Purple intensifies on the top of the plant. What’s interesting is that even lower buds are quite fat and frosty, however the top did not got fattier as much in past week. Looking at the trichomes it is not ready with some clean, some milky and rare oranges around. However harvest may come soon. Smell continues tropical fruits with some funk, gelato funk

THE SMELL

Big week! Put the net up and really have been defoliating and training to bush her out! So far she responds amazingly well to the training, growing inches a day curving back towards the light! :) She’s really up taking water now, 2 gallons a feed with barely any runoff now, and she’s nearly dry by the end of day 2, so she’s thirsty! Very excited to even the canopy out and switch the lights :) a couple weeks left! I took 10 cuttings this week as well to try my hand at cloning, so far they are doing alright, at the time of posting they are 5 days cut. Strain is supposed to be ~65 day flower, so half done!

Start of week 6 flower | little bit of burn because light is so close | But just some very top leafs | started to purple up in some parts | smell is very permanent marker

I make topping and this is the day after topping so they look growing nice. The next 2 days I will change them to bigger pot I already prepared so let’s gooooooo Growing guyssss

Hey! Welcome to week 9 for Karen! Week 8 is now complete so please go and check it out 🙏. Big week last week... massive. Day 57: Fertigated 6l. Height 40cm. Day 58: Scent has stepped up again and I'm noticing some of bud sites starting to develop frost. Day 58.5 Flushed with 20l of PH & CalMag. Day 59: reorganised tent Day 60: Fertigated 3l. Karen has put on a load of frost in the last 24h. I mean seriously. Smell stepped up again. Height 44cm. Day 60.5: I have had a really good look at other KKA grows. I think Karen is going to need a few extra weeks. I think she will be ready for harvest in about week 14. So I think we have about another 4-5 weeks to go. Day 61: Adjusted the LST a bit. She's frosting rapidly now. 😍😍🤩 Height 45cm. Width: 60cm x 70cm Day 61.5: It is only 8 days since I *heavily* defoliated and I think I probably should do it again already. Things are progressing well at the moment though so I am trying to resist doing it too soon. She is still stretching. Day 61.75: Right, I have done some research and I have made a decision,. I'm going to give Karen 2 full weeks from the last defoliation on day 53, so on day 67 (i.e half way through next week) I will defoliate and perform final LST just to space out the colas a bite more at the "top" of the plant. Incidentally, Nesia is now easily the same spread as Karen.. Nesia is going to be much bigger than Karen. Gorilla cookies was doing really good until last 24 hours. Looks like a little phosphorus deficiency on leaves. I flushed her out and refreshed nutrition. Ph is good and everything is set. We are slowly getting closer to the harvest 😍. You can see that the lady sucks all her energy out of the leaves and passes it on to the flowers. The buds smell very tasty 😍. It should be ready to harvest in the next 17 - 25 days. But of course we will be observing this closely with the microscope from next week. Day 33: All 3 seeds i popped were female. Moved my favorite to the 30gal under the ROI-420E light in the 3x3 section. I gave 1 of the girls away and potted up the other to a 5L . Mykos Mycorrhizal used while transplanting on the roots. Fed with craft blend and some black frass then watered. The one i put in the 30gal seems to have stalled a bit. better color than before but the 5L one sprung up like crazy. Some LST just to strengthen the stems a bit day after transplant. Light kept at 50% but just bumped to 75% at about 20". Inline fan is kept off during veg for now but i have 2 fans blowing around. Edit: On 3/27/22 i determined what i thought was shock was actually underwatering. I dug down about a foot to feel the soil. The soil would clump together under some pressure but not as much as a well hydrated soil should when squeezed. I added 1.3Gal of tap water and today 3/28/22 the leaves perked up. texture and color are a bit off i'd say but i'll check back in another day or so.

Week 10 - not long now.. She looks good, just a little concerned with the fan leaves but from what I've read this is normal and nothing to worry about at this stage. Hope that is true. 🤔 I've kept the nutrients lower this week as I am worried about over feeding. The soil I mixed with alot of Manure from goats, ducks and chicken so I dont think I need to add anything else. First time growing... better to be safe than sorry. I got to the bottom of last weeks droopy leaves - Underwatering! I had been keeping her out of the rain and had forgot to feed water. Lesson learnt. I noticed the roots get compact on top in a fabric pot if you dont slowly water in, the water runs off the pot and not through it. Fixed this by bottom feeding until the soil was fully wet - I guess bottom feeding is the way to go when this happens. 10-20% of Pistils are brownish now and most of the trichomes are cloudy with a few still clear and the odd one amber. Still trying to get to grips with the x45 loupe. I dont have steady hands 😆 The lower branches that were LST'd are getting really big now so for sure I will be pulling all the branches back next time. Removed potential bud rot and will closely monitor. Hopefully she will be ok for 10 more days 🙏🤞
