Growing really well, still think this one will be my heaviest yielding! She’s covered in a thick resin and continues to push pistils out, this one may have the density I’ve been trying to get. I think I’ve finally figured this strain out, looking forward to the bud off this girl. The bud that was pollinated is beginning to yellow, I will likely go ahead and snip that off towards the end of the week when the seed pods begin to open but before the seeds actually drop. Some of the other plants that had buds that were pollinated have already been harvested for the seeds. I left the remainder of the plants to finish up.

05/10 - Coming into week 4 and the ladies are thriving - Had a little yellowing going on but they have since recovered amazingly - Did a little defoliation on the bottom growth to remove any sick sites - Both will be transplanted into 5 gallon pots later this week. 😎😎😎😎😎

Week 5

Day 99: New Week We've decided against using additional nutrients and have completely stopped fertilizing. The light cycle has been reduced to 11 hours, and we're already starting to give them cooler water. Starting Monday, I will be watering with ice water to stress the plants further, aiming for higher yield, more terpenes, and increased frost. The adjustment to the light cycle should also help the plants ripen evenly. The lights are hanging about 20 cm above the buds, which are getting thicker every day, soaking up the light intensely. In about a week, most of the plants should be ready for harvest. We plan to stop watering them for about 100 hours before harvest. During this period, I'll place ice cubes on the soil to shock the roots one last time. 48 hours before harvest, I will turn off the lights, giving the plants two days of darkness. After this period, the plants will be cut and hung to dry.

End of Week 9 of Flower. I can just taste those buds now! The smell is intoxicating and the view is picturesque. There is definitely a noticeable difference between the two pheno's but I suspect both will pack a good punch. There has been some purpling in some of the top leaves which I expect will increase with the drop in temperature the last week or so. I cant wait to get some good pictures at the end of the week as Ive decided the chop day will be this coming Sunday. The clash of yellow, purple and green is always my favourite so I plan to capture as much as possible since the next update will be jam packed with pictures of the girls just before their chop and after 48 hours of darkness to get the last of that resin production from the plant. I will also take some pics of the hanging plants in the drying cupboard. The reason I am leaving my plants in darkness for 48 hours before they get chopped, is that it has been long belived that this practice will increase the last of the thrichome production and some say increases potency. There has been a recent study in the Netherlands which does confirm increased resin production for plants left in 48 hours of darkness (they also tested 24 hours darkness but found 48 was better) at the end of their flower cycle. The chop has been planned to be pretty straight forward where I will just be taking off the main fan leaves and leaves with no thrichomes as well as chopping off the larfy/popcorn buds which will go straight in the freezer for a fresh frozen bubble hash run. I dont bud wash my flower as my tent gets a regular clean each week and always gets a full deep clean when every harvest is over and besides, its only me and my friends that smoke it! The drying cupboard I use for drying is a small cupboard designed for storing and drying clothes which I have put a carbon filter and fan as well as a small desk fan to circulate the air as well as a small dehumidifier just incase there is an increase in humidity. So the basics of drying is that you want the area where you are drying to be dark and fairly cool (its recommended to be between 15 and 22 degrees C), have a humidity level between 45% and 55%. I aim for around 21 degrees C temperature and 50% humidity. The drying time can vary depending on strain but its recommended to dry the buds for 7 - 10 days and I will explain further about how to tell if your bud is done drying and is ready to be cured on the next post. Drying is very important as you can affect all your hard work if the conditions arent right and the bud ends up too dry (luckily these days there are ways to fix bud thats too dry) or you end up with mouldy ganja which isnt save to smoke. Its also believed that a good long dry in good conditions helps increase potency and also has been shown to reduce anxiety. This week I have adjusted the ties on all the my plants , some defoliation and lst. I have given them a KNF foliar feed with Fish Amino Acid , Lactobacillus and WCA . Lumatek is now at 100%.

20cm vertical growth this week. Not quite gone into flowering yet but she is very close. This will be her last veg week for sure.

Repotted in definitive pot. Gonna top those in the next days. Something I learned: water on the edge of the pot, as roots extends as much as possibile.

The Apple Fritter is simply a beautiful plant. She seems to absolutely love the climate inside the small tent, and it really shows in her development. She has also responded very well to the nutrients so far, and you can already see how strong and vigorous her growth is. Everything is looking healthy, and she is developing beautifully. I'm really excited to see how she continues to grow over the next few weeks. If she keeps going like this, this could become a very interesting run.

Still getting the feel on this new light . May need to lower percentage or pull further away .
