June 25th - morning rain is sending that kelp meal into battle. - plant is progressing nicely with good solid growth Everywhere 27th, day after a huge rain system moved through, all looks well with some serious growth happening and a smell is starting to lift from the plant now. 28th - overnite downpour ruled out any watering needs this week ! - solid visible Vertical growth and a real change in the outward appararance. Its becoming an actual Bush. - more Rain called for tonight & in the morn 29th, tied one of the main branches off to the cage and have wrapped it around a post to take-up some of the long branch. Its got unlimited space to grow, but it simply looked like it was “taking-off” compared to the rest of the topped branches. This is the one of eight, I did not top. ( it was not topped when the others were because this was the only branch where the bud-sites on either side if the branch had become seperated and staggered at this particular Node and were not beside each other. This branch had already established these , so i left it alone. This is the now-wrapped branch. Only one ) - Foliar spray applied in the shade, hours b4 sunlight & heat - plant hit 16” today - removed 6 big Fan leaves to allow more light 30th - how do you say… rain all nite, and today… more rain! July 1st, - nothing but growth, thinned a few leaves and Damn, there is a whole bunch of beautiful branches growing from this Jack Herer bush. -last day of this 10th week, huge amount of rain, and another 2” of growth since 29th; now @ 18”

Grow Questions

I began working towards a 16 cola plant, topping as required and made a beautiful plant. As it has been moved outside and allowed to expand outwards and now upwards, “Are the new shoots in the Middle, stealing NRG from the Colas?”

Well they are and they are not. With a wide canopy like yours, it is going to fill out the middle. Just select tiny branches from the underside for pruning if you really want them out. But since you are growing outdoor, and doing fine with it, I would leave them to grow fuller and when close to flowering, make a final selection based on sundirection (so branches to the north). I ve had good results outdoor, by pushing the plant 45 degrees towards north, which creates a canopy like bush facing south, your setup is ideal when growlights are directly above. You will still have great results, I think the middle ranches will give you more than the branches towards north! Good luck and hope for a warm summer!

Root growth and root ball development are critical parts of any Grow ! Understood But WHEN do we taper or remove it from the routine? Heading into the last weeks of flower each time I find myself asking about it… So hear goes….. When do we stop adding root boosters?

You give it the entire grow, then stop for ripening and flush. So you could stop anywhere from 4-2 weeks before harvest. Really it's up to you.

@1Right_Angle, you to. I hope it works for you well. If not then I am stumped. It is a experiment that does not have any negative effects. Maybe a bit more messy. Good luck my friend 👍

@1Right_Angle, just make sure buds are not bunched when hanging. I do harvest videos on my diaries. Also on my YouTube. Can see exactly how I go about it if your curious. It is worth a try. But I never have a problem with a good smell.

@deFharo, i agree 100%. Its the first time I had a real application for it. Its a sturdy one and it can be “shaped” or even made oblong, to fit the Hubs shape… Have fun with that. Thanks Man

@blendmedme Red Congo has long been a Fav. Its been my love of Landrace that has me sniffing deeper into African strains. “Congo”, I have not experienced. Lots yet to be learned.

@blendmedmedman, this has been an interesting grow; 1st Topping. Congo & Natural Mystic are getting topped into similar positions

I am sorry to hear that, mate ;( Your misfortune only confirms what I was thinking about recently, which is about buying a Doberman pinscher puppy. One thing is the most faithful friend in life, two this breed is very alerted by nature and I already have some experience with pinschers. They leave no compromise for someone who wants to endanger your safety, your family safety and safety of your property. They are very intelligent dogs and the mere knowledge that you have such a friend will scare off amateurs of someone else's property. If not then they will be very surprised in the process... 👊💪😎

1Right_Anglecommented3 years ago
@CrazyHorse, i wish I could, and again I should not have to. At my end its a corner lot with quite a bit of visibility, plain and simple. Moves have been made, other bush’s blocking sight-lines… and fence is out. I’m chocking this one up to stupid teenagers who don’t know whats hapnin. Complete waste. Fence around the Plant… was in progress!! Thanks for a sure-fire remedy
