Durban Poison

Er i så færdig en kamp jeg har haft med denne her strain ! Først kæmpe ph chok, så bladlus, men hun rettet sig! Og kom sig rigtig godt igennem sit blomster stadie , specielt efter brug af plagron gødning skete der ting og sager! Glæder mig til at smage hende om et par uger:)

Decided to cut the Durban today. Easy to grow, no problems at all.

Update 22.11.2024 Da ich mir nun einen Vaporisator zugelegt habe, stelle ich fest, dass ich den Smoke Review ergänzen muss. Der Dampf bei ca. 190 ° C. riecht nach Kräutern, mit Anteilen von Weihrauch. Der Geschmack ist angenehm mild, wird mit der Erhöhung der Temperatur zum Ende hin bei 200° C. etwas schärfer und ähnelt der Kräutermischung "Kräuter der Provence". nur geringer. Wirkung: (Mit Vaporisator) Wirkung tritt ca. nach 5-10 Min ein, ist rein geistig und behindert nicht bei alltäglichen Dingen. Eine gewisse Unruhe kann eintreten, die zur Bewegung und Aktion auffordert. Die Wirkung klingt nach ca. zwei Stunden langsam aus. ------- Durban Poison ist eine leicht anzubauende Pflanze, von der ich nun dank der vielen Samen, die sie mir dank der regulären Males geschenkt hat, in der Lage bin, sie auch im nächsten Jahr auszusäen. Sie wächst mit starken Seitenästen kompakt aber gleichmäßig in die Höhe, wenn man sie lässt. Ihr Duft ist wirklich speziell, mit einem Hauch vom Moschus und Kümmel Glücklicherweise ist das in einem landwirtschaftlichen Mischgebiet nicht von Relevanz. ------- Update 22.11.2024 Der Duft ändert sich während der Lagerung. Der sehr starke, fast schon tierische Duft der grünen Pflanze geht in der Lagerung über zu süßlich, blumig mit Karamellnoten. ------- Bis gegen Ende hatte sie keine Probleme im Freiland. Dann jedoch konnte ich Raupen an ihr entdecken und erste Stellen von leichtem Schimmel. Die Raupen waren jedoch nur an den grünen Blättern zu finden. Auffällig an ihr ist, dass sie die Blüte komplett eingestellt hat. Das habe ich so noch nicht gesehen. Bei Durban Poison ist es von Vorteil, sie direkt nach der Ernte gut zu trimmen, dann ist der Endtrim sehr einfach und schnell erledigt. Die getrockneten Blüten haben noch etwas von der Würze im Duft behalten und die Blüten sind fest aber luftig. Eine sehr schöne Pflanze, die ich gerne wieder anbauen möchte. Die Wirkung ist eindeutig Sativa, ist nicht sehr stark, hält bei mir 1-2 Std. an, aber hält aktiv. Gut für Alltagsarbeit.

Gran planta que ha destacado en mi jardín de la alegría. una joya sudafricana que despierta todos mis los sentidos. Desde el principio ha sido una planta vigorosa y generosa, regalándome momentos sublimes de sus colas monstruosas cargadas de resina. Sus cogollos, densos y duros como rocas, están cubiertos de un manto de tricomas que brillan bajo la luz, como si estuvieran bañados en la escarcha de una mañana fresca. Al tacto, son una delicia esponjosa, pero lo suficientemente pegajosos como para recordarte la potencia que llevan dentro, además acompañados de una mezcla de intensos aromas que me transportan a un bosque húmedo tras la lluvia, donde el eucalipto perfuma el ambiente y una nota de especias picantes se enreda en el aire. El primer toque en la lengua ofrece un sabor terroso profundo, que evoca el olor de la tierra después de una tormenta, y un delicado matiz a hongos frescos que añade una capa umami inesperada pero exquisita. En definitiva, un cultivo excepcional donde casi he triplicado las previsiones de rendimiento del productor... repetiré!

