Jamminbear 5/13/18 -Starting my Journal out at day 46.. My first grow.. please apologies for newbish experience. She was under window and small florescent night for several weeks. Started a 315w Grower choice CMH on 4k blub.. Light makes a difference as she is actually growing now. lol .. I transplanted her to a 3 gallon container using TLO (True living organics by the Rev)
Layered bottom with super soil, Middle layer - 420 recipe/Worm casting/bio char/Perlite/Bu blend Mailibu compost, top layer -super soil
Plant looking good no signs of distress after 12 hours from transplanting.
5/14/18- Top her at the Fifth node and did some LST on her... Hopefully i didn't ruin her.. yikes. Will update on how she looks in a couple days. Temp 71/71.. Humidity staying over 50.. Still debating on getting a humidifier.
5/15/18- No significant stress after topping and LST
5/16/18-Plant looks healthy .. Might have messed up the LST training.. She looks all contorted and droopy.. Hopefully she looks better in the morning.. ( Learn not to undo LST and re-do LST today) lol.. But she looks green and healthy..
5/17/18- No signs of distress after topping..Slurry TEst .. Ph 6.2 and PPM 323
5/18/18-We cool
Hi,
I'd wait till you see a few more nodes and a bit more growth so you have something to LST. You can 'top' for increased yield if this is something you want.
A few others you can do is;
FIM
Supercrop
But i'd wait till you get a bit more growth, also when flipping to flower when you decide too, you can defoliate the big fan leaves blocking the bud sites. But don't go overboard, after the 3rd week in flower the stretch and new growth of fan leaves being produced stops. If you're struggling have a look at my diaries and see the effects LST, TOPPING has as there is before and after pictures. Any questions, message me and i'll help you along. Hope this helps. Nice looking plant so far too. Goodluck
Jamminbear 5/20/18- Water with Herculean Harvest with Olympus up. ( 1ml per gallon on Olympus up..) Some dark brown spots on two big fan leaves.. Plant looks pretty healthy overall
Compost Tea -boogie brew 1 to 5 ratio. Move the light closer to 32 inches
5/22/18-No significant issues- a couple of leaves show yellowing and brownish..
5/28/18-Top again the two main stems.. Did some more LST training

6/18/18- Water full of nutrients and ph to 6.8
6/21/18- Added a metal scrogg-woot woot and definiitly need water
Anyone have good experience with cover crops such as Alfafa?. How does the nitrogen fixing work? When is it good time to use cover crops? Any specific cover crops you recommend for pest and helping the health of the plant overall.,.
Clover, rye, mustard, beans, kale, are all marvelous ways to set up a cover-crop. Those plants (especially beans, clover, and rye) sequester nitrogen into the soil for your cannabis plants to use later. You can use cover-crops whenever you want. To be really effective, it should remain in place for months/years. Hope this helps, keep us up-to-date and happy growing!
Jamminbear Week 14- She grew way to big for my closet.. Had to transfer it outside this week.. A lot of stretching.. Broke a couple of stems while transporting... She is getting 14 hours of sun now...

Jamminbear 7/12/18- Week 15 1/2 strength nutrients. She got too big for my closet and now she has been outside for 1 week.. So she has been flowering for 4 weeks and now she is getting about 14 hours of sun.. *dont let your plants get to stretchy.. had to tie her up to the poles. but overall she is looking healthy
Hello @Jamminbear !I don;t think there is any brand that sells compost teas ( unless you mean bacteria products like tarantula from AN ) but even if you know any i would advise not to buy it. Compost teas need to applied fresh. There are plenty recipes online . What you need to take care is to give the right amount of air when you make it. The rule of thumb is 1-2 liters of air per minute for every liter of tea that you are going to make. So if you want to make 4 liters of tea you should use an air pump with 4-8 L/min. After i brew my tea i dilute it 3 times and then i use it. I use it at flowering stage around 3 times 12-18 days apart. Happy growing ! 👊
You could do your own, but sometimes thats easier said than done. Like mentioned the extreme is a good brand, theres also Nectar for the Gods: Pegasus potion. Also remember that usually to get the best benefits of a "compost tea" not a "nutrient tea" you'll want to somewhat aerated into your soil. Usually every 7-10 days you would do a tea. P.S. as a tea adds to the microbe community in your soil, it can be good to add a little molasses to watering schedule as it gives them something to feed off.
Best of luck.
Extreme gardening - extreme tea all the way man. Easy to brew hassle free works perfectly. And for what it is good cost. The full extreme gardening line (or at least) Mykos, azos and teas are a must in any organic garden. Peace

@GuerillaPL86 You think Humidifier would work. I am growing out of my closet ( my clothes is still one half of the closet space. lol.. Hoping to veg enough so i can transplant it outdoors..
@GuerillaPL86,
I got to excited about growing..My first grow. in retrospect i should have done it a little later.. Learning soo much though. Got my first clone beginning of April. Popped a couple of seeds in early April as well. I live in California, the San Franciso bay.. Yeah, we have this thing in the Bay where we tend to warm up late May and all the way to November.
@Jamminbear,
Where do you live man :P It's May...even warm in Poland and outoor season started
Well 70F during day is a minimum at daytime
50F at night is way to cold
Outdoor time in Poland:
Daytime temp- 18-31*C
Nighttime temp- 13-23*C
So in your situation you are right to wait :) You need to plan in advance and don't start off to soon with seedlings for outdoor
She will grow BIG as hell outdoors...
@GuerillaPL86, i was going to wait another month to transplant her outside.. it has been around 70 degrees with lows in 50s to transplant her outside. Still a little to cold outside i think?

Morning, you could definitely top that pretty lady now if you haven't already. She's got at least 6 open big leaves from what I see at the above view. Maybe start the lst after she gets comfortable from the topping. In like a week or so?
Happy growing.
Love this plant !!! 😍 😍 Nice work .... you got a beautiful lady, look at that tree hahaha😎
Did you have to cut early or you like it that way?
Enjoy that harvest 😏
