Purple lemonade by FastBuds in Hempy

UPDATE - MONDAY 12th All has gone almost suspiciously well with the germination and continuing growing on in mini hempy buckets. They are probably around 1L so it doesn't take them long to fill up and then get transplanted to the 11's. Depending on how long I have before goin into flower they, hopefully, will be able to go a size bigger. I'm just going to buy normal , huge flower pots from home b'gains as sometimes they don't drill out the holes on the bottom on the pots and they sell huge ones that I used for my critical orange punch. Of course I will be turning whatever I end up with into a hempy bucket. With regards to hemlines,if anyone out there is preppi one. I wouldn't go with perlite in the reservoir, I would ersonapky use clay balls meant for hydro. Firstly there is more space between the particles therefore more water available to the plant and secondly, with the second banana blaze auto, it started going all weird so I pulled it out, emptied it and discovered the perlite at the bottom was rotten and smelled awefull. Whereas iv never had a problem with the clay balls.

Update- Thurs 15th April Been a good week. Don’t know if it’s actually been a full week but by the time I go back again it certainly will make it so thought I’d update. This is the strain I’m most pumped about. This is one of the ones I REALLY wanted as purple bud is super good for my condition for some reason. It just seems to have a punch to it I don’t get from green weed. Sedation... Update - wed 21st april Been a good week. Things are a little hectic as I kind of over estimated the size of the pots I bought but it’s ok because that along with several other factors have inspired me to build me own grow room. I will be doing as little as possible as usual.

Update - Friday 30th April Hi everyone! The weeks been ok, just keep on vegging! I found space for the purple lemonade in another 25l square hempy. I decided to put one of the P. lemonade plants into a huge container because fast buds say they can grow huge and therefore I thought I would give it every chance. It’s the strain I wanted to grow the most so I therefore want it, alongside one of the lemon Pie Auto’s!

Update - wed 5th May All is going good at the moment. It’s a lot of work having so many different plants at different feeding regimes. More so because they are all different strains as well as the fact as I have three seperate areas lol I’m looking into making a wood stud wall frame to run between the tents. Then I can hang a few layers of that white on one side and black on the other plastic shiny material for that wall only as I can slice a doorway in through all the layers at different points to cut down on light leakage. I also need to get Allen keys or nuts and bolts to hold together the light frame. I decided I’m going to split it into two 240w drivers instead of one 480. Purely because it’s less investment at a time. It works out more expensive but I think it’s worth it coz I can’t save for shit!

Update - Tuesday 20th May Ok so it’s been a strange week coz I haven’t really been there that much. Iv been going every 2 days as usual but haven’t been staying over so it’s harder to tell what’s going on! Oh well, I imagine I will be moving back there full time pretty soon anyway. Oh shit I need to change it to flower now coz there are pre-flowers on the P. Punch Auto now so it may not be the biggest plant in the world, but we knew that anyway. It’s way more spread out than the lemon pie cultivar next to it but I think part of that is to do with the way I’m still getting used to training and mainlining and all that HST good shit. To be honest, I have been treating these like photo’s in terms of how They’ve been repotted (didn’t stunt them or slow them down) They look exactly the same size as the last batch of autos did at this stage so I’m probably hitting the max from the 11L pots. I’ll be interested to see what happens with the 25l ones though! When I say pre-flowering there are literally two white hairs coming out of each node. Lol it’s not magically grown to a beast! The amount of water is an estimate, as is quite a few of the other measurements actually. I tend to go by how the plant looks! Got a little confused with my photos so it’s best for me to either upload straight away or come up with a system of how I take them and do it the same every time separated by a photo with the lens covered. Then I know iv moved onto the next plant….

Update - Sunday 23rd May All good, this week. These are just all the pictures from that whole Tent. They went into flower at the same time regardless of the fact they are a diff strain - completely. That was very useful but the left plant(lemon pie) is smaller and has stretched less so far than the one on the right (purple Lemonade) but both look very healthy. I want to stress that the nutrient amounts there aren't exact. To water my plants, I have a 5L watering can I dip into the reservoir to measure 5L so sometimes it’ll be a little more than 5l making the mixture a little weak and some days it’ll be too strong but it all works out with microbes. I think they are right (whatever is in the mixture I make up is certainly right…so doesn’t really matter does it. ) I’m tired as Iv been harvesting the auto banana blaze by Dutch Passion. I

This is really week 7 and 8 and I’m filling in and taking photos of 9 now. So will mark as week 8. Listen, I grow weed for mental health issues and every now and then it flairs up and I’m unable to do ANYTHING for my grow so it kind of is what it is. I’ll ALWAYS POST end pot duct and I only missed a few days here so no worse than me being away but obviously coco and hot weather doesn’t mix. I added water for a while just to lower the ec as it would obviously get hella salty from the ions and drying out. So Iv lost a lot of mass. Oh well, again the terps are there. I’m gonna run it extra time. I would say they are consistently conservative with their grow time recordings but that’s just me and I do grow big ass plants!