Easy to grow, strong and resilient. This grow went very smoothly. If easy and low maintenance is something your looking for this is worth considering. Was able to take anything I threw out it and the better of the two plants I split the main stem when flipping to flower and setting up the scrog net. Was able to grow in both low and high humidity and could take dry periods without wilting. Structure is also very good for scrog. Clones very easy. Almost a perfect plant to grow in my opinion.

The variety is very strong, disappointed with a slow start, otherwise it went fine.For the entire period there were no problems with diseases.Dry weight is 59g.Odor intensity medium,the smell itself can be described as mango lying on the hot ground.Hopefully the scent will clear up in a couple of weeks.The effect is pleasant, very uplifting and does not cloud the head.Wet weight is not very accurate, because my drying method does not allow me to give more accurate information.See you later

Relatively easy plant to grow, didn’t want for much and drank everything a chucked at her. Harvested her a tad earlier than I wanted due to finding a small amount of bud rot.

She was a pleasure to grow, had no problems from start to finish, buds came out a bit airy after cure but smokes good

I must say this was an absolute dream from the start! Despite the conditions being a bit ruff and literally no ventilation the Durban seemed to thrive through it all. No mold, high temps at times and some early attack by bloody mites and after a harsh need session it really shone through. I've sampled some early chop haha and seems to be a strong up high with some giggly silliness in there. Definitely what I was looking for! More on both these lovely strains after some cure time Peace ✌️

Came and went as expected. Only 8 weeks in flower I could have let it go on longer but the next cycle needs to move forward and we just had a baby and this is the only chance I have is tonight before work starts back. Will still be decent smoke just not max potential wieght although buds are slumped over from their weight.

wasn't able to stay consistent with documenting this grow. good sativa high. great for stimulating conversion and laughter the only downside I have is the size of lady. only got about 50g dried.

Everything was going great. Except my veg tent was completely overgrown and my perpetual cycle needed to move forward. Also i noticed a couple spots where it started to create a couple seeds probably from when the other durban temporarily hermied. Either way I could have gotten a better yield if I waited but plain and simple I didn't.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet as the flower is curing and the extract I have made from fresh chopped is still in the diamond miner. I initially chopped 11 colas and was able to fill a 3/4 pound extractor, and the amount of thca in it must be really high as shown in a picture, theres about a 1/2" layer of it crystallizing in a small 3" wide jar. Very happy with the extraction and hope to be happy with the flower once its dried. It has a good smell, fresh and dank, but doesn't quite capture a true Durban Poison. Perhaps these two plants are the skunk pheno of the cross Nirvana has. I should have done more research on these genetics, as this is more of an American Durban, and not a true land race Durban as evidenced by the structure of the plant. Next run of Durban will be something directly from South Africa instead of the dutch or american crossed version, not too happy about these genetics, at all.

Too bad the batch got impregnated by some hermi action. Still with a little sifting the bud is a tasty high. Very resinous buds. Smell tarry. Great success however seeing the light of indoor gardening.

Durban poison is a nice smoke! Very sticky, sparkly buds that smell citrusy and sweet when ground up. Earthy and peppery when smoked, they leave a bit of dank sweetness behind. Be warned that the first few hits will surprise you with their intensity. The high brings about a feeling of extra in all the senses, for example things around you are extra loud, extra bright or extra smelly. If not prepared, there could be a little jittery feeling that can cause paranoid feelings momentarily. It then settles into a clear and energetic buzz that makes tasks and chores more easily accomplished. As the high wears off, there’s no crash, just a leveling off. Definitely a daytime smoke, I highly recommend it! I am going to grow it again and see if I can cause less problems this time. 👍

I really like this one, and will do more. My dry ended up being to about 55% and about 18 days which is lower than I really wanted, but it cured just fine. Reports from friends is that this is came out pretty top shelf. I lost one big bud to some mold/rot, but that was the only downer. I don't find this 'speedy' so much as just not sleepy...It doesn't make my eyes want to close themselves but I don't know about any bad side effects. I can't feel any. Buds grew solid and tight and they definitely were heavily resinated.
