πŸ’™ 8Γ—8 Adventure – Week 13 🌿 Blueberry Muffin – Pheno A ? The Compact Girl Is Back in Front of the Camera β€” Small Plant, BIG Presence Welcome back to another chapter of the 8Γ—8 Adventure! πŸŒ±πŸ’š And finally... WE HAVE PHOTOS AGAIN! πŸ˜‚πŸ“ΈπŸ’™ After missing this little lady last week, I was more than ready to get the camera back on her. And honestly? Just look at her. Look at those white hairs. Look at that main cola. Look at that flower formation. Look at the way she's shining. ?🌸✨ She's not big. Not even close. She's still one of the smaller plants in this room. But... OH MY GOD. Look at her. πŸ˜‚πŸ’™ This is exactly why I love documenting individual phenotypes. You can look at a plant and immediately notice her size. She's compact. She's small. She's delayed compared with much of the room. Both Blueberry Muffin phenotypes are actually following their own, much slower timeline. But then you stop. You look closer. You see that main cola. You see the beautiful flower structure. You see all those bright white hairs. You see the way the flowers are developing. And suddenly her size doesn't seem nearly as important anymore. Because this little girl has presence. And today... we're going to give her the spotlight. As big as she is. πŸ’™πŸŒΈβœ¨ ──────────────────────── 🌱 THE 8Γ—8 ADVENTURE β€” SAME ROOM, DIFFERENT STORIES ──────────────────────── For anyone discovering this diary for the first time, welcome to the 8Γ—8 Adventure. The idea behind this project is simple: Take different genetics and phenotypes... put them into the same room... give them essentially the same environment... and then watch what happens. Same room. Same 12/12 schedule. Same general environment. Same lighting ecosystem. Same irrigation philosophy. Same nutritional program. Same grower. But completely different expressions. And Blueberry Muffin Pheno A is one of the clearest examples of that. She's small. She's compact. She's moving slower than many of her neighbours. And yet... she's still beautiful. She's still flowering. She's still developing. She's still building. And she's still showing us exactly why phenotype variation is so fascinating. The environment is stable. The plants are given the same opportunity. And then the genetics say: "Thank you very much. I'll decide what to do with it." πŸ˜‚πŸ’™ And this girl has decided to take her sweet time. ──────────────────────── ? LOOK AT THOSE WHITE HAIRS ──────────────────────── This is where I want to start. Because... just look at them. ??? Those bright white pistils immediately catch the eye. Against the green foliage and developing flowers, they create so much contrast. And when you look at the main cola... wow. The structure is beautiful. She's not producing some giant tower that takes over the room. She's building a compact, beautifully formed flower structure. And honestly? I really like it. There is something incredibly satisfying about looking at a plant this size and then seeing the detail she's putting into her flowers. Small frame. Beautiful flowers. Bright white hairs. Increasing structure. And a whole lot of personality. πŸ’™πŸŒΈ? That's our Blueberry Muffin. ──────────────────────── 🌸 THAT MAIN COLA DESERVES A SPOTLIGHT ──────────────────────── Let's talk about that main cola for a moment. Because that's the kind of flower that makes you stop while walking through the room. πŸ˜‚ You look at the whole plant and think: "Yeah, she's a small one." Then you look at that cola. And suddenly: "Okay..." πŸ˜‚πŸ’™ She's got a beautiful central structure. The flower is developing nicely. The surrounding leaves frame it beautifully. And those white hairs make the whole thing pop. This is exactly why I don't like judging a plant purely by size. If I only looked at height, I could easily overlook her. But if I look at the actual flowers? That's a completely different story. She's got something going on. And I absolutely love seeing it. ──────────────────────── 🌿 SMALL PLANT. BIG PERSONALITY. ──────────────────────── She's still small. Let's not pretend otherwise. πŸ˜‚πŸ’™ She's not going to suddenly wake up tomorrow and decide: "Today I become the biggest plant in the tent." That's not her story. And I'm perfectly okay with that. Because her personality has never really been about size. It's about being compact. It's about making the most of the structure she has. It's about developing at her own rhythm. And now... it's about watching those flowers continue to mature. She's delayed compared with much of the room. Both Blueberry Muffin phenotypes are. But that's exactly what makes their journey interesting. We're not forcing them to catch up. We're not trying to make them behave like their neighbours. We're simply watching them. And right now? She's looking beautiful. ──────────────────────── 🐒 THE SLOW GIRL IS STILL MOVING ──────────────────────── If we're being honest... she's definitely not one of the fastest girls in the room. πŸ˜‚ Not even close. While some of the other plants have been charging ahead, Blueberry Muffin has basically looked at the calendar and said: "Yeah... I'll