Update - Friday 11th June All is good with this but I must admit I am a little disappointed with the yield as so far. I’m probably just being impatient and have thought this a lot. Iv just been tying down branches when they get too tall so that it’s a level canopy. The lemon pie auto seems to be fattening up a little more than the pink lemonade or purple lemonade what the fuck it’s called! I’m a bit disappointed about the colour of it. The fastberry was WAAAY more colourful, however, it is HOT at the moment and there isn’t really a way to cool it at night to bring out the colours. I think I’ll try growing this strain again in the winter to compare notes. I didn’t really tie down the Fastberry when I grew it. I wish I had done what iv done ever since the banana blaze auto by Dutch passion. I just literally drill holes all the way around the top of my pots and use short bits of gardening wire to secure the branches to the same height. This also helps with air flow. I am glad that I didn’t put three plants in there and I’m also not surprised they are going over the fastbuds estimate for how long it takes to grow. The smell is incredible though I must admit. Incredibly lemony with a sharpness that I hope stays there when it’s dried, cured, vaped and in my blood stream attatched to my cannabinoid receptors! I think another week or two and bingo! That’ll be cut, dry and cure time. I should probably start some new seeds soon but I don’t want to start them too soon. I have loads of that banana blaze left atm. Whatever what harvested from these 5 plants I have flowering at the moment is a simple bonus. I think I’m near reaching the stage of self sufficiency with regards to my cannabis medication. It’s interesting that your perspective changes due to how many jars are full with nicely curing and cured weed! It’s just a luxury not that many people talk about if they even grow themselves. That’s why I love this community.

Week 10 - Fastbuds plants always seem to run over their advertised plant life but hey the amount of trichs on all of these buds is crazy. I would rather have slightly less bud and it be really high quality than less and it be shit brick weed. Iv grown this purple plant in the middle of a heatwave so it’s not a massive surprise to me it’s not completely purple as it didn’t get the cold nights. I’ll probably run it for another week or two and then chop de chop! I’m awaiting some more seeds from fast buds to test.

Update - Tuesday 22nd June To be honest this week hasn’t gone great. I noticed some fruit flies or fungus gnats. There are only a few and they don’t seem to be attracted to the buds at all. None the less for the moment I have put some cider vinegar, soap and water and put t in as wide a surface area as possible and there are quite a few stuck in there after a day. Iv also ordered some of those sticky traps to put around the edge of the pot. Luckily I’m getting rid of my media, the tent, everything inside the tent and will be using a paint spray gun to spray ozonated water or if it’s really expensive then just hydro strength hydro peroxide will be used to spray all surfaces of the room.

Update - 4th July 2021 Just still flushing away. The colours that are coming out are crazy. I have edited some pics but not videos and the videos dont really pick up the colour. Its strange that it started completely green and then went darker and darker until it reached purple buds covered in trichomes. I am planning on harvesting both this plant and the purple punch today or tomorrow depending on when i can be bothered lol Tbh, its not hard because i dry trim so it's just a case of plucking off the fan leaves and hanging it in different branches.

HARVEST - This is my actual harvest. I have more photos to come and am trying to get grow diaries to change the accidental harvest date to this week. I have lots of photos from my D-SLR. I got a new lens today so yeah. Should be some great pics after editing! Total Wet Yield was well over 600g but the trunk was CHUNKY on this plant and I only have flat digital kitchen scales or a pair of those small ones for doing grams and eights etc. I basically couldn't find a clean pot/tub in my kitchen to put on the scales before I put the Bush on! I'm expecting a yield similar to that of the banana blaze with a little stronger effect given about 1/3 of it was grown under what I thought were three 100w LED's, however, I bought myself a wattage tester just 9ut of curiosity and it shows it runs at half of what was advertised. The only ones that have been accurate are my Mars Hydro lamps so far. I'm not surprised to be honest and apparently according to YouTube even they have only just stopped lying! So iv gone from doing 3 plants under 150w and then towards the end I recievd my TSL-2000 (Which is a 300w light with a dimmer that goes down to, I believe, 20%) The main reason for this light is that It's actually made for tents on the size I'm using. Iv also been improving my photography equipment bit by bit so I have a nice fixed focal 50mm/ f1.8 and am waiting for a set of extension tubes so I can use it for macro shots without having to get close!

I accidentally hit ther harvest button and i cant delete the week because it's apparently its in a competition. i have no recolection of doing this but i have a feeling i mixed it up with my lemon pie auto diary. (has since been fixed by the great GrowDiaries team - Thankyou so much! Just found a load of video so im just sorting throiugh them and will load any relevent ones on - lol nope not really aything relevent there for this! Who says you can’t transplant autos? I transplanted 3x from small hempy bucket to a 5l and then to a 25l square hempy, however, it’s a trade off between being slow to prep nutes (for me at least) and quality of strength vs not having to worry about light leaks! Also the strength, size and resilience of autoflowers has come A LONG way with certain specific breeders. Fastbuds being one of them! This is the nicest smelling of them all so far. Also the biggget harvest. Winner
