7/27/2023- Prep Tent and system are cleaned and ready to go from my last grow. I have submitted my Journa for the Diary of the Month Competition here is to hopeing for good resutls. 7/28/2023- Germination Day 0- Seed initiation Well lets get this new Grow started.. So My Dad Sent me a custom Strain that he wanted me to grow out and Breed for him. The Strain is Called Red Rhino: Red Rhino is an amazing strain coming from Israel and boasts a 60% Sativa and a 40% Indica. This strian comes from crossing double gum and master kush. Effects are an increased appetite, as well as giving you ephoric feelings throughout the whole day. RO Water Used Added Hydrogen Peroxided 8/1/2023- Germination Achieved G-Day 1 Popped her head above the root riot today to say hello.. Woot first challenge when dealing with an unknown seed and a new Strain is getting the seed to pop and the lady to show life. 8/2/2023- Germination Day 2 Took the root riot out today and it was soaked not good plant drowing again. I am still having a hard time finding the right blance for where the water should be to keep the root riot moist and not soaked. I had to drain some of the water out of the root riot plug to help give a little oxygen. I also removed some of the water. 8/3/2023- Germination Day 3 Looking good stretching her leaves out to let in the lights 8/4/2023- Germination Day 4 Looking good a few days until I put them into the RDWC System and get this thing rocking and rolling. 8/5/2023- Germinaiton Day 5 Looking good will probably plant tomorrow if the roots are still looking good. 8/6/2023- Plant Day- Germination Day 6 Planted into the RDWC System today. Joy when they go into the system as long as we dial that in right this will now be a great grow.. Survived the hard part.. 8/7/2023- Germination Day 7 Fell over today I am worried.., she is showing some damage on the lower leaves from the over watering in the cloning machine but right now I don't see any new damage. Supported the Stems with little improvised pole to help her stand up. 8/8/2023- Germination Day 8 Added the first Nutes today, to help support root growth and to help give there first jump to growth. I will take off the damage leaves probably tomorrow. 8/10/2023- Germination Day 10 Everything is looking good looks like she is recoving well, with just a little bit of a delay. Cleaned up the dead leaves... Day 1 VEG tomorrow.. Water Change Day and first real meal...

Got back on Day 42. Two are definitely in the flower stage. I was out of the country for 10 days for work. 😐 The self-watering system with water and BioBizz nutrients made it into the the plant. The reservoirs were almost completely empty after 10 days with 3L of water/nutrient in each. When I opened the tent, it was starting to smell and all of the plants had grown quite a bit while I was gone. I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE THIS WORKED!! I mean, I can. I was just nervous being gone for so long with no one checking on them. I'm going to keep the self-watering system in place. And I bought a better camera. I think this self-watering system will help me not over water so much. Also, since it's starting to smell, it's probably best not to open the tent too much. And yes, I have another work trip in two weeks. To another country. 😩 But I'll have a trusted friend coming by to check on things.

