY 96 -------- Monday 07/12/2020 I watered with rainwater (pH between 6.2-6.4) giving the OG 6L and the Amnesia 5L to ensure plenty of runoff. DAY 97 -------- Tuesday 08/12/2020 I watered with rainwater (pH between 6.2-6.4) giving the OG 6L and the Amnesia 5L to ensure plenty of runoff. DAY 99 -------- Thursday 10/12/2020 This should technically be week 15 as of today but as I'm chopping on Saturday its just not worth creating another flowering week in this diary. I watered both plants for the last time today, both with rainwater (pH between 6.2-6.4) giving the OG 6L and the Amnesia 5L to ensure plenty of runoff. I will now let the plants dry out until harvest which will be on Saturday 12th. I have also knocked the lights off to leave them in darkness now until chop which gives them roughly 40 hours of darkness as advised by many. Apparently the darkness can somehow increase the potency though it seems this is another controversial topic and one I haven't done enough research on and so have decided to do so as all the tutorials/guides/diaries I've read do 12-72 hours of darkness before chop. If I don't chop this weekend then I'll be pushing it if I want another harvest before I go away next year. If this wasn't the case I would let these run until the Amnesia was about 50% or more amber to give the OG time to catch up as the OG genetics are much superior to the Amnesia.
