She’s a fast grower! Getting big quick. She is also getting natural sunlight in through the window when conditions are good. At 18 hrs on & 4 hrs. off, she is under a Phlizon ph2000 watt.
In this grow during the veg cycle utilized flora bonding or swimming instead of typing to open up more but sites. I’m very happy with the results of the canopy was more than 2/3 covered when flipping to flower this week which was 8/26/21.
This girl does not want to grow wide. Every time I try to train her out she goes right upright with strong stiff branches. She is the fastest growing plant out of 5 tied for 1st with a hydro grow.
She has been the hardest of 9 to train as she strongly and stubbornly wants to grow straight up. This week I got a good or at least better handle on the training for this Royal Queen.
Day 42 of Flower. The drought stress has begun. The 11 day drought study I read showed a 50% increase in trichome production (legitimate scientific research study done on cannabis specifically). Since I am using C02 I limit the drought to 5 to 7 days. I only place a few pHed ice cubes in her pot in the am to mimic fall ground conditions and hopefully aid in trichome production by introducing stress.
This past week 7 I did not water to create drought stress. Only a few cubes of pHed ice in the soil bed in the PM after lights off. I am also utilizing California Lightworks UVB supplemental for 3 hrs.. in the AM and 3 hrs. In the PM. All these tactics are to promote increased trichome production. Studies show it works well. My opinion it works great for a strong final product.
Day 52 of Flower
This week I brewed a banana, aloe vera, yucca, and molasses compost tea with Recharge at 6.3 pH to rehydrate Cookies Gelato after the week long drought. With temperatures running a bit lower (75-78F High during the daytime), I lowered the CO2 to 900 ppm and increased UVB supplemental to all 11 hrs. with a few feet between the plants and the UVB light to avoid leaf burns. I also lowed the Viparspectra P4000 to 8" from the top cola of Cookie Gelato's canopy. The reasoning for 8" from that cola is because this distance evens out the light to 12" from the rest of Cookie Gelato's canopy, and it also evens the spread to 10"-12" from the other 2 plants canopy's fairly even.
