This week I've been focusing on continuing to bend each secondary branch into its final position. I am doing this slowly by making small daily changes, pulling each of the secondary branches away from its adjacent partner. As the tertiary branches grow out, I'll be guiding them out around the net basket. I am in awe of the strength of this plant! 💪 Day 41 - Shaping the Canopy! Our 8 branches have grown out a bit, and it's time for us to take the next step in the mainline! Today we're bringing back the handcuffs 🔗 for a little more bondage action. 😉 Using the same technique as before, I am attaching all the new branches to its adjacent fan leaf in an attempt to gently begin guiding our canopy closer to its final shape. I'll stop back in after a day or 2 to re-anchor all the branches once more, making sure that they're nice and spread out and level with one another. Thanks for following along, growmies! This has been so much fun! 🤓😁💜

Hey y'all week 8 in 3 days and things seems to be going not half bad. There's yellowing going on and I think that's due to me not checking my runoff and not correcting but they are in ranges of 6.4 to 6.8 ehhhh I know. But won't let that happen again. Besides that have you seen the frost on these lady's so far, especially for Pheno 1 she is super frosty and has a nice 🍇 🍋 smell that keeps getting better by the week. Pheno 2 smells like lemon citrus and Pheno 3 has a nice 🧀 🍇 smell going for her. Pheno 4 on the other hand is very subtle at the moment but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Till next week growmies Happpy growing y'all 🤙✌️

Views expressed are my own. All opinions are my own. The opinions expressed here belong solely to me and do not reflect the views of Growdiaries or Grandcru Genetics. The cannabis strain Grape Guava can be a purple strain, depending on its specific phenotype and genetic makeup. While not all phenotypes of Grape Guava are purple, some variations, such as the Zatix Grape Guava, are noted for their striking purple appearance due to the genetic expression of anthocyanin pigments. Grand Cru Genetics is a cannabis seed bank that emerged in 2018 from a group of breeders in Madrid to provide a satisfactory experience to all cannabis users. "If we do things, we do them well. Due to our experience in the sector and our taste for excellence, we know high quality and we seek it in everything we propose and do." "We have a “cultivate without giving up” philosophy that we apply to everything we do. We do not give up, we are friends of change, and we adapt as necessary in a still restricted sector." "We speak relaxed because we know how to relax. We are not intense or preachy; we accept everyone as they are, and we understand that farming is not for everyone. But for those who do, we are here to accompany you. We like to do it and tell it. We are experts in the field because we are the first to do it. We speak from experience and connect with others because we share the passion for cultivation." "Cannabis has the ability to show us a world of possibilities. When you cultivate and live its growth process, you enjoy a path full of emotions and not just the final destination. At Grand Cru we find beauty in small things. We are attentive, observant, detail-oriented and aware of everyday things, and we savor them without rushing." In a garden of green, Grape Guava gleams, With its fruity aroma, enchanting dreams. Clusters of grapes, guava's sweetness ignite, A strain so divine, in purple and white. Euphoria whispers, a lush fruity haze, Grape Guava's embrace, a tranquil daze. Off and away.@1400ppm. The increased CO2 allows plants to thrive at higher temperatures, which in turn necessitates higher humidity to maintain the ideal VPD for healthy growth and transpiration. 80F -5F = 75F LST with 70% RH = 0.72 kPa. Higher temperatures and humidity promote rapid growth, nutrient uptake, and photosynthesis while maintaining a lower stress level. Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. Enzymes, such as those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, work most efficiently at an optimal temperature range. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. In high temperatures, enzymes can become denatured, thus impairing their function and stopping the process of aerobic respiration. Glucose is the primary fuel for aerobic respiration. The rate of aerobic respiration increases with the availability of glucose, as it is the starting point for glycolysis. If glucose levels are low, cells may rely on alternative energy sources such as fatty acids or amino acids , but these processes may yield less ATP or be less efficient. To determine this effect, carbon dioxide volume was measured (as carbon dioxide is an output of aerobic respiration) 18/6 with the 6 being IR. The near infrared (IR-a) borders around 700nm up to 1400nm @ photon par flux density of 1.8 instead of darkness, keeping temps overnight a neat 77F-80F. I think of my tent as a lung. What goes in must come out. When the rate of air going out exceeds the amount of air coming in, it creates a negative pressure. Tent concaves (bends in). If set up correctly, the RH will begin to drop slowly to the desired level I set, and the extraction turns off when it reaches the desired RH. The plant, as it performs cellular respiration, will always release more water into the air; therefore, the RH% of the tent overnight will increase, as long as oxidative phosphorylation is occurring. As soon as the RH% creeps back up to 55%, the extraction turns back on, over and over. This creates a strong pressure differential, which will work wonders with mass flow. Replicating high and low-pressure fronts in nature. Critical for oxygen diffusion at the critical time of peak cellular respiratory function.. Moisture will not transfer from a saturated atmosphere to another if that air is already at or above its saturation point, meaning the air can't hold any more water vapor. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, and then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, results in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow more slowly to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments. Let's get Thiggy with it.

