Blue Moonshine Seed Project

These regular seeds came from badfishbeanco. I believe these to be a BX2 of the original DJ Shorts Blue Moonshine. So far there has been some pretty wild variation between the two females out of the 5 seeds that popped. The other 3 were males and 2 were kinda mutant like so they got tossed. The third male is my P2. Very Vigorous little guy if I feed him. One of the two females(P1) was smaller and runty and harvested very early. The flavor on that plant is unbeatable. Spicy sweet blueberry earthy hash flavor. Takes me right back to rollin up the 101 in a microbus in mmmmmm like 92? Good Times. Smells of both ladies are super unique! This is where they don't differ. Both smell like fermenting blueberries and until you smell it you have no idea what I am talking about lol. But it is AWESOME. The bigger lady accidentally lost her tuck and her nuts fell out. Had to let it/they/them go. This diary will document the collection of seed from my first crosses: Bruce Banner #1(Stacy) x Blue Moonshine(flavor line), Bruce Banner #9 x Blue Moonshine(Resin line), and Gold Leaf x Blue Moonshine(Preservation line). The crosses were done in my BadFishBeanCo Blue Moonshine Diary. Also in this Diary I will be making clones of My chosen female Blue Moonshine(P1) and crossing x Male Blue Moonshine(P2)

Plants I believe this stock to be BX2 of original DJ Short Blue moonshine. BM1 is my designated P1. It was my most vigorous male out of three. BM5 is the most delicious thing I have ever grown. I call her True blue. It is a blueberry leaning pheno in structure. Branches full of tightly spaced chunky nugs. SUPER Resinous. The flavor on this lady leans way toward earthy and hashy smothered with blueberry syrup. BM2 is no more, but was my other female/it/they/them. Very traditional blue moonshine structure (think hash plant) Her flavor was straight blue moonshine, however she hermied. I cried a little. Cannot use this for breeding. BM3 and 4 were mutant males. Both were discarded. Seeds Preservationn line: BM1 x Gold Leaf. I chose this cross because I think the growth characteristics are similar and that the flavor characteristics will hopefully not change the blue moonshine. This Gold Leaf is hardy. I am looking to cross this back into Blue Moonshine to reintroduce some vigor, but ultimately I am looking for the flavor of the BM #5 with increased vigor. Resin Line: BM1 x Bruce Banner (#9) This is my most resinous and potent Bruce banner of 10 I have hunted. Goals with this line are resin production. Flavorwise, I will not be too picky, but I would like it to lean toward Blue Moonshine. However, I expect the bruce to impart some flavor characteristics. Flavor Line: BM1 x Bruce Banner (#1) This is my favorite flavored bruce pheno of my hunt. It is a VERY heavy citrus earthy flavor that lingers for 5 minutes in your sinuses. It does not have the heavy diesel, hoppy, or chemical flavors that many of the other phenos shared. I'm not really sure what I am looking for in this cross. I am looking for a flavor, but not really sure what it is. I just imagine the clash of these two flavor superpowers should be very interesting. The two live plants are my Blue moonshine daddy and a re-veged lady that I will use as my baseline. I will cross these two as well as all of the above three lines back through this lady and depending on results potentially those 3 with the daddy too.

Almost ready to let these two do the nasty. I might do a spacebucket iso chamber for the dude. I am SUPER excited that the #5 came back so strong. I LOVE THIS WEED!!!!!!

This is my first re-veg. She5F really bushed out and is super healthy going back in. Before I cleaned her5F up(pics coming), I took the 5 healthiest tops and they are raging! new method is: 1 Fill small pot with FFOF and water thoroughly. 2 Dibble a hole. I use fiskars trimming scissors blades as a depth. Sprinkle in 1/4 tsp MYKOS. 3 Cut a 2.5-3" stalk, leave only the top leaves. 4 cut end at 45 degrees, dip in clonex(or your selection of gel) and push stem lightly into the soil at the bottom of your dibble hole. 5 water gently. Your soil will now be wet for a week so no watering will be necessary unless you see bad wilting. If that happens, just water VERY lightly at the base of the stem. Additionally, you can spray with some foliar. The clones I have done this way so far, are growing new growth in 5 days. If necessary I fertilize with 6tsp Big Bloom, 1 microbe, .5 kangaroots, .5 boomerang. They should be ready to transplant in a few weeks. Momma5F went in to flower for her second time. I have never flowered a plant twice before, so this is all really cool to me. This is an especailly important project for me. This lady5F is the flavor/potency I searched 2 years for DEAD ON!!!! Then her clone died. Well gratefully, I didn't lose her after all :). Mid August, I will build a space bucket iso-chamber for the male1M. I have the parts already, just need to do the construction. 2 weeks into his1M flowering or so I will flip the 5 ladies.5F One of the five5F will be reversed to pollinate a second5F to create some S1 seed. One5F will be pollinated with the male1M. 2 5F will be Sensi. At that point, is where the real science begins. The F1 seeds ready to plant now are two different Bruce Banner phenos x Blue Moonshine1M and a Gold Leaf x Blue Moonshine1M Added to the mix when I'm finished will me Blue Moonshine IBL Reg seed. and some Blue Moonshine S1 feminized seeds. So much fun!!!!!

Started her on full strength nutrients and flipped her to 12/12 She was happy with the slightly reduced nutrient schedule last week, so I assume she's ready to bust. Added a pic of her flower in a pipe. Smokin her dreamin of harvest day.

Sooooo many tops. She is really filling in. I am fertilizing fairly heavily, every 2nd watering. Super excited about this one!!!!!! Look at the trichs!!!! still 4 weeks of flowering to go! OMG it's gonna be soooooo white!

I already know what is coming with this lady and oh man, I cannot fucking wait! It's a very slow grower and stays short and bushy. It flowers fairly vigorously, but it's at best a medium harvester. The quality of the smoke from this lady is unmatched in my opinion.

She's getting a lot of red stigmas and resin is so thick, branches are falling down. I am wondering if I should defoliate in the middle a little to reduce the risk of mold. The stink on this one is like fresh blueberries covered in spicy earthiness. The sweetness is powerful though. I don't expect to harvest much off of her, but It's a whole lot better than the first run. I will keep working with this one until I get it right. Pictures do the trichs no justice. This thing is absolutely smothered. Last time I did this one, I harvested early at 56 days to re-veg. This lady is maturing VERY quickly on her 2nd flower. I think she's gonna come down at 45-50 days. That's right on track with DJ shorts original Blue moonshine which was advertised with a flowering time of 45-55 days. Just another confirmation(as if I needed one) that this seed is Legit and BadFishBeanCo is the fuckin shiz!!!!

She was lookin ready on day 42. I don't see a lot of amber in the trichs, but I don't see much clear either. She was getting unruly, there is risk of mold, I need the room, and I have 5 clones of her... so down she goes. There will be a 3rd diary of this strain where I will turn one male and self pollinate another of said clones. Did I mention that I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!? Happy harvests friends!
