🌿 Nectar Drip – Week 5 Report Early Vegetative Development (12/12 from Seed) Zamnesia Seeds x TICAL – Pack #268 Note on timing: This is labeled as Week 5 in GrowDiaries / Grow Iris, even though in real growth rhythm we are closer to Week 3 of true vegetative development. This offset comes from starting the diary early and using photo-heavy germination documentation. We’ll continue to clarify this each week for transparency and consistency. ⸻ 🌱 Growth Overview – Training Reveals Character This week confirmed something important: training doesn’t slow a plant — it reveals it. Last week, we began Low Stress Training (LST) on one selected plant using clamps to gently guide the main stem close to horizontal. At the time, she was the smallest plant of the Nectar Drip group. This week, her response has been nothing short of beautiful. Despite being smaller, she reacted with: • accelerated side branching • clear apical redistribution • strong node activation • healthy, vibrant green growth She is opening up, spreading out, and showing structure — not by force, but by invitation. ⸻ ✂️ Training Focus – Low Stress, High Precision The trained plant is now the focus of this week’s report, because she’s telling us a story worth listening to. What’s being done: • Main stem gently bent and held near-parallel to the soil • Leaves progressively opened and repositioned • Lower growth sites intentionally exposed to light • No snapping, no crushing, no stress points This is classic Low Stress Training (LST) — the goal is not control, but redirection. What we’re seeing: • Lower branches actively pushing upward • Tighter internodal spacing • A wider, flatter structure • Balanced energy distribution She’s currently entering her fourth node, and already the lower growth is responding like it knows it’s been invited to participate. You can clearly see this in the macro photos — the symmetry, the confidence, the way each branch is waking up. ⸻ 📸 Macro Session – When the Plant Earns the Spotlight This week, the trained plant earned her moment. She was taken into the studio for a dedicated macro session — and she deserved it. The photos reveal: • clean, healthy tissue • vibrant green coloration • active growth points • no signs of stress or hesitation Up close, it becomes obvious: this plant isn’t struggling — she’s thinking. ⸻ 🌿 The Other Plants – Natural Expression The remaining Nectar Drip plants are not being trained as intensively. For them: • leaves are gently tucked • some bending is done to guide light penetration • no structural manipulation beyond basic canopy management They are: • taller • more vertical • opening naturally • branching in their own rhythm They look fantastic — healthy, lush, and confident — but their expression is clearly different from the trained plant. Same genetics, same room, same feed… different guidance. This contrast is exactly why this approach is valuable. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment & Room Conditions (Unchanged) Conditions remain consistent with last week: • Relative Humidity: ~65% • Day Temperature: ~26 °C • Night Temperature: ~18 °C • CO₂: ~666 ppm • Lamp Distance: ~1.70 m • Substrate Temperature: ~22 °C • Solution Temperature: ~22 °C Airflow continues to increase slightly, encouraging movement and stem strength without stress. ⸻ 💡 Light – Growing Into Intensity PPFD continues its gradual rise: • Previously: ~500 PPFD • Current range: 500 → 600 PPFD, depending on plant height Once again, the plants are growing toward the light, not being forced into it. This progressive increase matches structure and development perfectly. ⸻ Nutrition – Stay the Course Nutrition remains unchanged, because the plants are clearly happy. • Terra Grow • Power Roots • Pure Zym • Sugar Royal • Vita Race (foliar) Leaf color, posture, and response all confirm that stability is working. This is a deliberate mix of mineral precision and biological support, based on experience and personal philosophy. As always: everything shared here reflects my own experience, opinions, lessons, and mistakes, offered openly to the community. ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect / What Not to Expect Expect: • continued lateral development on the trained plant • more defined structure • increased canopy complexity • visible divergence between trained vs untrained plants Do Not Expect: • instant size catch-up • explosive vertical growth • stress reactions The trained plant may not become the tallest — but she may become the most interesting. ⸻ 🤝 Gratitude Much love and respect to: • Zamnesia Seeds • TICAL (artist and collaborator) • Plagron • Future of Grow And thank you to everyone following this journey — supporters, critics, silent readers, and longtime friends. ⸻ 🌟 Week 5 Summary • Training is working • Genetics are solid • Differences are emerging • Structure is forming • The story is getting richer She was the smallest. She’s responding the strongest. And she’s just getting started. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. It has been a week of snap snap snap! let's call it accidental toppings - yes - multiple. The OG Kush seems to be quite fragile compared to other strains I've grown. Continued LST has resulted in me snapping off the end of the main stem and another major branch. Both days within switching the light regime. Now I have to fill up the net using lateral branches. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period (32hrs) prior to switching light regime at the beginning of the week - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Light green spots and other spots noted on big fan leaves, possibly a calcium or other deficiency. Spots are lighter shade, irregular though some are circular. End up turning bronze colour dust. No pests have been spotted during extensive inspections. The problem remains to older leaves only and doesn't seem to be affecting any new growth. I also think I may have some Nitrogen toxicity due to my CalMag solution having a NPK ratio of 6-0-0. Getting some low N solution this week so hopefully that will address any impact on the flowering stage. The plant still seems to be strong, forming strong branches and massive fan leaves. Growth is being tucked under the net to fill it up. Pruned a few stems and leaves from below the canopy which may never see the light of day. Run-off EC still remains below target. Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. Fertigation is maintained now to once a day (at lights on) to maintain the target EC. Light period is during the night time to better maintain heat/humidity conditions during light off period (which happens during daytime). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The grow setup includes ; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 (gives me great control over the environment) - ventilation fans - aquarium heater for nutrients solution (for winter use only) - small oil heater (for winter use only) - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots (as final pots) and 3.5L general plastic pots (for seedling stage) - Canna Coco substrate mixed with 40% perlite - GHE Flora Trio as base nutrients and various additives - pH and EC/TDS meters - 2x Govee Thermo/Hygro meters (one at canopy, the other at the roots level - these allow for external monitoring and recording) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some strain info from Royal Queen Seeds ; An amazing mix of genetics background - Its true genetics are unknown. Some say OG Kush is a mix of ChemDawg with a Lemon Thai and Pakistani Kush. Others say that it’s just a special cutting of ChemDawg from the early 90s. The most obvious trait of OG Kush is its strong, unique, very dank, slightly citrus aroma, almost like fuel or strong detergent. The flavour of OG Kush is equally as strong and dank, with a long-lasting aftertaste. Strong mental and physical high - OG Kush is an extremely strong cannabis strain, with most experienced smokers listing it as one of their favourites. The effect is as strong physically as it is mentally. Though its effect is like an Sativa, the strain's genetics are mostly Indica. The effect is as strong and complex as the flavour. OG Kush takes around 8 weeks to flower and on average the yield is 500 grams per plant.

