🌸 Flower Power Activated! Entering Week 6 / Flower Week 1 🚀 (Nutrient Update!) What's good, fam! Big news today: We are officially kicking off Week 6 overall and it seems it’s Week 1 of Flowering also! 🎉 The girls finally showed their cards and the first white pre-flowers have officially popped up, giving us the green light to enter the flower phase. I’m stoked to see how fast they stretch now that the flip has happened. They are filling out the net perfectly, and the canopy is looking dense and leveled thanks to the training we did weeks before. However, I clearly messed up my original living soil mix! 🤦‍♂️ I'm seeing signs of a nutrient issue—specifically, some apparent macronutrient excess on the new growth/leaves. To combat this, I added a Floragard Herbi's Living Soil Booster 2+8+4 today to help balance things out. Hopefully, that does the trick! Fingers crossed for a healthy stretch and massive buds! Thanks for all the Help and experience you growers share with us 🤝 It is a big help for me!! Never thought growing your own medicine will be that hard cause you never know how the plant will act. Very happy with the Sour gorilla. Buds are rock hard and smell sweet and a little gassy. The flavour when smoking has more sour and gives you the lip smacks.

Big week! I got my new EarthBoxes and a bunch of goodies. I picked up the Probiotic Farmer's Alliance kit from BuildASoil, so I also got some EM-1, Kashi Blend, dolomite lime and Malibu compost. Alongside that I picked up Colorado Worm Compost (vermicompost), Gnarley Barley (malted barley, corn and hemp) and Craft Blend (aprox 3-5-2 organic mix). Unfortunately there was a bag of soil missing, so I ended up using my own mix though I am somewhat scared of it being too clay-heavy for the SIP. I inoculated with EM-1 and began fermenting a batch of activated EM-1 to make the bottle last longer. It looks about a week from LST, after that I hope to set up a two-tier SCROG setup and begin growing the bushes. I will begin spraying AEM-1/EM-FPE/EM-5 alternatively once a week for IPM, I will try to avoid using neem this round (unless I find this approach lacking). I also brewed a batch of EM-FPE with aloe that smells incredible, I can't wait to give it a go.

7/6 Plants looked great thos morning. I WATERED A GALLON to the 50 and split one between the two tens. Top of the bags are still moist amd they still have some heft. I'm hoping this will at least carry me 48hrs. These are BIG plants and the wind goes right through those bags and dries them out. I'd rather have that though than worry about overwatering. I noticed some minor deficiencies on a couple plants so it's time to start the nutes. Calcium I'd guess. Just a beginning stage but it's time. Next feeding they'll get some food too. I'll still monitor during the day to make sure they ront dry out. It's amazing how fast they come back after they dry out but it stresses them. EDIT: I WENT OVER AROUND 2OM AND IT WAS OVERCAST AND 83°. ALL THE PLANTS LOOKED GREAT AND ALL OF THEM WERE STILL SLIGHTLY NOIST EXCEPT THE 10TH PLANET. THEY ALL HAD SOME HEFT TO THEM TOO. THE SUN IS OUT BRIGHTER NOW BUT IT MAY RAIN TONIGHT AND CONSIDERING HOW GOOD THE PLANTS LOOKED I THINK IVE FOUND MY CORRECT WATERING RATIO. IM NOT GOIMG TO 9VET WATER IN THESE GROW BAGS WITH ALL THIS WIND. I NOTICED SOME FOUR LINED PLANT BUG MARKS ON ONE OF THE LITTLE PLANTS AND REMOVED A FEW LEAVES FROM THAT THIRSTY 10TH PLANET THAT COULD BE SEPTORIA. IM GOING TO TREAT IT BUT I HAVENT DECIDED WITH WHAT YET. I MEAN I NEED TO MAKE SURE ITS NOT JUST PESTS OR WATER SPLASHES FIRST TOO. I'VE BEEN PRETTY SANITARY THIS YEAR. IF I HAD A PLANT THAT DIDNT RESPOND TO TREATMENT AND IT WAS INDEED LEAF SEPTORIA I THINK ID RATHER SACRIFICE THE PLANT THAN RISK SPREADING IT. IM PROBABLY JUMPING THE GUN BUT I NEED TO BE READY IN CASE THAT'S THE CASE. IF NOT FOR LOCAL LAWS I WOULD THE PLANT ISOLATED. BUT IM TALKING I PULLED MAYBE FOUR LEAVES OUT OF THE LEAFIEST BUNCH AND INSPECTED EVERYTHING. 7/7 We got thunder storms last in the afternoon and last night. For at least 45 mins it rained harder than I've EVER seen it. Pure sheet rain. It turned over to heavy rain before moving out. The plan was to water everything this morning and start feeding. As I said in the video the soul was still moist amd the bags still had some heft. Not like I just watered them though. I stopped by a local dispo on my way home and talked with the best grower I personally know (thanks Junior) and his advice was the same as what I was planning. I planned on going around noon to check them. He said I could probably wait until like six and then when I do water give them like a 1 1/2 gallons to make up for that monsoon we had earlier. I showed him the video and explained how I have been watering. My intuition feels good about this. I may go check on them earlier but I don't think it's necessary. As usual I'll update as I go. EDIT: AS SUGGESTED (WELL I SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE) I WENT OVER TO FIND ALL NY PLANTS LOOKING GORGEOUS EXCEPT THE 10TH PLANET REVEG THAT WAS A "LITTLE" SAGGY. I LIFTED THEM AND FELT THE SOIL IN THE BAGS. I DECIDED ON WATERING AS PLANNED EVEN THOUGH IT MIGHT HAVE MADE IT UNTIL NORNING. THIS WAS MY WATERING DAY ANYWAY. HOWEVER I ONLY WATERED 1 GAL PER 20 1.5 FOR 30 AND .5 FOR 10. I THINK THAT WILL WORK OUT GREAT WITH THE UPCOMING COOLER TEMPS. IT WAS SO HOT. DIDNT HAVE TIME BUT SHIT IS LOOKING GOOD.

