12/26/21 Day 48 - Lucy has experienced no problems following last week's overfeeding and subsequent flush. She's used up 9 lbs of the water she uptook during the flush. She is getting fatter every day, and her top now shows purplish leaves as they get ready to open and release the pistils underneath. The leaves then change to green. I accidentally touched a sugar leaf today while tending to her, and my finger was super sticky. She did gain .5 inch of height last week, due to the abundance of flowers she's unleashed on the top. When those burst open, they have multiple pistils instead of just two. I'm pleased about her progress and my friend who made a joke that she will be one giant bud may not have been that far off the mark. There are very few places that the main stalk is visible at this point.
12/27 Day 49 - All seems well, there are a couple of leaves acting strangely and I wonder what's going on with that. Hopefully nothing big! She is light this morning (7.8 lbs) so she has used up the flush water at this point. She will get a dose of Recharge with her water.
12/28 Day 50 - I checked her leaf temperature yesterday using my no touch thermometer. She's 75.5 degrees at the very top of the plant. She got 1/2 gallon of pH 6.5 water with 1/4 tsp of Recharge. She smells so strong now she's overpowering her gigantic air filter.
12/29 Day 51 - She continues to have a leaf temp of around 75, tent is varying between 75 - 77 throughout the day. RH at 40. This morning's weight was 8.6, likely will need water tomorrow. I'll watch her closely today for that. I've decided to monitor the "lifting leaves" as all temps, RH, pH, etc etc are within acceptable limits. I think she just likes to make me worry! ๐
12/29 11 PM: Nope, she needed water tonight. She got 1/2 gal 6.5 pH water, Awesome Blossoms, MagiCal and Sugar Daddy. The first two to 1/2 strength, the SD to 3/4 strength. Post water: 11.2 lbs. RH in tent: 40%, Temp: 75. Leaf temp: 75.5 All looks in order to me. Light currently set to DLI 35.
12/30 Day 52 - All is well with Lucy today, scent is getting insanely strong, glad I have a good filter. She drank 1 lb of water overnight, so she's still working hard.
12/31/21 Day 53 and Happy New Year from Lucy and me! She's started changing the colors of her pistils - they are turning orange, and some at the top are popping out of the buds as orange from the get-go, not starting white and changing. I'm sure this is a sign of her increasing maturity. I often hear 80 days floated around as typical harvest for an auto, but she's never done anything typically, so I'm expecting her to finish up in the next couple of weeks.
1/1/22 Day 54 Happy New Year! Lucy was light this morning coming out of the tent, but I decided to wait till a bit later today. I've got a big chore preparing the 3x3x6 tent, the new 300W light runs so hot I'm going to have to hang the giant filter/exhaust right above the light. I have a huge intake fan already installed. Lucy's been so comfortable in her little tent I haven't been in a rush. I plan to use the small tent to sprout/early veg my new girls, then move them to the new tent, the equivalent of the equator!
My plant was flushed last week and has now used all the water from that. She showed some curling tips this morning. Any ideas what's going on? Light set for 40 DLI. If she needs something, I want to add it today while she's thirsty. Thank you for your help!
Cannabis can take 60DIL and above in most test settings.
curling leaves is heat stress though. however 26c is not that hot. and humidity is proper.
It does seem to only be the upper leaves of the plant vs the bottom.
It could be that the highest tips of the plants are experiencing higher temps then the rest of the tent.
where is your sensor located to monitor temps? do you have an extra one for fault checking?
week 5 was 18" distance from lamp and this 8th week its 12" this could be the main cause of this extra stress.
at what height was the 40DIL calculated with your setup? maybe need to return it back to its older settings.
Best of luck
@KingSalomonsWeed, Thank you I will! I have to get my statistics down first, I think? She is drying low and slow in her tent.
That cola is 10 inches long, and 4-5 wide on a 20 inch tall plant. I'm thrilled at my first grow!
Hi! i dont think you should worry about the curling leave at this time as she is showing signs of immobile nutrient deficiency.
I would suggest you to give her Calcium and avoid as much as you can to leave your plant to suck up all water from the soil.. Keep it moist.
I hope it helps. ๐
@moafya, Thank you very much! She is due for her water today, I do have a Mag/Cal I can use. I plan to also use Recharge, as she had an emergency flush last week when I foolishly gave too much Nitrogen.