I tried defoliating two days ago but just the leaves that are underneath and started to bend toward the soil, 1-2 leaves per plant not that serious defoliating because its an autoflower and I won’t stress it to much. I did another defoliating an hour ago, 1 leaf per plant again just those trap inside the bottom part. Low stress training still on going but no new tie, i’ll try to leave it like that until the end i’ll just tuck the leaves blocking the developing pistils. I noticed that out of 3 plants, 1 is taller and bushier than the rest. Looks like the other two stunned their growth or just slow in growth. Seriously I don’t have an idea same nutrient and care are given to all plants. I feed them twice a week every 3-4 days, no negative reactions or whatnot. Nutrients adjusted in this week. Same temperature and humidity level as last week, keeping an eye daily to adjust if its not in desire level.

This week another huge growth. Still on EC 1.5. I try EC 1.7 and little bit of nutrient burn show up, so I low it to 1.5. By far biggest plant I grew. Plant is very vigorous.

Have to harvest in a few days. One of them doesn't smell like Runtz, but rather like lemon herbs and gout yogurt... I only know this from some Afghani landraces. Maybe it has something to do with the ruderalis part. 2nd and photoperis are runtzy🤤

I will cut down my plants this week looks like the Moby Dick is ready and one of the blue amnesia is almost ready the other two most definitely needs more time but the blue amnesia is losing too many leaves because I'm having trouble flushing completely the soil for nutrients for this one and the other one (Moby Dick)was severely shocked in the beginning so until it runs completely yellow and affect the yield I decided to cut them down I just want to use my tent to dry because of smells and discretion.

Producing steadily, slight smell. This pheno is strong and fast growing. Not as susceptible to light burn as the sister pheno. Also more productive, and managed to top itself as a seedling without any help. Will keep this strain forever. I absolutely love it! Happy growing 💚🌱

Day 99. Girls are superb, as always too thin, too lanky, but in reality its million of buds and i am more than happy ! ;)) Last feed in the middle of week without any BioGrow. Then only water. In plans 24-25 of May is chop day, thinking to defoliate more a week before chop. Day 103. Girls are pumping and fading, some are fading ;))))) All 4 Runtz most green, but Mini and Frosty looks like almost ready, they are a week upfront with others. Monster Blue Dream eats herself like no-one else, she is fading fast, loads of nuggy, frosty buds, but i will push all to the same day, some trees will be for day smoke, some for crash out evenings ;))) Day 105. Girls got last light feed , we are on final stretch ! Happy Growing !

