I germinated the seed in a wet paper towel inside a ziploc bag for 48 hours before planting it. The germinator box keeps the temp at around 26 degrees C.

Not too much to report. sHe's been growing as expected. I had to leave the plants for the weekend, and they had all been down so I gave them some support. I think the problem was over watering, which I had to do to leave them for a few days.

First step in the mainlining was performed on day 14. I topped her at node 3 and removed nodes 1 and 2. She's doing well but has a bit wrinkly leaves from the powerful LED light. It's set at 75%.

At day 19 she got upgraded to a 11 litre fabric pot. The next day at day 20 she got her second topping in preparation of the mainlining. The light intensity has been increased to 75%.

This week I've done two toppings and completed the mainlining. Topping number 2 was done at day 23, and the final topping done at day 27. She'll now mainly get defoliated and some light LST.

This week we got some extra space in the tent. It will now only be 3 plants sharing the space. My Larry Bird Kush plant turned hermaphrodite and started to make balls. Wow! This plant is growing new shoots like crazy! I was initially only going to have the 8 colas from the mainlining, but when I see how it sprouts everywhere I can't cut it all off. I'll let her grow her shoots and see how fat she'll get. I'll give her maybe a week more of veg. before I'll switch to flower.

This plant is bushing out like mad. I gave her a 2 hour day today, which is being followed by a 24 hour darkness period. From tomorrow she'll be on 12/12. I will clean her up a bit underneath when she wakes up again. She has got some stress symptoms on her leaf tips. I've backed down a little bit on the nutes but I think it was mainly wind stress.

This beautiful lady has hit the turbo button, she grows like no other. I need to keep removing lower shoots that sprout where nothing should sprout. Two of her shoots, that sprouted below all fan leaves, have reached the top of the canopy and are as thick and luscious as any of the 8 mainlined branches. I have defoliated a lot and also done some light supercropping to widen the plant. I've decided not to tie her down at all this grow.

This week I have been doing a little bit of supercropping and a lot of defoliation. She is spreading out beautifully and she has stretched a lot. She is the tallest plant in the tent. Together with the other two plants, she is filling up the tent nicely. It looks like we will see some very fat buds here in a while...

This baby is stretching a lot, she has gained 20 cm since last week and she keeps on stretching. She keeps on growing strongly and has started and the buds are popping up. She helps a lot in filling the tent up.

Stretching has slowed down which is good. She is no longer the tallest plant in the tent. She is forming beautiful long colas and I can't wait to see them in full flower. She is helpfully stretching sideways to fill the tent up with beautiful buds. We also start to see some trichome production.

Stretching has stopped and buds are filling out. She is stacking those buds nicely. She's building some nice long colas. I have done lots of defoliation, but will have a bigger session tomorrow. She's covering up with loads of trichomes.

She has been stacking up the buds nicely. The buds are swelling and they're packing lots of trichomes. Lots of defoliation has been done this week, up and down and in the middle...

This girl is nearing her end and she's packing it on like a champ. This is a very sticky plant and she is getting beautiful long colas that are well packed. I'm still picking some leaves to expose hidden buds.

This 8 week of flowering hasn't been too eventful. Some lower spindly branches have been falling over due to heavy buds. I've just been trying to make them hang off other branches to kind of aim upwards towards the light. The buds are super frosty and they're gaining that last bit of weight before they're ready for the chop.

At 9 weeks this baby is almost ready. Her trichomes show that she needs a little bit longer. She will probably get chopped later this week. She is absolutely packed with trichomes and I believe we've got a hard hitter.

So, I decided it was time to do the chop. I have flushed her for 3 days and now she'll get to slow dry for a few weeks. She'll get a few days in daylight to keep her alive a bit longer. She is very sticky to touch and her buds are very beautiful, like little roses.

@Professor_Chaos, I water all my coco plants 3 times a day. The dripping starts every 4 hour and will feed long enough to get runoff.
Professor_Chaos
Professor_Chaoscommented3 years ago
@Nickeluring, I love using coco coir.. but I only water about once to MAYBE twice a day.. I still have to water, feed, water, feed, etc... so with the drip system you dont have to worry about the waterings in between because you're constantly flushing the old nutes out.. is that correct? I believe I still get subpar results with the water, feed, water, feed method.. but I feel it could still be better lol.. and its just drain to waste.. right?

Looks great man. This stage 73 is a little bit cool with lights on id aim for around 77. Now their finished the vertical growth we want that more than 10 degree swing between lights on and lights off, Instead of signaling them to stretch at this stage it will send more energy into the budding process and resin production. Looks like you have already begun to do that so great work with that man. We have just found from experience buds formed at 77 for lights on temps will be the best combo of size and density, Anything too cool and we will sacrafice a lot of the size. Buds developed at over 80-82 will be very huge but airy and prone to fox tail. It is about finding the best combo that works for you! Keep up the great work man very nice grow. Would you mind checking out my 200 light 7,000 plant diary and following my profile ? Happy growing bud!

Hey friend, Lovely looking tent. If I may offer some pointers I would suggest getting those temps up for sure. They are a little on the cold side for this stage of growth. Cannabis plants love heat and humidity. It is the buds that hate it. For veg & early flower warmer temps of low 80's and no more than 9 degrees less when the lights are off will result in much more vigorous growth. Before the plants finish growing vertically by weeks 4 or 6 of flower depending on strain we like to keep the temp gaps within 9 degrees. If we go beyond that it will signal the plants to stretch. Once they are done growing vertically opening up that temp gap beyond 10 degrees will instead send signals to the plants to chunk up and form nice tight buds & also produce more resin. Keep up the great work man, If you have the time check out my 200 light 7,000 plant diary & follow my profile. If you ever have any questions please do not hesitate to ask! Happy growing

Cheers mate, thanks for the info. We're a bit cold here during winter since the houses here don't have any insulation. Soon we get summer and then I'll get some insanely hot temperatures instead to make up for the cold winters. 😄 Best time of the year for me to grow is spring or autumn when we have some decent temperatures. Summer and winter I have to accept the conditions not being that great. It would be too expensive for me to get the temperatures right during these seasons.
