Able to start low stress and get these shoots to grow grow grow so I can get this space filled and let em rock!!!! I'm excited too cuz these are getting cloned right before I flip and then see how they do outdoors in my colder climate...

Week 2: Light Struggles, First Adjustments & the Patience Test Update: 14.03.25 Good morning, grow fam! Week 2 of my photoperiod journey is running – a mix of challenges and small wins. Here’s a look at the early days of my Blueberry and Durban Poison seedlings. Current Observations: Light Deficiency & Stretching Stems The first days post-germination were intense: The seedlings developed extremely long, thin stems (check the photos!), a clear sign of insufficient light. Since I’m intentionally avoiding extra lighting to save resources, I had to improvise: - Tray Rotation: I rotate the seedling tray multiple times a day to ensure even exposure to the weak March sunlight. - DIY Support: For the most stretched seedlings, a bent wire acts as a crutch to prevent them from collapsing. Interestingly, the tomato and cucumber plants in the same tray show no issues – their stems stay compact. Seems like veggies are better adapted to low-light conditions than cannabis! Nutrients & Alfa Boost: An Experiment Even though my Biobizz Lightmix should provide enough nutrients for the first weeks, I tested a sample of Alfa Boost (freebie from the grow shop) during watering. The product claims to boost roots and stress resistance – perfect for my light-stressed babies. So far, no negative reactions, but no explosive growth either. Slow Growth – No Cause for Concern The plants are growing just millimeters per day, but that’s okay. My focus is on building sturdy, resilient plants, not speed. Once days get longer and sunnier, growth should pick up. They’ll stay indoors until mid-May anyway – plenty of time to bulk up. Next Steps & Tweaks - Transplanting in 1–2 Weeks: Once the first true leaf pairs emerge, they’ll move to small pots with my Biobizz All-Mix blend. - First Topping Soon: Once the plants hit 4–5 nodes, I’ll top them to encourage bushier growth. Week 2 Takeaway: Patience is key! Even in suboptimal conditions, I trust Dutch Passion’s resilient genetics. Fingers crossed for greener progress next week. In dieser Woche hat die Pflanze das komplette Zelt ordentlich ausgefüllt und hat sich auch ganz gut gestreckt. Am Ende der Woche habe ich ihr ein bischen die Beine rasiert um eine bessere Luftzirkulation zu gewährleisten. Einen schluck Bio PK 5-8 hat sie an dem Tag auch noch bekommen.

Checked the trichomes and still are looking clear. Thinking the latest ill harvest is August 30 but it could be sooner, just need to see how it goes. Had a hot week of weather in 80s-90s gonna be in the 70-80 range the next 10 days or so.

Week 2 (08.29.2021 - 09.04.2021) Nothing much to report this week. The ladies are looking fantastic. The canopy is from wall-to-wall. The stretch seems to have slowed down quite a bit. However, I've raised my light up as high as it will go with the rope ratchets. If the canopy gets much closer to the light fixture I'm going to have to figure out a way to create some distance. Tying down some branches at this point would be a real pain in the ass, so I'm trying to avoid that. Those three Bubble OG plants are something else. They're stretching up so much, it's like they're on steroids or something. Seriously, in the past week they've shot up a ton. I can't believe how much they've grown. Well, it's Christmas again. This year feels a little different, though. Maybe it's the snow blanketing everything, or the way the tree lights up the whole living room. Either way, it's cozy and warm, even when it's freezing outside. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Santa brings. I hope I get that new video game I've been wanting. But most of all, I can't wait to spend time with my family. We always have so much fun This past week was a good one for the plants. They started the first week of their stretch, and they've already grown a decent amount. I can really see them filling out. It's cool to watch them grow so fast. I can't wait to see how big they get by the end I always get a little worried at this stage, like they're not gonna get as big as I want them to. But then I remember how they always end up surprising me. By the end, they're always perfect.

Everything is looking really good. I decided to remove more fan leaves than I was comfortable with, I guess I will see how it affects overall growth. I figure the stretch should be done, so now the main focus is on the flowers. The smell is sweet like berries that were dipped in kerosene (like toxic gas)
