Germination process took place in cotton wool, it lasted 3-4 days and the sprouts were already large enough for planting.
1. Ayahuasca Purple - Barneys Farm
2. Girl Scout Coockie - Zamnesia
And with a few days delay..
3. Sand Ape (M/F - regular photo) - Space Monkey Genetics
Constantly LST, at daily basis, depends how fast they are growing and stretching.
Also gaining lower branches for taking the clones, when 1st defoliation will be done @ 1st flowering day.
Aya P. & GSC are transfered into the new custom flowering room under Black Dog Phytomax-2 1000.
In vegetation box, I put some companion plants like Bananas and some Mint.
Sand Ape was ready for transfer in flowering room, wit 1st defoliation for her.
While Aya P. and GSC are ready for 2nd defoliation approaching week 3.
Clones are working well, growing in veg.
Start of 4rd week of flowering, and after the plants expands, 2nd defoliation is done.
Middle of the week, clones are progressing well and there is span of them, from youngest to mature ones.
Mothers, after 2nd defoliation are recovering well. Girl Scout Cookies is a little bit poor, with her leafs curling down (clawing) but I think that it's not from nitrogen toxicity, then because of little bit overwatering and wind from ventilation after she stays without 80% of leafmass.
6 days after defoliation, end of the 4th week, mothers endured the stress. Especially GSC, she absorbed all the water and started to flatten the foliage slowly.
Entering 5th week of flowering, everything is going as planned.
Optimal variation of:
- Day Temp./Hum. - 28-29'C/35%
- Night Temp./Hum. - 18'C/60% (would like that it goes bit lower, till 13-14'C to activate anthocyanins. But I don't want to force it.)
Watering amount is still 1L per 24h, sometimes less, but soon they will start asking more than that. Because of this 1000W input Black Dog, which have light output like 2100W HPS, flowers become significantly bigger day by day, and plants are thirstier, absorbing more fluid. Also set it up two reflecting wings that visibly lighten more bud sites, now when plants are stronger. Hope that there won't be any hotsports or burns, but I totally doubt it, considering on great ventilation that maintains this optimal temp. and provides breeze, between light source and plants suface.
Beginning of the week 6., they are in the middle of the flowering period.
Watering schedule:
Every 48h 7L on 2 plants
Room is very well ventilated so smell isn't present all over, but flowers are starting to be sticky under fingers and you can smell first fresh terpens, ready to be ripen. With Aya. pine and fruity, and for GSC musky and tropical. Calyxes are slowly forming and there can be seen on some, that they might be those fat ones, especially on Aya., while GSC is more leafy.
Buds are denser, but need to be much more than that. From above, it looks like they are mature, but up close you can see that trichomes are still mostly clear except those few 10%, which are milky with little bit amber heads. In pursuit for full amber and dunk flowers specific for Indica plants, 3 weeks before harvest, nutrients are kept to an minimum and now is time for 2 weeks of Overdrive. That means, this additive will start reboot flowering with its properties to encourage sweeter, stickier and fuller buds. Also will increased cannabinoid and terpenoid levels.
End of flowering week 7, enough with the Overdrive, so nutrients are now off. Primarily because plants are finishing, so they need minimum 1 week of pure water. Also, it seems that there was little bit of nutrients burn which has now come to light, but not sure is this from it or from strong light-burn. But now it's not a problem anymore, essential is that the flowers themselves are not burning and that there is enough time left to be flush properly.
They entered week 9 of flowering. Buds are firmly under fingers, tough but still filling up and not so sticky then, more crunchy. Scent is cleaner, lighter, without those strong, fresh-humid tones from nutrients, which is now mature and smells like dried fruits. GSC have sweet, tropical notes while Aya makes pointed, pine like ones.
Dense buds, full of resin, not so sticky but hard and full flower without cavity. Indica like smell, sour and pine, spikey deep in nose. Structure is kush like with burdock of flowers between internodes. Crazy purple steam with also later purple foliage, at the end. Flowers stays green with little bit of purple tones.
Pure flowers, not so leafy and herbaceous, what is gratefull for triming. Very satisfied and can't wait to hit a taste of it after drying. Also, smell her real terpenes and eteric oils after curing process.
More leafy buds, but still full of flowers also dense and hard under fingers. Stickyer then Aya P. and smell of terpenes is fruity and tropical, sweet and honey, just like some exotic fruit.
