Continued to progressively defoliate until 100% of fan leaves gone on one plant to see #1: Would it utilize the "Maxiumum" potential and free up "potential energy" for bigger buds, "or" #2: Be a detriment and cause the plant to lack in photosynthesis production resulting in smaller bud growth? I noticed that as soon as a fan leaf is picked from the internode a bud forms rapidly right under where the stalk meets stem, where prior to defoliation available light was much harder to reach directly under a fan leaf. Increased darkness to 16 hours in preparation for the last 2 weeks also upped 280nm UV for full 6 hours during daylight after 4 hours plants seemed to cope well. Signs of trichome degradation near the top of bud sites closest to the main light source. (Raised light to 12 inches). I have been purposely keeping light close to the top of the canopy to allow absolute maximum light penetration. This initially caused temperatures to rise above 85 until I added custom cooling both above and below the light.