get there when I get there." πŸ˜‚πŸ’™ And you know what? Fair enough. She's still progressing. She's still developing. She's still building flowers. She's still changing. She's just doing it on her own schedule. And that's something I've really learned to appreciate during this adventure. Not every plant needs to follow the same clock. We give them the same room. The same general conditions. The same care. But the plants don't owe us the same timeline. Blueberry Muffin is taking her time. And we're letting her. ──────────────────────── 🌸 NO NEED TO RUSH A BEAUTIFUL THING ──────────────────────── This is probably one of the most relaxed stages of this particular plant's story. I'm not doing much. Actually... I'm barely doing anything to her. πŸ˜‚ And that's perfectly fine. The major work has already been done. Her structure is established. Her flowers are there. Her main cola is developing. The room is stable. She's healthy-looking. So what exactly am I supposed to do? Nothing dramatic. Nothing unnecessary. I'm simply watching. Enjoying the view. Taking photographs. And letting her continue. Sometimes growing is about intervention. Sometimes growing is about knowing when to leave a beautiful thing alone. And right now? I'm very happy just watching this girl do her thing. ──────────────────────── πŸ’‘ SAME ARTIFICIAL SUN. SAME PHOTONS. ──────────────────────── The room itself hasn't changed. We're keeping the same lighting environment across all the reports this week. The Future of Grow Black Series LEDs remain the backbone of the room. The two additional Black Series 600W fixtures remain part of the upgraded lighting setup. We've already reduced the output from the initial level to approximately 59% from the plug, giving us around: β˜€οΈ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy with intensity naturally varying according to plant height and position. And Blueberry Muffin? She's still receiving the same photons as everybody else. Same artificial sun. Same room. Same lighting ecosystem. Different genetic response. And that's exactly what makes this experiment so interesting. Some plants take those photons and stretch. Some build huge structures. Some spread. Some stay compact. And this girl? She takes them... and builds this. 🌸?πŸ’™ Small. Beautiful. Compact. And completely herself. ──────────────────────── 🌿 THE ROOM IS STABLE β€” AND IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING ──────────────────────── This is something I want to mention because it's becoming increasingly obvious as the adventure progresses. We're not changing things just for the sake of changing them. The room is stable. The environment is stable. The plants are developing. And honestly? It seems to be working. That's a pretty good reason to leave things alone. πŸ˜‚πŸ’š We don't need to constantly chase something. We don't need to make a dramatic adjustment every week. We don't need to reinvent the room because one plant is slower than another. The room is alive. The plants are alive. They're developing. They're enjoying the environment. So for now... we keep it stable. And we watch. ──────────────────────── βš—οΈ NUTRITION β€” SAME PROGRAM FOR EVERYONE ──────────────────────── We're keeping the same feeding strategy across the reports this week. No special recipe for Blueberry Muffin. No attempt to force her to catch up. No changing things because she's slower. The current recipe is: 🌱 Plagron Pure Zym β€” 1 ml/L βš—οΈ Plagron pH Plus β€” 0.03 ml/L πŸ‹ Plagron Lemon Kick β€” 0.03 ml/L 🌸 Plagron Terra Bloom β€” 2 ml/L 🌱 Plagron Power Buds β€” 1 ml/L 🍯 Plagron Sugar Royal β€” 1 ml/L Current solution readings are approximately: βš—οΈ pH β€” 6.04 ⚑ EC β€” ~2.05 mS/cm And we're keeping it there. Same feeding. Same room. Same general strategy. And the plants are telling us that stability is working. Blueberry Muffin is continuing to develop. Slowly... but beautifully. ──────────────────────── 🌑️ WEEK 13 β€” CURRENT CONDITIONS ──────────────────────── The room is currently running around: 🌸 Flowering β€” Week 13 πŸ’‘ Light schedule β€” 12/12 🌑️ Day temperature β€” ~27Β°C πŸŒ™ Night temperature β€” ~26Β°C πŸ’§ Relative humidity β€” ~61% βš—οΈ pH β€” ~6.04 ⚑ EC β€” ~2.05 mS/cm πŸ’¦ Nutrient solution temperature β€” ~25Β°C 🌱 Substrate temperature β€” ~25Β°C 🌬️ COβ‚‚ β€” ~693 ppm 🌱 Pot size β€” 15 L πŸ’¦ Irrigation β€” ~1.45 L per plant / 24h πŸ“ Height β€” ~75 cm Same room. Same environment. Same lighting. Same feeding. Same general care. And one little Blueberry Muffin continuing to write her own timeline. ──────────────────────── πŸ”¬ BOTH BLUEBERRY MUFFINS ARE TAKING THEIR TIME ──────────────────────── This is something worth pointing out. It's not just her. Both Blueberry Muffin phenotypes are showing this slower rhythm compared with many of the other plants in the room. And I actually find that fascinating. Because here we have two phenotypes of the same genetics... sharing the same room... under the same conditions... and both are showing a noticeably slower progression. That doesn't mean they're doing badly. It means