This will be my 2nd DWC grow. First one I loved growing so much that I wanted to try growing the GSC since it did so well (in soil) this last grow. If what they say about hydro and accelerated growth, this should be a monster, yielding close to a lb. We'll see, lets go.
Just keeping her growing at this time. PH seems to slipup a little, but generally stable.
- I'm hoping the green bars I strapped to the top help me with LST.
Growth picked up, it was lagging due to either watering or temps. Now it's growing pretty good.
Trimmed of a few fan leaves, they were huge and covering the entire plant.
LST started and also removed a few fan leaves since they were huge and covering up most of the plant like a dress. The nodes after being topped need a week or more before I have enough room to tie them down, only about 2" to work with at this point.
Trying to go ~15 days between water changes.
Getting a slight smell of the GSC, to me is smells like cookies in the oven.
Week 6 flip time. She's looking good, just need to keep her tied down and spread out. Last one got out of hand and crowded each other. I think using the plant steaks like I did has helped tie them down.
Last week I use 10/7.5/2 and PH dropped .4 daily. Replaced water with 5/5/5 and PH is much more stable. So next time I will go from 5/5/5 => 10/10/10 and as she flowers I'll try to use 10/15/15. Quite a bit different than the critical I grew DWC last time.
Had some issues with nutes as it didn't like me raising the EC from 1.4 to 1.8. Took a few days but lowered EC to 1.6 and both EC and PH are stable.
Canopy is as flat as I can get it, the side colas are getting light but, haven't grew into the light much.
Pruning fan leaves that are dead or dying.
PH is starting to buck (drop) since I dropped EC from 1.6 to 1.4. Added in more Beastie Bloomz to bring up the EC (.25tsp/gal), but not what she wants...
Added in a 28w UVA light to help with resin production, may be more beneficial on next grow using it from the beginning.
Looks like I'm harvesting this weekend, lots of amber and purple.
I honestly don't know the wet weight, I tend to weight after the drying to not get my hopes up, there are a lot of stems.
Overall, this grow went well with the exception of my Apera PH meter crapped out on me, been using the cheap Amazon ones for a few weeks now. My goal was to yield more than 10oz, I may have come close. I'll report back after I trim and weight,