Well these beauties are stood at a whopping 42" and are now working on their flowers in full effect! I'm quite sure at this point all these clones are the same strain of sugar bomb punch 😁 so ending up with the favourite in their! She reminds me of runtz muffin because of the orange punch in her genetics!

Ok so had a good week approaching week 5 of flower for the rest of the plants the large critical mass that's a few weeks ahead of these has now started to be flushed checked the trichomes looking nice and milky so will flush that one over the next 2 weeks and continue with the feeding schedule of advanced nutrients for rest of the baby girls

Hi Growmies I hope your week had been as productive and fun as mine and that your flowering is progressing. It has been a very easy week to manage their needs. Nicely set and with lots of light per plant , we have a lot of clusters of pistils throughout their whole structure. Keeping the humidity lower now is helping to reduce the risk of bud rot with so much vegetation and fresh pistils to feed it. It will also help raise the oils needd within the girls to keep them supple amd attractive to those buzzy friends they hope to attract. The smell of sweet pineapple is so strong in the room now and their stickiness from resin is really starting to show itself now. It is evident that the plagron products have had a substantial effector the progress now with so.mamy sets of flowers lower in the canopy too. Seeing other grows of the Biscotti not using the products , there is a difference in node lengths between flowers without doubt. The flowering plants are nice and stocky compared to most of my previous grows sonit has been easier to keep them well within the lights sweet spot With just 2 weeks left that will hopefully be the adding weight and second flowering sets kicking into play too , a good yield could be on the cards. I do seem to have 2 phenotypes off the Biscotti running so it will be interesting to see how they differ at the end for yield etc.. I have added a small greenhouse heater to bring the temp up a little and help with the humidity control too as we are experiencing a very cold snap again in good old Blighty. All in all a great week with a more to follow hopefully. 😀 Be lucky and stay safe among the chaos unfolding.......

Day 20 Did an emergency bare root transplant from biosolids to organic soil. Like, I cleaned the roots off. They were hurting so bad and I definitely ripped some roots in the process, so I decided to prune so the roots had less foliage to feed. They got topped yesterday, too. A little earlier than I would have liked, but it made sense. This one is doing the best. Day 23 Transplanted again down to 2 gallon pots to make room for another round I started. I decided to cut the fan leaves, too. These have been pruned and topped down to nothing but the emerging foilage from the 3rd and 4th nodes. My thinking is that the root system is so compromised that the less foliage they have to feed, the better. Fed some General Organics Bio Root 0-1-1 to promote root growth. Light mnist of pH’d water for foilar feeding. Day 25 I think the Bio Root and the shade is doing them good 🤞Time will tell. If these come back strong, I’ll move them into 15 gallon living soil bags.

WEEK 9 - (04/25/2021 - 05/01/2021) Day 67 (Week 1, Day 1 - FLOWER): 04/25/2021 Today marks the first official day of the flower cycle. Light timer has been adjusted to 12/12. First 12 hour dark period begins at 5 a.m. on the morning of 04/26. I would say 70-75% of the first screen has been filled. ½ strength nutrient feeding today. Glookies #1 gave off a really high ppm reading. Don’t think it was accurate. Tap water: 220ppm, 8.7 pH + HydroGuard: 1ml/gallon = 9ml/9 gallons + pH Down: 28ml Mixture: 230ppm, 6.2 pH, 68℉ ppm/ppm = runoff/soil JB#1: 1320ppm/1090ppm, 6.7 pH JB#2: 1115ppm/885ppm, 6.5 pH GC#1: 3540ppm (seems too high) GC#2: 2270ppm/2040ppm, pH 6.5 AP#1: 2410ppm/2180ppm, 6.4 pH AP#2: 1600ppm/1370ppm, pH 6.6 Well, the first week of flower is in the books. All but one plant is starting to grow pistils. These plants are getting a little out of control being cramped in this 4x4. I defoliated just before flipping to flower, and they needed another touch-up. I'm a little worried this will cause me to have to do frequent touch-ups or kill one or two plants and create some space. I'm leaning more toward killing 1 or 2 plants, rather than risk all of them getting overly stressed from too many defoliations. I completely underestimated how much these Cannabis plants would grow, especially once they started to stretch. I'm going to start saving the water that is collected through the dehumidifier. The plan is to use this water for the flush in the last 2 weeks of flower. Thanks for dropping in and showing some Aloha, everybody. And remember, don't drink and drive, smoke and fly. See you next week. 🙏