they're different. And that's exactly what we're here to document. Some genetics are simply on another clock. And rather than forcing them into somebody else's schedule... we watch. We document. We learn. And we let them be what they are. Blueberry Muffin Pheno A doesn't need to catch up with anybody. She just needs to finish her own story. ──────────────────────── πŸ“Έ FINALLY β€” THE CAMERA IS BACK ──────────────────────── And I'm very happy about this. Because after missing her last week... I really wanted to see her properly again. And the photographs did not disappoint. πŸ’™πŸ“Έ That main cola. Those white hairs. Those developing flowers. That compact structure. The way she sits inside the room. All of it reminds me why I enjoy documenting individual phenotypes so much. You can watch the plant every day... but then you take a photograph... and suddenly you see her differently. You notice details. You notice development. You notice things you might have missed with the naked eye. And Blueberry Muffin has definitely given us some beautiful details this week. ──────────────────────── πŸ’š SHE'S SMALL β€” SO LET'S MAKE HER SHINE BIG ──────────────────────── This might be my favourite way to describe her. She's not big. She's not even medium-sized compared with some of the monsters in this room. πŸ˜‚ But who cares? Let's make her shine as big as she is. Actually... let's make her shine BIGGER than she is. Because the spotlight doesn't care about height. The camera doesn't care about height. And flowers certainly don't care how tall the plant is. πŸ˜‚πŸ’™ She's got beautiful flowers. She's got that gorgeous main cola. She's got bright white hairs. She's got her own structure. She's got her own personality. And she's earned her space in this diary. So let's give her all the attention today. πŸ’™πŸŒΈ?✨ ──────────────────────── 🌿 NOT MUCH WORK β€” AND THAT'S THE POINT ──────────────────────── There's really not much we're doing with her now. And that's intentional. We're not looking for work. We're not trying to create something to do. We're simply letting the plant continue. The room is stable. The environment is stable. The nutrition is stable. The lighting is stable. And the plant is developing. That's enough. The grower doesn't always need to be the main character. Sometimes the plant should be. And right now... Blueberry Muffin has the stage. We're just watching from the front row. πŸ˜‚πŸ’™ ──────────────────────── πŸ” HOW MUCH LONGER DOES SHE HAVE? ──────────────────────── That's the question. And honestly? I don't know. πŸ˜‚ She is clearly delayed compared with many of the other girls. But that doesn't tell me exactly how much time she has left. Maybe she's got a lot more development ahead. Maybe she's closer than she looks. Maybe the next couple of weeks will change everything. I don't know. And I'm not going to pretend I do. We're simply going to watch the plant. Watch the flowers. Watch the development. Watch the overall maturity. And eventually... she'll tell us. Until then? We're enjoying the show. ──────────────────────── 🌸 LET HER WRITE HER OWN TIMELINE ──────────────────────── This is probably the biggest lesson this little plant has given me. Don't force the calendar onto the plant. The room may be at Week 13. The other plants may be much further along. But Blueberry Muffin doesn't know she's supposed to be somewhere else. πŸ˜‚πŸ’™ She's just being Blueberry Muffin. And that's exactly what we want. The whole purpose of the 8Γ—8 Adventure is to observe how different genetics and phenotypes express themselves under a shared environment. So when one girl takes longer... that's not a failure of the experiment. That's the experiment. And I'm absolutely enjoying watching it. ──────────────────────── ✨ FINAL THOUGHTS β€” THE COMPACT GIRL IS SHINING ──────────────────────── Week 13. And our little Blueberry Muffin is finally back in front of the camera. πŸ’™πŸ“Έ She's still small. She's still compact. She's still behind much of the room. Both Blueberry Muffin phenotypes are taking their sweet time. But look at her. Just look. Those white hairs. That main cola. That flower formation. That beautiful structure. She's shining. And that's what matters. We're not rushing her. We're not changing the room for her. We're not changing the feeding for her. We're not trying to force her to catch up. We're simply providing a stable environment... and watching what she does with it. And honestly? The stability seems to be working. The room is alive. The plants are alive. Everything is moving. Everything is developing. And Blueberry Muffin Pheno A is quietly doing her part. She's not big. She's not trying to be. She's just... her. And I love that. πŸ’™πŸŒΈ? So let's make this compact little girl shine as big as she is. Let's appreciate that main cola. Let's appreciate those beautiful white hairs. Let's appreciate the flower structure. Let's appreciate the patience. And let's appreciate the fact that even after thirteen weeks of flowering... she's still giving us something new to look at. That's the beauty of phenotype hunting. You don't always know where the story is going. You just have to keep watching. And I'm very happy to keep watching this one. ──────────────────────── πŸ™ THANK YOU ──────────────────────── A huge thank you to Zamnesia for the Blueberry Muffin genetics and for giving us the opportunity to discover these individual phenotypes. πŸ’™πŸŒΈ Thank you to Plagron for supporting the nutritional side of the adventure. 