Stay tuned for the next update: The Germination Report. Let’s rise and shine, legends! 🌟 🌱 The Germination Report: A New Beginning for the Eternity Grow Cup 🌟 First and foremost, I want to wish the best of luck to all the participants in the Eternity Grow Cup. To our incredible hosts—Grow Diaries, Plagron, and Zamnesia—thank you for creating this phenomenal platform and competition. You’re elevating the craft, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of it! 💚 The Journey Begins: Germination Success! Every great grow starts with the perfect germination, and I’m excited to share how I kicked off this legendary adventure. Using my trusted CannaKan Germination Station, I started the Zamnesia Runtz seeds—my old favorite strain—with the hope of finding a pheno as extraordinary as the passion fruit treasure I once had. The Process: My Way to Germination Glory Remember, there’s no “one-size-fits-all” method in growing. What works best is what adapts to your environment. Here’s how I do it: 1. Choosing the Right Tools • I use the CannaKan Germination Station, a tool I trust for consistent results. • With cold temperatures in my setup, I relied on a heat mat to maintain warmth, though it was still a little nerve-wracking! 2. The 24-Hour Miracle • Within less than 24 hours, the seeds had already sprouted and were ready to move into their next home. Seeing that spark of life so quickly is always magical. 3. Moving to Soil • I carefully transplanted each seedling into tiny pots filled with Pro-Mix HP with Biofungicide and Mycorrhizae, which offers excellent aeration and support for root development. • Each pot was labeled Runtz #1–5, ensuring I can track every pheno individually as the journey unfolds. 4. Sprouting Against the Odds • Despite the cold temps, those little warriors jumped out of the soil within 48 hours! Their resilience and vigor have me beyond excited for what’s to come. Tips for Germination Success Here’s what I’ve learned to keep germination smooth: • Consistency is key: Whether it’s moisture, temperature, or light, try to create a stable environment for your seeds. • Gentle hands: Handle your seeds with care when moving them; they’re delicate at this stage. • Adapt to your environment: No method is universal—always tweak your process to fit your conditions. • Patience: Sometimes, seeds need a little extra time to sprout. Keep faith! Next Steps: The Adventure Awaits Now that the seedlings are up and thriving, it’s time to let the journey truly begin. I’ll be hunting for that passion-fruit-like pheno that captured my heart last time, but every seed holds the potential for greatness. For now, I’m keeping it simple: plain water, no nutrients—just letting them establish strong roots. Stay Tuned for the Magic This is only the beginning. I invite you to follow along on Instagram and YouTube, where I’ll be sharing photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes updates. Expect plenty of knowledge, tips, and excitement as we navigate this grow together. We’re now fully in production mode!🔥 The stretch is definitely done, and she’s putting all her energy into bud development. The trichomes are multiplying nicely, and the smell is becoming more and more intense, fresh lemon with a subtle sweet twist.🍋🍬 The bud structure is quite different from what I’m used to, more airy and elongated, kind of sativa-like. Curious to see how this one finishes up. Still healthy, still cruising, let’s see what next week brings!

Having quite a bit of trouble with fading leaves, burning and just can't figure out what is going on. I've top dressed on Saturday to try give her a boost, it looks like potassium deficiency but it also looks a touch like toxicity too... very confusing.... so what I'm going to do is just give water until the end now. 4 weeks ish should be ok and I reckon I can limp her home if shit hits the fan. Hoping its just deficiency and the top dress will fix it. I've not overfed with amendments so I don't understand it really. The buds are still growing no problem and calyx are starting to swell in places... all a bit weird.