Hi people :-) This week everyone has developed very nicely and is slowly coming to an end 🤗🌱🍀. The Orange Sherbert was placed in the darkroom yesterday and will be harvested tomorrow :-). Everyone else will continue to be flushed. Blue Gelato # 41, Her Majesty F1 and Sour Diesel will be harvested next week. The next week is the gelato letzt. Then I will gradually add all the harvest pictures 😍👍 I wish you all a good start into the week, let it grow 🌱🍀 and stay healthy 🙏🏻

She was great! Besides getting nice nugs to smoke, I made canna coconut oil, then I made chocolates, then I made brownies, then I made brownies with large chocolate chunks. The munchies have been great to say the least 🍫. I try to make something each harvest, having some smoke is good enough, but being dedicated to the cause & community I feel obligated to do everything in my power to explore all these girls have to offer. I could not afford to explore if I didn’t grow so it’s a no-brainer

So far my confidence in this next go around is very high! 😃☀️ Putting the seeds straight into a jiffy pellet is the way I am going to proceed with germination going forward. You are just adding extra variables to what should be a simple equation (seed in sterile medium + warmth + moisture = seedling) unlike with the paper towel method, where you need to transfer them to the medium. But this is just one opinion of a rookie grower.

Day 28: Das Wetter und die liebe Luftfeuchtigkeit :(( Manchmal denk ich das ich Outdoor growe :)) Im Video sieht man schön wie der kleine Zwerk sich selber mit seinen riesen Blättern SCROG mäßig den Wuchs in die Breite erzwingt :)) Die Blütentriebe müssen halt den Weg zum Licht mit aller Anstrengung erreichen .

