Days 33-35 Both ladies have been transplanted and moved into the Veg tent! If you look in the video you can see the setup. Both are in 10.5"x10.5" square nursery pots approx 3Gal each. Both were put into happy frog soil using azos and recharge during transplant. I have them under an optic 8+ with a cob as supplemental lighting Day 37: A light defoliation day today, especially for #1. I removed all the mature fan leaves that were blocking any bud sites or nodes at all. Essentially leaving the top 2 mature leaves in tact. I honestly did not want to do this! It was heart wrenching to mutilate such a beautiful naturally growing plant 🤷‍♂️ practicality wins in the end tho. I removed the 2 oldest lowest fan leaves from #2 as well. More for sanitation reasons. They werent8blocking anything but the uh were dragging in the dirt and starting to fade anyhow. I actually kept 1 leaf. My 1st time ever doing this. The leaf is so neat, overlapping itself. *transplant update day 37* In my very green opinion they look to be struggling a bit with the transplant. I like to wet my medium prior to placing the rootball in, sometimes it's great and the roots chase it. Sometimes they get a little water logged and it takes a week b4 watering. I'm thinking it's the latter in this scenario. Day 38; #1's top fan leaves are rolling in again. I figured it was heat but the surface area doesn't get above 78° which from what I've read is fine. Maybe it's a strain issue? Looks very imdica, ma uh be is accustomed to a cooler climate? Day 39: I lowered #1 about a foot further from the light. She is still all curled up tho. It isn't heat. I watered them at transplant per my usual routine. 2 other plants stranded extremely bad and these 2 are acting goofy. I probably over did it that day Day 42 and 43 In day 42 CMOG #1 needed some water. It's her 1st drink since transplant. #2 on the other hand is drinking a bit less. I also took 2 upper fan leaves off #1(I hate doing it, but gotta promote those bud sites!! Day 43nothing really to report. I videotaped myself plucking a couple lower fan leaves. I'm raising the fan a bit more above #2 to keep wind stress down. Day 44: 🚨⛈️Emergency!!⛈️🚨 Power is out! My light cycle is as follows: on at 6pm off at 12pm. Its 2:45am right now and the power has gone out. Which was wierd because it went out b4 the storm hit! It was fricken midday when the outtage happen!! My poor Chocolate Mint OG 😖 keeping humididty down is gonna be hard and my grow is very far from and natural light source even if they were on the same cycle as nature 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ if ur reading this say a quick prayer! Alrighty, guys and gals it's another res change and another opportunity to make mistakes haha. All in all, I actually got a lot of helpful advice through the questions forum so a big shout out to anyone that helped with those issues. Unfortunately with the rest of the canopy being somewhat the same height, I decided to leave the lights on 100%. I can't raise them any higher and I just have to better in veg when it comes to keeping the canopy even and encouraging bud sites. I'm super tempted to trim up the top big fan leaves but I honestly am not sure if it would help any at this point in time. I'm looking forward to giving the buds more time to grow though and I'm hoping a surprise myself with a great turnout. I'm still at a loss for when to harvest as far as what to look for with the buds aesthetically. I've heard the trichomes cloudy bit so many times but I guess I just cant tell if I should harvest what's larger done and cloudy then harvest the rest later etc.

This plant that I harvested today I've only defoliated and she took well to that. I LST and defoliated the other plant and she is still ripening will harvest her soon. 285gramms of wet bud is quite good for first grow, so i should get about 60g dry, I'll update actual value when dry. She was in the tent with 4 other plants under the Skyline 1000 lights which pull 500w from mains. She filled the room with some sort of orange/lemon candy smell. Smells really nice. I'll update when I harvest the other Candy Kush and report on taste/effect once dried. ------- Day 79 I harvested the other Candy Kush, gave 280g wet, not much of a difference between the trained and untrained plants, although I think she could have gotten fatter had I left her longer. Looking at the buds now that they dried up they got much smaller :D Really loving the smell, can't wait for them to cure.

Day 5 of Starting my biggest grow yet. All seed are from fast buds and are prizes from nov 22 newbie of the month. Iam starting this grow now as I have worked my way to getting a setup I am happy with. Will try to keep a detailed run at this dairy. Iam Biobizz light mix substrate in 12L root nurse fabric pots under two mars hydro ts1000s running at 25%. Average temp 20c and humidity 80% this week. Got three healthy seedling my Cherry cola don’t look to good I will germinate a seed along side her this week and see how we go. Let’s get this work 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

The size of the flowers seem to be a bit slower putting on weight compared to the last grow, only time will tell. Trichomes production seems to be better this time around 😃

My good friend convinced me that trimming and training are paramount, so I've started with slowly defoliating the Creme de la Chems to try and get to lollipop status. They're just starting to flower, so I figured I could get away with a more aggressive approach. Because I failed to train these girls early, I'm stuck dealing with a little rain forest. What I've tried to do is trace each flower topped stalk up from the base, and trim away from the bottom up. 1/3 of the way up per day. I've now got a thick canopy, and I've been trying to just use leaf tucking and manual manipulation every few hours in order to keep the different height flowering sites in direct light. These ladies have really been thriving, and it's been such a joy to watch them grow! I like having two plants in one net pot letting them grow wild, but I think in my next grow I'll keep it to one per pot and train better from the start. As for the Super Orange Haze ... not as good. I attempted to pull the main branch over to train her to some empty space, but I was too aggressive and ended up popping her head off :(. First grow, first disaster. I took the head and stripped her/coated in clonex and pushed her into some potting soil just to see what would happen. There hasn't been enough foliage to really make me want to do any trimming, I've just tried to tie the stalks off to train them apart. I'm really sad about my mistake decapitation, but she seems to be doing well still. She's probably week 2 of flower based on others' journals. I changed the water midway through the week (which is when the videos were taken). I drained most of the water out, but roots prevented me from getting the last few gallons. When I refilled the res with RO, I measured the PPM at around 200. I have to assume that remaining nutrient was completely unbalanced leftovers, so feeding will have to just have to be experimental. My approach has been to give around 1:1 Gro vs Bloom and Micro every 2-3 days when I refill with RO. I want to build my PPM up to 1000, but slowly so that I can detect if I hit a ceiling first. It's hard to measure how much food is in the water based on PPM. CalMag is what drives it mostly, so I've been using CalMag as a sort of measuring stick. I keep the CalMag pegged to the Bloom food, but I know it's only good for initial dosing. I can't assume the plants are eating CalMag in the same proportion as anything else :(. If anyone has a line on cheap lab testing ... hit me up. I'd love to be able to test a few hundred samples at a time for NPK and trace so that I can tell (even if post facto) what was going on.
