Terpenes are aromatic compounds that give cannabis some of its most distinct aromas from citrus and berry, to more earthy tones. Many species of plants produce and emit terpenes in a diurnal, or daily cycle that is regulated by a complex web of signaling. There are also many plants that emit terpenes at night to attract nocturnal pollinators (Marinho et al., 2014346). Regardless of when the terpenes are produced or emitted, these processes are often dependent upon cues derived from natural light/dark cycles via a native circadian clock (Dudareva et al., 2004). Several light-sensitive pigments are involved in these processes of production and emission, and the different photoreceptors are dependent upon different wavelengths of light to be activated or deactivated. Emission of terpenes is a process that is entirely dependent upon phytochromes and red/far-red light cues in most plant species (Flores and Doskey, 2015). For example, repeated light/dark phytochrome signaling is necessary for the emission of terpenes in tobacco plants (Roeder et al., 2007). Based on previous findings, we hypothesized that a lack of red light and phytochrome-mediated light/dark signaling on the part of the plant is responsible for an increase in terpene content in cannabis. The moment we have all been waiting for... the summer outdoor flowering photos... enjoy :) These are already in their third week of flowering by now. Started the season off with a difficult start... I put them outdoors while the says were still too short. The plants all started to follower, but then as the solstice approached they all converted back into veg and grew like crazy. I was sure my entire grow was fukd... Now we are well into August which is solid flowering for Ontario growers in zone 5.

The tent has been cleaned. Flowering day 29 Today the plants and buds were checked for health and cleaned. Flowering day 30 Today was poured again. This mam she got 1 liter of water. (See nutrient table for nutrient addition). Of course, the plant was checked for its vitality 🧐😅. Flowering day 31 The humidifier was refilled a little and the tent cleaned 👍. Days of flowering 32 Today 1.2 liters of water were poured. (See nutrient table for nutrient addition). Fans, fans, electrics have been checked for functionality 😊. Woche 6 startet wie gewohnt ohne Probleme. Die Buds werden dicker und schwerer. RLF pendelt aktuell zwischen 45-52%, Temperaturen schwanken etwas mehr von 18-26°C. Noch halten die Buds sich von alleine aber ich denke zum Ende der Woche könnten sie Stützen gebrauchen. Der Geruch im Zelt ist extrem. Sie stinkt so stark, das ich das Zelt nicht lange offen lassen kann.😎 Die Masse der Blüten ist auch ziemlich gut. Wird bestimmt heftig.

In this week they were beyond beyond ready for bigger pots so it was time to bring them to there new and final home in a super secret space that no one will ever find.. it’s a garage but We built a cool ass room in it lol ! Anyways the plants are healthy and ready for a new pot this is the transfer from rockwoool cubes into coco coir for the flowering phase. We use this method because of the taste you get from coco coir in your buds and the speedy growth you get from rockwool !