Week 9 .......... Flower Week.........June 6 to 12, 2020 ........ Days 57 to 63 from germination The two girl are sure opposites of each other in how this grow is turning out😂😂👍 GSC2 didn’t get a good transplant and she has really suffered for it........add in that both of them were battling high pH in first weeks and thus the reason for the transplant from the fabric pots into plastic.......she is actually hanging in there and this week progressed well. GSC on the other hand I just have to put into her own tent!!!! She is too freaking big!!!!! I can’t fit her in with the other flowering girls and have any success at the grow👍💪👊😉 The environment is not where it needs to be though for flower so added another humidity controller and smaller full spectrum light to bump up to 300 watt range in the veg/flower tent now. Had limited choice with a limited budget and needed it now. I could go through more fooling around for only roughly 3 more weeks before others are done and could combine the plants.......good excuse though to have increased flexibility going forward😉😉😉👍 Feed amount have been as expected with GSC taking 4L most days while GSC2 is more of 2.5L range when feeding. Have noticed they are taking more water in the taller 3 gallon plastic pots. That is a lot of bottles listed but they are never fed that all at once. That is just a full list of products used this week and the dosage in that feed. I have been holding the feed numbers around 1000 ppm the last week and I think she can take more so have bumped that up to 1300 range for the next week. Expect to see some tip burn as pushing them but very little so far. GSC is now 36” and 36” wide but her bud sites are not very big in my opinion. I have replaced G.P. Massive with A.N.Big Bud for now as I don’t need her getting any taller......just grow BIG BUD😃😃 GSC2 is being fed the same schedule as GSC and the same feed so all numbers are the same. GSC2 is only 17” tall though and 24” wide. GSC Environment has been hovering at 80 degrees and 50 percent humidity most of the days. (Another Humidity controller and light arrive this week.) GSC2 Environment has been hovering at 79 degrees and 61 percent humidity for most of the week. Yeast and sugar CO2 in use. Fast Buds strain is solid👊💪👍😍 as is evident in GSC......all issues are grower related to pH problems in first three weeks of their life. Little more detail: June 6, Day 57 - 8L mixture with BigBud @ 2ml, VeloKelp, Rezin, liquid Wt, Vitathrive, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml, CalMag @ 1ml = 1275ppm and 6.1pH - GSC took 5L and GSC took 3L. - turning lights down yesterday helped. Both girls leaves are standing up more now, June 7, Day 58 - debated on feed but mixed 8L with BigBud @ 2ml, Rhinoskin, VeloKelp, Rezin, liquid Wt @ 1.5ml, Dual Fuel @ 1ml = 1015ppm and 5.6pH - GSC took 6L and GSC2 2L.......good run off from GSC but none from GSC2 - GSC tent needs more humidity in it......working on it - GSC2 is not looking all that great with her long fan leaves. June 8, Day 59 - dry out day - GSC is doing very well and looking big. - GSC2 is doing better since in the flower tent and under the T5 light. June 9, Day 60 - mixed 8L water with Massive and Terpinator @ 3ml, Sensizyme, Rezin, Vitathrive @ 2ml, Liquid Wt @ 1.5ml, Dual Fuel @ 1ml = 1050ppm and 5.6pH - GSC given 5L and GSC2 was 3L. - Full strength feed as things are going okay overall. - GSC2 is getting taller and lower branches standing up more now. - GSC is happy by herself😀 June 10, Day 61 - 6L mixture with BigBud, Rezin @ 2ml, Liquid Wt @ 1.5ml = 475ppm - 4L for GSC and 2L for GSC2 - fair bit of runoff - GSC2 still has lots of leaves but they are not touching the pot anymore, she is getting taller. - GSC is really happy with her leaves way up. Buds are getting bigger as well......slowly😳 June 11, Day 62 - Dry out day today. - left them alone. - GSC will remain by herself. Need to get the humidity up over the 53% though. Temp is fine at 79 degrees. June 12, Day 63 - 8L mixture with Terpinator @ 3ml, BigBud, Rezin, Vitathrive @ 2ml, Sensyzime, Liquid Wt, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml, CalMag @ 1ml = 1350ppm and pH to 5.6 - GSC took 5L and GSC2 was 3L.......good runoff amounts from both. - GSC2 taken off the milk crate today. Stripped more leaves as well. Looking better at the end of the week👍

I've been defoliating slowly trying to keep them small due to a house inspection coming up. Once that's out the way I'll put them in bigger pots then switch to flower. They all outgrew the mutated start and are looking good.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Week 13

Week 20, week 10 of flower started 10/18 and the lights are now off until next run! I'll be cutting them down later tonight! So blessed to have gotten this far! I'm at a loss for words after that, happy growing everyone ✌️🍀✌️ Harvest update to follow........

They pulled out of the power outage wish I coulda seen what they done without all the undue stress from bad temps and no light for a day....

Week 8 of flowering was rough did not look in the tent for 2 days as my perimeter were all good and I watered every plant so I thought but did not water the gg4 as she felt heavy (her pot) and as I opened the tent on the second day i was shocked and very upset as she looked dead with the ph problems I already had a lot of her leaves were already damaged. Lost a lot of leaves and could probably pull off every fan leaf as all of them have damage now but were in the final week now so she should make it. The bud is not so frosty, nice size buds but with all my mess ups there was no time to create triclones. That my theory as I have gg4 clones at 4 weeks that are twice as frosty fingers crossed last week goes Smooth. Well hope it's last week blimburn seeds says 9-10 weeks so ill go 10. I'll try my jewlers loop but it's only 40× and does not work well if it don't look ready it will go to week 11
