A pleasure to grow for a first timer. Had some slight nutrient issues but think that was all down to myself being a bit shy with her and not wanting to cause any over feeding issues. Growing two of the same strain and this one is tall and slim, where as her sister who is still growing is short and fat. Donโ€™t know what to put that down to.

So todayโ€™s the day I did my first weed harvest. Never thought I could feel such emotions over a plant but Iโ€™ve spent a lot of time with her over the last few months. Hopefully Iโ€™ve done her proud. I planned on doing a dry trim so I took off all the bigger fan leaves to start. I noticed a lot of the fan leaves had some trichs around the base so I kept these. I donโ€™t know if you would class them as sugar leaves but I am going to try and make some tea from them. In my drying cabinet the average rh% is about 75 so Iโ€™m running a small dehumidifier which is bringing it down to about 65% which I think is a bit above the ideal. Itโ€™s been hot today and temp in cabinet is around 25 degrees C but due to be cooler from tomorrow. Anyway Iโ€™m off for a cup of tea, I will update with effects and dry weights over the next few days. Update** So eddy 2 has been drying for 8 days, and sheโ€™s now trimmed and in jars. To be honest I found her a pain in the ass to trim there was a lot of long spindly buds (I would say airy) so the trim pile is pretty big with a mix of sugar leaves and airy buds. Itโ€™s not a problem as Iโ€™m definitely going to make some edibles so itโ€™s all good for that. Iโ€™m still really pleased with the amount I got off of her and if her sister produces the same I will be over the moon! Eddy 2 weights (harvest day 82) Wet - 623g Dry Buds - bang on 100g Dry trim - 51g Eddy 1 weights (harvested day 97) Wet - 496g Smoke Report; Full disclosure I havenโ€™t smoked weed for 20 years and even when I did it was only now and again at parties. I also donโ€™t smoke. Iโ€™ve had anxiety and depression since I was a kid and Iโ€™ve been on all sorts of pills to try and help it. After doing some research on CBD and THC I thought I would give it a go! Iโ€™m also looking to cut down my alcohol intake and Iโ€™m really hoping this is a new way to relax and get that buzz on a Friday/Saturday night. I donโ€™t want to smoke it so Iโ€™m going to get a dry herb vape Iโ€™m just waiting for it to be delivered. So here goes: The tea was a bust! Well unless you like lemony butter water. I donโ€™t think there was anywhere near enough of the good stuff as I didnโ€™t feel a thing. Still no vape so I bought a cheap bong. FML I think I coughed up a lung ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ definitely got a buzz but I couldnโ€™t enjoy it as my fucking throat was on fire for hours! STILL no vape so I made one. And thatโ€™s more like it. Tasty cool vapour and a nice relaxing buzz after. I didnโ€™t have too much (about 3 hits) as I know Iโ€™m a lightweight. For the first 30 minutes or so I was light headed and happy (like after your first couple beers after a long day). Then I felt my body physically relaxing and I just chilled on the sofa for a couple hours watching tv. I went straight to sleep when I got to bed (which never happens) and I had a great nights sleep. Only downside was a headache in the morning but could put that down to many things and it was gone after a coffee

Grow Questions

Should I up the nutes? Iโ€™ve been feeding 1/4 amount for the last 3 feeds. Iโ€™ve read that after first week of 1/4 up it to 1/2, but from what I can see (foliage pic added) everything looks like itโ€™s quite healthy. Will plant benefit with more or should I stay as I am? Cheers

Hi mate, your plant looks really healthy so I would hold of just now. Soil growing is very forgiving so you'll see issues straight away. I'd wait till she had grown a little before increasing nutrients. By that time you may be in flower so it works out. Good luck and happy growing.

Hi, I have broken the main stem on a fast eddy automatic while doing LST. I only noticed it this morning after LST yesterday. The tip of the stem and all leaves after the break seem to have bounced back up to the light since yesterday. will she be ok? Anything I can do to help?

If you are happy with the direction your plant is growing, just leave as it is, it will be fine and grow normally despite the fractured stem. There is no need to bandage the fracture in any way - covering it with something is more likely to induce a mould or fungus to attack the break. Leave it to air dry and it will heal over with a crust and be perfectly fine. Trying to move it after leaving it for so long will likely cause more damage and is not recommended. If this happens again in the future, using a splint attached with some soft wire or string above and below the break, and put in place within a few minutes of the break occurring can result in the break healing completely, allowing you to remove the splint after 2-3 weeks, checking that the stem can hold the weight before removing the splint entirely. A bamboo stake, skewer or wooded stick all make good splints, but once again, make sure not to cover the fracture when tying on the splint, the fracture needs to air dry and heal. I keep a selection of dried and various lengths and thicknesses of cannabis stems/branches from previous harvests for use as splints, should I have a need to use them in future grows. It is then simply matching the old stem size to the size of the fractured stem/branch. High stress training can involve snapping stems and is very similar to fractures, and the plants do not seem to suffer in any way from this technique. Cannabis is a remarkably resilient plant and I have had tree branches fall on outdoor plants, doing many fractures and much damage, but after removing the tree branches and allowing a couple of days for the cannabis plant to sort itself out, have had them then grow and flower as though nothing ever happened to them at all. Hope this helps,............ Organoman.

Hi all, noticed some brown spots on leaves, from google images Iโ€™m assuming cal/mag deficiency. Anyone able to confirm or advise on what it is before their next feed? Cheers

The two curling leaves in the bottom picture look like there is a hotspot. If itโ€™s the plant the cfl light was on itโ€™s probably just a little light bleach. You usually want them like 4-6โ€ from leaf. Happy growing looking good!

Can anyone give me a clue as to why the leaves on my fast eddy are going this colour, sheโ€™s fed every 2 days with tri part nutes. At 1/2 the recommended dosage. Guessing sheโ€™s got about 2 weeks until I start to flush her. Thanks

I would be tempted to alter your feed to grow 0ml/L Micro 0.7ml/L Bloom 1.4ml/L Cal Mag 0.5ml/L You prob have a few weeks left till you start flushing, your plant will be taking nutrition away from the big leaves at this stage. When they start looking bad like that I tend to remove them to allow light to lower parts. The reason I say change your feed to above is to lower N and increase P and K

Are these buds likely to fatten up? Looking very long and spindly. Photos are day 66 of an expected 84 (?) grow. Main cola tip starting to get amber trichs. Is this fox tailing?

Looks like one of those strains that just builds fat calyxes on top of each other in a fashion that is similar to fox tailing Looks like everything is in order tho. It should pack on some more weight for sure.. but I wouldnโ€™t expect anything like double or triple size at this point

Hey man. Nice plants ๐Ÿ˜„ To me, purple stems and yellowing leaves means MG deficiency. I would treat this by watering with Epsom salts at 1 teaspoon per litre. Sometimes cal-mag can cause more harm than good. If you don't have a calcium deficiency then you will end up with a calcium excess which locks out magnesium. There is no such thing as a cal-mag deficiency - they are two different elements and it is easier to treat them separately. Hope this helps, and good luck with the project ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

@GhettoSetUp, thanks for that mate. Would you carry on using cal mag then add Epsom salt as an extra on top of that? Appreciate the help.