I think about the fact that it is no longer necessary to cut leaves. I cut it a lot, but I notice that many people cut a bunch of leaves at one time, although somewhere I read no more than 10% at a time. When I gave fertilizers, I always diluted them with water even more to reduce ppm Day 68: I added cal-mag to the diet because the leaves are really turning yellow from the bottom. 0.5 ml Day 70: I added 1 ml cal-mag

Week 5: Transplant Time & Root Power! Oh man, this was one of those weeks! We transplanted all five phenos into bigger pots, and let me tell you, they’re thriving! (Check out the complete video episode for all the details 😉). The girls are looking amazing, all pretty much the same size for now, so I don’t have any favorites yet—but let’s see what the future holds! For photos, I used both my Nikon P900 and Sony A6000, with a bunch of lenses and filters to preserve the true colors—these LEDs are powerful! Current Setup & Conditions This week, they’re still chilling with their sisters in the big tent, but in about a week, they’ll be moving into the TrolMaster ecosystem for even better environmental control. Watering: pH 6.06, EC 0.96 Temperature: A bit cold , but it is what it is. We’re facing some freezing outdoor temps (as shown last week in the frosty veggie garden pics!), yet these Runtz are holding strong like true champions. 💪❄️ Nutrition: Still on the Aptus Clean Program, with: Regulator System Clean RO Water Conditioner All-in-One Liquid Root Development: The Real MVP! Let’s go deep on roots! The mycorrhizae in the Pro-Mix soil has been working its magic, and I’m still boosting them further with a touch of Aptus Holland Mycor Mix. The root development on this transplant was insane—super white, healthy, and ready to explode with growth. What Are Mycorrhizae? The word “mycorrhiza” comes from Greek: • Myco- meaning fungus • Rhiza- meaning root Mycorrhizae are a type of beneficial fungi that form a symbiotic (mutually beneficial) relationship with plant roots. These fungi extend far beyond the root zone, creating an underground network that helps plants absorb water, nutrients, and improve overall health. This is not a single species but rather a whole category of fungi, mainly divided into: 1. Ectomycorrhizae – Live on the outside of plant roots, forming a sheath around them. Common in trees like pines and oaks. 2. Endomycorrhizae (Arbuscular Mycorrhizae, AMF) – The most beneficial for most crops and cannabis. These penetrate root cells, forming structures inside the roots that exchange nutrients. Where Are Mycorrhizae Found in Nature? Mycorrhizae naturally occur in forests, grasslands, and undisturbed soils worldwide. They play a crucial role in maintaining ecosystem balance by helping plants access nutrients from the soil. In a natural environment, plants are constantly forming relationships with these fungi. However, in modern agriculture, excessive tilling, chemical fertilizers, and fungicides have reduced their populations, making supplementation necessary in many cases. How Do Mycorrhizae Work? Once mycorrhizae colonize a plant’s roots, they start forming an underground fungal network called the mycelium. This network extends the plant’s reach into the soil, acting as a second root system. Benefits of Mycorrhizae: ✅ Enhanced Nutrient Uptake – Mycorrhizae help plants absorb phosphorus, nitrogen, and micronutrients that would otherwise be unavailable. ✅ Improved Water Absorption – The fungal network can reach deeper into the soil than roots alone, helping plants survive drought conditions. ✅ Stronger, Healthier Roots – They promote thicker, more robust root systems, reducing transplant shock. ✅ Better Soil Structure – They produce glomalin, a protein that improves soil aggregation and helps retain moisture. ✅ Natural Pest & Disease Resistance – Healthy plants with strong mycorrhizal relationships tend to be more resistant to soil-borne pathogens. How Mycorrhizae Help in Cannabis & Gardening In controlled growing environments, using mycorrhizae is a game-changer. Since cannabis relies heavily on phosphorus, the enhanced nutrient uptake provided by mycorrhizae is especially beneficial. Best ways to apply mycorrhizae: • At transplant – Dust roots with mycorrhizae powder or mix into soil. • As a soil drench – Some liquid formulations allow fungi to colonize even after planting. • Mix into your growing medium – Using pre-amended soil like Pro-Mix HP Mycorrhizae ensures roots have early access. Pro Tip: Mycorrhizae need living roots to survive! Avoid using synthetic fungicides or excessive chemical fertilizers, as they can kill the fungi. Think of mycorrhizae as a natural root booster. They’ve been around for hundreds of millions of years, helping plants thrive in all conditions. By using them in cultivation, you’re mimicking nature, ensuring your plants grow stronger, healthier, and more resilient. When used correctly, mycorrhizae can increase yields, improve plant health, and reduce the need for synthetic inputs—making them a must-have for any serious grower! Can’t wait to see how they’ll look in the next transplant! I made a few changes to my improvised photo studio, including a pink background for now—because why not? Let’s keep things fun and full of color! 🌸📸 Massive gratitude to all our sponsors and of course, a special shoutout to Zamnesia, Plagron, and Grow Diaries for making this amazing cup happen. 🙌 And to the community—followers, supporters, lovers, haters—I love you all! ❤️ Let’s keep pushing forward, learning, and making this grow legendary!