*Pre-flowers have micro trichomes upon formation, LOL. Based on my early observation, I predict that these will be frosty frosty on the trichomes. Added 20lbs of black lava rock as mulch, raising soil temp around 1 and a half degrees to 72.8F. Some nice little bud formations are creeping up already. Nice little foliar spray of some aminos to the underside of the leaf. Hard to guage or know how much the aminos help, but after reading how energy intensive it is for the plant to make them from scratch its something I feel I need to do as a habit. An EC (Electrical Conductivity) meter, one that's made for the soil, it's so useful, as it indirectly indicates soil moisture as well as salt mineral nutrient levels. Just pop your metre stick in the soil and if ec is low, then it's time to water. Once there is water to assist in the conduction of electricity, the EC" will kick back up. 0.3-1.8, if it stays low, then you know it's time to add more mineral salt ferts! While Electrical Conductivity primarily indicates the overall salt content in soil, pH provides information about the relative proportion of cations (positively charged ions) in the soil's salt capacity. High EC signifies a higher salt concentration, while pH reflects the balance of cations like calcium, magnesium, potassium, ammoniacal nitrogen, sodium, and hydrogen. Smaller leaves have less surface area for stomata to occupy, so the stomata are packed more densely to maintain adequate gas exchange. Smaller leaves might have higher stomatal density to compensate for their smaller size, potentially maximizing carbon uptake and minimizing water loss. Environmental conditions like light intensity and water availability can influence stomatal density, and these factors can affect leaf size as well. Leaf development involves cell division and expansion, and stomatal differentiation is sensitive to these processes. In essence, the smaller leaf size can lead to a higher stomatal density due to the constraints of available space and the need to optimize gas exchange for photosynthesis and transpiration. In the long term, UV-B radiation can lead to more complex changes in stomatal morphology, including effects on both stomatal density and size, potentially impacting carbon sequestration and water use. In essence, UV-B can be a double-edged sword for stomata: It can induce stomatal closure and potentially reduce stomatal size, but it may also trigger an increase in stomatal density as a compensatory mechanism. It is generally more efficient for gas exchange to have smaller leaves with a higher stomatal density, rather than large leaves with lower stomatal density. This is because smaller stomata can facilitate faster gas exchange due to shorter diffusion pathways, even though they may have the same total pore area as fewer, larger stomata Sugars, classified as carbohydrates, are composed of the elements carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and oxygen (O). They are characterized by the general formula (CH2O)n, where 'n' represents the number of carbon atoms. The most basic units of sugars, called monosaccharides, have this ratio of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. For example, glucose and fructose, both monosaccharides, have the formula C6H12O6. The reality of your typical plant. After harvest, with all water remove,d you are left with. (Ballpark) Mother-nutrients: Carbon 47%, Oxygen 43%, Hydrogen 4%. Macro-nutrients: Nitrogen 3%, Phosphorus1%, Potassium1%, Calcium1%, Magnesium0.5%, Sulfur0.5%. Micro-nutrients: All the rest combined 1% Nothing good can happen in a soil that can't breathe. The aerobic zone in soil is crucial. Microorganisms can break down sugars into their constituent atoms, though they don't typically do so completely to the individual elemental level (carbon, hydrogen, oxygen) in one step. Microorganisms utilize sugars through metabolic pathways like glycolysis and fermentation, converting them into simpler molecules like pyruvate and then potentially to other compounds like lactic acid, ethanol, or carbon dioxide, releasing energy in the process. Glycolysis: This is a central pathway where a glucose molecule (a common sugar) is broken down into two molecules of pyruvate. This process generates some ATP (energy) for the cell. Fermentation: If oxygen is limited, some microorganisms can ferment pyruvate, producing various end products like lactic acid (in lactic acid fermentation), ethanol and carbon dioxide (in alcoholic fermentation), or other organic acids. Conversely, low CO2 concentrations lead to an increase in pH, making the solution more alkaline or basic. Beginning of week 13 was harvest time! Checking the trichomes on their main buds led to the decision to harvest them. Almost all of them had already milky looking heads and some of them even turned amber. Their incredibly sour smell was barely tolerable as well. Made the decision to harvest them all at once, so the grow room can be turned into a drying room for them. Since this is considered an experiment after all, we wanted to try out wet trimming as well to compare it to the dry trim we're used to. So considering #3 had the least amount of effort due to the low amount of head buds overall, we choose that one to be wet trimmed. It surely was a very sticky and still time-consuming activity, but we're pretty happy with the result. Can't wait to see and taste them when they're finally ready, dried properly and cured a bit! This is plant #2. She still remained my absolute favorite one of them, having the biggest and most beautiful looking main buds. Would've expected a bigger stretch at the start of flowering though, so her branches were still growing pretty close to each other, which isn't that bad but also wasn't really the desired look overall. Plant #2 is one of the dry trim ones. Just made sure to remove the biggest leaves that could prevent a good airflow between the buds when they're hung up.

Week 3 of flower So we had a power outtage due to a storm that came through. Lost power from 10a-6p which is most of my day cycle. So there is that. The plants looks really well. Noticed a bit of spotting so I added some cal/mag with my last watering. Buds are hella frosty you can definitely see the Banana Butter cups coming through. 📆 Week 6, 26 May - 1 June 2024 26-31 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 1 Jun - Did a light defoliation of plant (see picture) to allow light to reach all bud sites. 📑 This is her first week of true flower and she is still stretching some. Her size has doubled and as is now into more intense lighting, the canopy coverage reads at 40 DLI. It looks like the light power will need to only stay at 50% in this small tent. The new light is proving itself well so far, more light without added heat, no complaints - except for the dimmer switch. A true consumer marketing mistake by ViparSpectra. 🍶 28 May nutrient solution changed 🍽️ 28 May feeding schedule updated 💧 Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 🐉 Nutrient solution EC 2.6 at 70 degrees F 🔆 Light power at 50%, DLI 40 canopy coverage at 18hrs 😤 Using PYPABL, Air Pump, 400GPH That is it for this week. Bud sites finally showing progression, lovely smell and continues to look extremely healthy only one that was not transplanted from 3 to 5 gallon. Next week will already be their next top dress.

Mainlining is progressing nicely. The main stem was topped at the 3rd node, and each main branch was topped again at the 3rd node to build a clean and symmetrical manifold. I always wait until the branches have 5 nodes before topping, to make sure the plant is strong enough to handle the stress. This week I performed a selective defoliation and some light LST, only to guide the branches and keep everything level. I’m still deciding between 8 or 12 main colas, depending on how the plant continues to respond. In the video you can clearly see the before and after of defoliation and training 🌱💪
