Week 6 Veg
She was given a maintenance flush this week and also transplanted into her new pot.
I believe it's important to give them a maintenance flush at about this stage as there's about 4 weeks worth of nutrient build up that the plant hasn't taken in. This can solidify into salt and build up in the pot, around roots and in the coco. To keep on top of this, she's given a good enough flush to take her final run off ppm to around +100 of your starting water. After flushing, she's immediately given a fresh, full strength nutrient feed to replace what has been flushed. Doing this is also a great way to check her pH, and adjust if necessary.
She was transplanted into a 5gal Root Pouch towards the end of the week. This will be her final pot throughout the rest of her cycle. I don't use fabric pots until the final pot because they're a nightmare to transplant from. I LST'd her main branches to keep her small and bushy. She might be given an extra week in veg, in wait for a spot in the flower tent!
Thanks for following and happy growing! πΊ
Looks great. Mine stretched from 13 to 48 and kept going so I bent over the meristem about 4β down. Yours will be huge unless I just have an odd pheno.
@TheFoxFarmer, some of it could be my light positioning. I had them set at 48β for a 36β tall plant when I put the 13β plant in flower. So I may have induced some light stretching. I donβt know but like youβve said βshe got bigβ.
@Michka, I veg for around 8 weeks. As soon as one girl is chopped from the flower tent the next girl goes in (after cleaning her new space first) βοΈπΊ
@TheFoxFarmer,how long will you stay in veg ? Mine are still small, i think i have minimum 3more weeks and then i'll switch them in flowering .. But i'm pretty sure yours will be bigger all the way... :)
@TheBudWhisperer, yeah coco drains well and if you're using fabric pots and have good air movement around the pots then that can also dry them quicker. It can be an advantage if you don't mind putting the work in, cuz they're fed more often and can be flushed more frequently during flush π¦βοΈπ¦
@TheFoxFarmer, k just double checking. My coco is draining like crazy and Iβm gonna be watering a ton (like every couple days) so just making sure the frequency isnβt completely outta whack. Cheers dude!π
@Michka, they're actually 3 fingered, but the middle finger is far bigger than the other two. It's because she's growing so fast she hasn't got time to produce huge fans! βοΈπ¦
Cheers @Ganjagrandaddy π sometimes that's just how it goes but at least you will have gained some knowledge and experience for your next run with her! Best of luck man πͺβοΈπ¦
@biggreens420, she was taken to 10 weeks mate as the garden need to carry on ticking! But she ripened well and couldn't really go for much longer as she was falling all over the place! Haha. Been slow on the updates as I've been working long hours but I'll be uploading more as soon as possible. Cheers Big G βοΈππ¦
What a great grow and diary bro, congrats!!! Very good commentary and final harvest review as well! Itβs unbelievable how one 315w CMH can grow those colas! Hope you win some prizes with this. Well deserved!! πππͺ
@TOTEM, cheers bro I appreciate your kind words π I'm still amazed at how much this girl produced! π I need to get me a bigger light! Haha βοΈπ¦
My girl has stayed relatively short so far, which is surprising because the leaves are certainly a higher sativa pheno. I assume some of this is owed to its training, but she didnβt even seem to stretch drastically after I flipped her a few weeks back. Interesting to see how she will turn out! Congrats on your harvest my man!
@Magnetous_tryko, honestly mate I'm blown away at how well she performed under my tiny CMH! πͺ she's a beast! Best of luck to you man, and I hope you can deal with her insane continuous stretch! Haha. Cheers mate! ππ¦
A couple weeks in to growing Hulkberry. This is my first time growing and just as I was starting to feel confident on this sophomore attempt I give your diaries a peek and am instantly humbled π
