Week 1
Lower leaves are showing some yellowing on tips. I’m thinking a touch of nitrogen toxicity following transplant. Also, leaves clawed for a bit, but seem to be in good shape.
Week 2
She is looking healthier as yellowing has not spread. She was topped early, but she is quickly recovering. Looking healthy to me. This is my first grow ever but I put in countless hours of studying the latest trends and basically a 360 view on cannabis horticulture. Shout out to Cannabis Training University for the affordable certification courses.
I covered week 2 in week 1 as I’ve been playing catch-up with this entry. When I saw yellowing thinking it was nitrogen toxicity, I began only using water for a few days.
I placed lst clips where I was able to without hurting the plant. My micro nutrients I alternate day by day. I’ve also implemented a diy drip system at the outer rim of the pots ( rotating around the circumference every other watering). This is to promote root growth in every direction (hypothetically ). I also added a phlizon ph1000 to the 2000 watt phlizon That I’ve been using which boosts the watts to 3000.
Absolutely you can but only remove leaves that are covering a bud sites and keep it thinned out in the center to allow light to penetrate the middle of the canopy
I feel confident that these bitches are ready to flower. I customized a top feed for them with spaghum moss, indoor potting soil, blood meal, and top soil. 1:1:1 : recommended coverage in blood meal. Lights to 12/12 and fingers crossed. Upgrading lights to Viparspect P4000 ASAP. Hopefully by the upcoming weekend. Still contiplating hps light but not too sure 1000 watt hps vs P4000. Please weigh in..
Just about done training at the beginning of week 3 of flower. I broke a branch or 2 brokered said no more. Not too much more I can do in training anyways. I continue to defoliate every 3-4 days. Also, I am removing fan leaves that are covering bud sites and lower growth to achieve the lollipopping technique as I see fit on a daily basis.
Tying down branches and brewing worm shit compost teas. Oh yea.. I also added ink bird temp humidity controller & AC unit 5500 btu, and I did vertical trellis for extra bud and cola support.
I had slight leaf foliage burn and curling due to using a foliage spray combined with a UVB supplemental light. In the beginning everyone (blogs/journaling) was pointing to water pH and salt build up. After rigorous testing and experimenting with a flush, I decided it was the UVB and foliage spray that had the most affect. UVB causes sunburn on humans, hence plants are no different apparently in this sense especially when amplified by water with a foliage spray.
I came to the conclusion of microbes away, UVB to 30 min in early to late evening only, and foliage spray to a min in the AM only. Let’s see how successful my experiments were!
I’m very satisfied with the results on my experiments and riding out the actions of my conclusions: Supplemental UVB PM only, microbes away, and foliage spray AM only.
Trimmed sugar leaves to harvest them since the trichomes on em were already turning amber. Also, hoping a little trim stress will induce more trichomes.
48 hrs of darkness will begin tonight 9/11/21. This California lightworks UVB supplemental kicks ass, but if used too early in flowering it will burn the leaves, especially if left on too long, as I learned the hard way (best way to learn unfortunately).
Many people are probably wondering where the fan and sugar leaves are. Well, aside from removing what is supposed to be removed by this point, I did a lot of live trimming to not only cut down on trim time, but also to induce stress for trichome production. This was my experimental group and my control group is about 2 to 3 weeks behind when cloned and planted. I will have a diary for that as well however, I have yet to add it on here. When I can test both side by side, I plan on publishing my results and conclusion to this theory. Peace and good vibes to all.
Dry weight came to 1/4 lbs. Not bad for my first ever harvest. My current plant of the same genetics in (ROLS) is about the same weight as all three. Very satisfied. Nice purple punch hints with animal cookies is spot on. Last plant was 1070.7g wet.
