I have particular high hopes for seeds 6, 7, 8, 9 which seem bigger/better than the others. 4 is a runt. 1-3 are good sized. Five is pretty plump we will see. 6/23/2022 Start germination About 24 hours after initial drop in water, I placed each seed into a soaked Root Riot cube, and then back into the cup with its label. Placed lid back on tray, covered and back on heater. It's about 74 degrees F. Once they pop, I'll start the veg week, approximately 1-2 days. 6/25/2022 Last Day of germination, ready to pop I'm pretty verbose with my grows, some people may hate that. I like to show what I do for my own process, as well as to share with others. I put Hydroton into the bottom of the AC Infinity 1 gallon pots, like 2 inches. Then mixed Mother Earth Coco + Perlite Mix, Fox Farms Ocean Forest, earthworm castings, Dynamyco. Placed the root riot cubes into the substrate contained by the fabric pots -- misted with diluted Foop Spray, domed. Environment looks good. Seedling stage week starts tomorrow, yay.

Here's the updated feeding plan for this week: CalMag: 2.5 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.50 mS/cm) Grow: 1.5 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 0.5 ml/l EC: 1.2 mS/cm (600 ppm PPM-500/TDS) pH: 6.0 Each plant is watered with approximately 20% runoff to ensure there's no nutrient buildup in the coco mix. I will maintain this nutrient level until the pre-flowering stage to avoid the risk of nutrient burn due to over-fertilization. Weather Improvements and Adjustments The weather has been steadily improving, with temperatures expected to rise to around 25°C starting Wednesday, accompanied by abundant sunshine. This upcoming forecast is excellent news for my plants, as I anticipate a final growth spurt before flowering begins. Every centimeter of growth counts at this stage, and I'm optimistic about maximizing their potential under these favorable conditions. Strengthening with Wind Exposure On days with good weather, I move the plants out of the greenhouse to expose them to natural wind. This practice helps strengthen their stems, improving overall stability. Additionally, the wind creates a more challenging environment for pests, helping to keep them at bay. Smart Watering Strategy I only water the plants when the pots feel noticeably lighter. This encourages the roots to search for water, promoting the development of a stronger and more extensive root system. This method helps ensure the plants remain healthy and resilient. Pest Management: Observations and Actions At the beginning of the third week, I noticed dark discolorations on the undersides of some leaves. A few days later, these spots turned into yellow patches. I am still unsure about the cause of these spots. To prevent a potential insect infestation, I sprayed all the leaf surfaces, both top and bottom, with a mildly dosed neem oil mixture. Since then, the spots have not spread further. Because these discolorations are only affecting the lower leaves, they are not causing me significant concern at the moment. Regular inspections and preventive measures are crucial to maintaining the health of the plants and ensuring that any issues are caught early. Decision Against LST At first I have decided against using LST. But some of your comments made me try some LST on two of my plants. I choose Tangie and Gorilla cookies to try out and learn some stuff. Blue dream and Banana purple punch stay without any training. I figured nothing could go wrong with 50% amber / 50% milky trichomes. Harvest day, Medical Mass: Huge buds and no traumas but got bud rot because of too high temps. The best I've ever smoked. Harvest day, Pineapplex Express: Got an early trauma when transplanting but handled it beautifully. Potent smoke. Pretty satisfied for a first grow, and I have a lot of changes for my 2nd grow!