🌱 Thank you to Future of Grow for the Black Series lighting and especially for supplying the two additional Black Series 600W fixtures that have expanded the lighting capability of the 8Γ—8 Adventure. πŸ’‘πŸ™ Thank you to Lumiflora for adding another lighting dimension deeper into the canopy. Thank you to TrolMaster for helping maintain the environment behind the scenes. And of course... thank you to everyone following along on GrowDiaries. Every comment. Every question. Every observation. Every photograph. Every week spent watching these girls evolve. It all becomes part of the story. And Blueberry Muffin Pheno A? She's still writing hers. Slowly. Beautifully. Compactly. And completely in her own way. πŸ’™πŸŒΈ?✨ She's delayed. She's small. She's compact. But she's absolutely beautiful. And after finally getting her back in front of the camera... I can say one thing for certain: She was worth the wait. So keep doing your thing, little lady. Keep growing. Keep flowering. Keep shining. And whenever you're ready... show us what that beautiful little frame can really do. Blueberry Muffin Pheno A. Week 13. Small plant. Beautiful plant. Big personality. πŸ’™πŸŒΈβœ¨ Let's keep watching. Growers Love & Happy Growing! πŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸ’™ P.S.- i have induced and few photos stacked and merged in single ones fell free to zoom in and find the fun in there πŸŒ±πŸ’šπŸ’™

Day 42, start of flowering week 3: they are growing nicely, had to do a lot of defoliation on each plant, except the one in the 3L pot. Day 43, I started to discover that the roots are coming out aggressively from the bottom of the pot. I did not move the ones in the back, but I guess same thing. The one in the 3L pot doesn't have this problem. Day 45: getting really excited for these guys! I'm trying to keep the temp and humidity low, and I hope I can achieve some of the purple color :P any advice on that? day46: defoliaton

Easy grow and the overall quality is great. I feel like I definitely could yield way more if I did way more training. If included trim and shake, this planted yield 2 ozs which isn’t bad for sharing space with 3 other plants in a 2x2 space. I have a few more seeds of this strain and will be growing them again definitely. I’ll catch yall on the next one ☝️🏾

Late update, ran into some issues with the roots but the end product is still decent. Will make some tweaks next time, the problem was my transplant. I didn’t put the plants down deep enough and the soil was compacted to add. Plants start tipping over and nearly derooted when buds got heavier. Also was using too much nutes, will be switching to coco. Don’t think I used too much, soil just retained a lot of the nutes and water. Hoping coco will solve that issue for me.

Week 16. This is the final week. I will harvest this girl on Sunday as it is ready. I have already tried some and it is very nice, strong, it makes my body relaxing, my limbs are easy. Lovely strain and very strong, this is good medical stuff. As it can be seen it is full of flowers, and a lot of THC. From tomorrow ( Friday) I will not give any water because Sunday it will be harvested. Friday: Last day of watering. Saturday: Tomorrow is harvest day. No water for the plant. I will be back tomorrow.

Fungus gnats were in full effect here due to the Down-to-Earth potting mix. That stuff doesn't drain worth a damn! I had just sprayed the plants with neem oil and soap in this video... and needless to say that didn't turn out well (more to follow) In other news, the French Macaron roots were growing like crazy at this point.

They seem to have stopped stretching and are now focusing on the buds. Very odd coloration happening on the leaves of the left plant. I'm thinking it's either a calcium deficiency or a manganese deficiency. Either way the buds are developing nicely still. Right is looking great right now, save for a few spider mites I had to squish earlier last week. Nice and frosty at 5th week of flower. If all goes well with both of these girls, I'll be harvesting them at the end of January. I'll definitely give them a bud washing b/c I found mites. Update 1/2/22: okay I've got a few notes to make on the progress as a whole. So after topping right, it seems like she started producing flowering hormones right after. While left focused on stretching for like a week more. Right has fat, compact and frosty buds- shaped like golf balls. Left has spire-shaped buds, not AS dense(still dense though, mind you), and less frost. So I'm thinking left is staggered behind right by about a week. Since this is week 5, we'll be able to tell just how far ahead she is by week 8.
