Planted two seeds into Fox Farm Light Warrior mix and wet them down with distilled water...old school, lo-tech...
Both popped within 30 hours and are vigorously growing.
I gave them a little Superthrive to get them started off right.
They are the fastest seedlings in the garden thus far.
I turned on the Viparspectra lights after a couple of days and they really ate it up.
I hear good things about this strain and Sweet Seeds gave me the opportunity to grow more of their strains, so I wasn't about to pass that offer up!
I started supplementing CO2 with a 2-gallon DIY sugar/wine yeast brew.
9/9:
Fed them their first taste of nutrients today
9/10:
New week- these young ladies seem like a pair of identical twins
I'll prolly transplant both of them in the next few days.
9/11:
I waited to long to transplant them and they have root problems to some degree or another...too wet for too long.
I transplanted both of them into 3 gallon pots and observed about 50% brownish roots.. 😕
I powdered the planting holes with myco, tricho, and other goodness.
9/12:
Between the root problems and the transplant, they looked horrible, so I sprayed them with BoomBoom Spray today and will do a good root drench tomorrow with BushDoctor Boomerang.
They looked better by the end of day, but still have a ways to go to get back on track...
9/17:
I fed them boomerang only twice this week, and gave also them kangaroots yesterday. They are both looking strong, and branching well.
I'll prolly flip to 13/11 with emerson effect in the next couple of days.
9/18:
New week...fed with Boomerang and Kangaroots
9/19:
Applied Axiom harpin proteins and boomboom spray
9/20:
Fed full strength TPS One...decent growth. This strain really likes the Nitrogen..they were starving...
9/21:
Tucked a few leaves and took some photos and a video.
Looking good. Just a couple more days of 24/0...
9/22:
Switched out the 560w of 5000k CCT lighting for 720w of 3000k CCT lighting and set the timer for 12/12.
Decided against 13/11 with emerson effect...trying to save a few bucks on electricity.
I'm keeping the lights at 30" from the tops for a day or two.
9/23:
The girls loved their first night of sleep...so perky!
9/25:
Both plants are healthy and growing well.
9/26:
Fed today...One and Kangaroots..also started supplementing silica.
9/27:
Rotated the edge plants and tucked some leaves
9/28:
Neither plant has gained much height yet, but both are branching well and seem healthy.
Rotated the edge plants and tucked some leaves.
10/2:
Fed today using One, Signal, Superthrive, Silica Gold, and added a little humic acid to the water.
Rearranged, leveled the canopy, tucked some leaves, plucked a little necrotic shit from the bottoms..
I know many of you are wondering why I'm not defoliating...
There may come a time when I find it necessary to remove some leaves, but at this stage of growth every leaf equates to more energy for the plant to produce bigger flowers, and I have no problems with airflow. I've found through the years that it makes the most sense to leave as much foliage as possible for as long as possible. When old leaves begin to die off, it is the right time to pluck them. And, by waiting for as long as possible to defoliate, the foliage you remove has had time to produce more THC, making it both viable and valuable for the bubble hash stash.
10/3:
Happy Birthday girls! You're a month old today!!! (except the stragglers..your birthdays are over the next few days)
Kicked on the FlowerPower UV light today..I currently have it set to run in 2 x half-hour increments during the day..will increase the length of exposure as much as possible over the next few weeks...
10/5:
I emptied the closet today and rearranged. Fed everybody a full stand-alone dose of Fox Farm Open Sesame, Signal, Silica Gold, and Sweet & Sticky for the carbs.
Sprayed everybody down with their last doses of BoomBoom Spray and Axiom harpin proteins.
10/9:
I fed today using One, and Open Sesame at half strength, along with sweet & sticky, signal, and silica.
Raised lights, leveled the canopy, plucked and tucked some leaves.
10/14:
I fed today using One, and Open Sesame at half strength, along with sweet & sticky, signal, kangaroots, and silica.
10/16:
Both plants are gorgeous...stacked up very well and fattening nicely.
10/18:
Fed them on the 18th..switched to beastie blooms, increased signal, sweet & sticky, and added a little superthrive and Ca/Mg..
Also increased UVB exposure to 2 hours in both their morning and late afternoon.
I also foliar fed them with MicroLife Maximum Blooms while feeding their roots.
Added 60w of subcanopy lighting.
10/23:
I fed today with One, sweet & sticky, signal, beastie bloomz, silica, and a little Ca/Mg
10/27:
Fed today with one, signal, sweet & sticky, silica, beastie bloomz, kangaroots, and humic acid.
Lowered the lights to no more than a foot from any cola..most are 7-9" away.
10/31:
I fed today with one, signal, sweet & sticky, beastie bloomz, and silica.
Forgot to take glamour shots, but will tomorrow...they're getting fat and frosty!
11/4:
Fed with one, signal, sweet & sticky, beastie bloomz, silica, and humic acid.
They are frosting over very well now and still fattening. Interesting aroma...very sweet, but has a hint of English toffee..
11/9:
They're smelling so awesome now! Like something sweet is baking in the oven!👍
Both plants are equally fat and frosty and still have a good way to go..
11/17:
I fed today but didn't have time for much of a photo session.
Gave them One, Signal, Sweet & Sticky, Cha Ching, and started them on LiquidSoil.
11/19:
One of them is crazy dense and colorful. The other is less dense, but smells friggin amazing and made more flowers. That one is foxtailing a little bit and showing no signs of being ready yet, but the dense one is probably a week from finished.
11/21:
I fed the one that's still popping pistils with One, Signal, Sweet & Sticky, Liquidsoil, and Cha ching. The dense one just got liquidsoil and signal.
11/28:
I harvested one of them today....plucked all the fan leaves, washed her, and hung her to dry. Very heavy plant, and smells kinda piney at this point.
The other one will be ready next week.
11/29:
The colors on the one I harvested are awesome..no purples, but damn near every other color...it's got a bit of a black pepper aroma as it dries.
I watered the remaining one today with Liquidsoil. I'll flush her Thursday and probably harvest her on Saturday. She's much more dense than I realized, and a bit fatter than the other, so I'm pretty stoked with this strain so far....
12/1:
Flushed the last one today.
12/2:
Harvested her, washed her, and hung her to dry.😁
Love this strain! It's so easy to grow, makes beautiful dense flowers that taste wonderful and pack a great punch.
I smoked a joint with my wife and we both got very high and actually had fun Christmas shopping, despite the fact that we usually HATE IT!
I do smell caramel from the jar, but it tastes more like a Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavor called "Pralines & Cream" to me...friggin' delicious!
They weren't the biggest or the most potent of the grow, but both plants were about the same height and produced almost the same amount. Both plants had very fat, dense colas, but one of them was exceptionally dense.
Neither plant gave me any trouble at all, and they were both fully ripe within a few days of each other.
I'll def grow this one again at some point in the not-to-distant future.👍
Plant A: 122g
Plant B: 127g