Ok, so it's slowly getting thicker and frostier. At week seven my girl could be ready in anywhere from two weeks to four weeks more. The light was dropped closer to the top of the canopy. I decided to try 15 cm of distance, as well four 50W LEDs are not as powerful as the 600W HID or LED panels that are usually used in grow tents. I will of course keep an eye for signs of light and heat stress, but I suspect that won't be a problem. Update Day 89. Today I decided to turn the plant around to see the back colas and their growth. Then I found some mites under the leaves after examining weird spots in a couple of leaves. It seems to me that there was not enough airflow to deter the mites from making home in the back leaves, when compared to the front leaves of my plant. Lesson learnt, rotate plant often, ensure good and even airflow. I didn't find any webs beside a really small one seen on the video (most affected leaf). So, I think I found them mites early. I only found this kind of damage on very few leaves, and each leave contained less than 8 mites (at least that I could see) and a couple of eggs. So it seems that paying close attention to my leaves saved me from an out of control infestation. Anyhow... I removed all of the leaves that had even a single mite, or a single mark of discoloration. Also, I disinfected the grow tent, top of soil and lower part of the branches by spraying them with a 1/4 tbsp of bleach per liter of water. After that was completely dry, I mixed one part rubbing alcohol with 9 parts water and misted both sides of the leaves and even the buds directly (ethanol evaporates easily, so there shouldn't be residues left after it dries completely). Prevention is key, and some aspects I could've considered before are: 1. not grow any other plant next to my cannabis 2. Don't come into my indoor growtent after tending my outdoor plants. 3. Ensure even and plenty airflow. So, I attacked back strongly. I cut more leaves than those that showed damage, to increase airflow. I will be on the watch for pests and will rotate my plant often, as well as spraying a few times every week, just to make sure they don't come back. I also am going to build a kind of metal wire cage to separate the colas further and make it harder for any pest to spread. Its only my second grow, but from what I've read online about mites, it's way more costly (time and money) to deal with an infestation than to strike them hard early. I guess that specially now that I noticed them before they even made webs. Look closely at your girls growbros ! Update day 90. So this morning I. Becker the trichomes and they seem to have gotten more cloudy. I am not an expert at that, but they are starting to be fewer clear and more milky. I will keep an eye on them, but it think harvest might be here very soon, probably closer to the 9 week mark than to the 12 week one (I'm about to finish the 7th week)...

week 4 I apologize for the confusion this diary has gotten. week 5 here in reality was the third week of flowering. this beauty is in the middle of flowering, week4, according to RoyalQueenSeeds. Fast flowering 7-8 weeks. I'm starting to get a little more relaxed with this little one. I see progress, it's about time !!! the buds are starting to fatten. I don't expect large quantities but a lot of quality. At this point I can't have a very accurate guess because it's still halfway through but if it's to guess, maybe I can get a yield of 130 grams. 130 smokeable grams !! it's not like most diaries that have the final weight with branches 'n no trimming 😝🤣what do you think? stay tuned and tell me somethin' 😏🤞

3 weeks of flowering behind us, the girls are growing up and two Strawberry Bananas have pulled out, but otherwise it works .. There's still something to catch, I just don't know why the tips and leaves of the young branches are twisting? He poured clear water here and the rest got a normal planned watering.

They are growing really well. Added a humidifier at day 9. I have a seedling in rockwool still it is growing super slow. Root still not sticking out even tho it have been in the cube for 7 days now. Im feeding very light 40% strenght. I see how light green the leafs are and thats what im going for. I will up the strenght abit the following days. I been watering almost everyday. Started the first week with 0.1 liter now upped it to 0.2 liters per plant. I had the HPS light just a bit too close to the plants so i have some very slight curling on a few of the leafs. No problem i just move the light up 5cm. So far im very pleased with the growth rate

At night between 18 to 19°C --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She isn’t doing well, and her condition has worsened this week. Most of her leaves are now yellowing, with some completely dying off. I’m attempting to save her by ordering a special fertilizer designed to increase nitrogen, as well as provide magnesium and other essential minerals. I plan to feed her with it tomorrow. If that doesn’t work, I’ll have to accept that she’s dying. Unfortunately, she has also lost some of her fruity aroma, and the smell is no longer as strong... I’ve seen reports from other growers about the AvT, showing cases of senescence, but it usually occurred only toward the very end. So, we’ll see if this is just a phenotype with an unusually early onset of senescence. She’s definitely harder to grow than I initially expected. Since the weather is getting quite cold for the region - and we’ve already had a bit of snow - the cellar where my grow tent is set up is cooling down, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 18–19°C. Therefore, I’ve ordered some heat mats, which should arrive tomorrow. I’m aiming to stabilize the root temperature at around 22°C consistently, so the nights won’t be too cold anymore. I’ll go into more detail in next week’s update.

After 7 weeks of slow grow under LED (i had to wait for my flowering room to be free), the first week of CMH. I intend to let them get used to the new light for one week before launching flowering.
