Alright folks. Got a banging grow about to get started with some freaking fire genetics from Mephisto Genetics. Rocking two Pinot Noirs which is their cross of Double Grape with Creme de la Chem which are two insane and coveted strains from them. And also the delicious and highly sought after Strawberry Nuggets. Two Mephisto powerhouses going into shot glasses of water then to paper towels to germinate.
Week of 11/29-12/5
First week seeds in the dirt. Weirdest thing happened one of the pinots disappeared. Like before it could really be a sprout. I noticed a moth in the tent so I wonder if it ate the sprout? Removed the moth. And searched the pot and couldn’t find any sprout or seed. The other three are up and running so I had to quickly germ and plant another Pinot. Crazy!
11/30 watered with 6.3ph about 1/3 gal each
12/3 watered 6.4ph
Onto the next week, hopefully the other PN catches up!
Week of 12/6-12/12
Moving along. Second PN popped up so we’re back to normal after the mysterious missing first one. Lol but it is a bit behind, really shows how fast these autos take.
12/6 watered with 6.6ph water
12/9 watered with 6.4 water
Week of 12/13-12/19
Another week gone by, girls are vegging out. No major developments! Still watering two gallons at a time, pretty much even split.
12/13 watered with 6.2ph
12/16 watered with 6.3ph
12/19 watered with 6.5ph with 1.5 cal mag and 5 ml grow big, both are half recommended dose
Week of 12/20-12/26
Another week gone! Girls are going. I’ve had a couple weird blackouts in the neighborhood, some lasting a couple hours. Wonder if that’s had an effect. Noticed some issues on lower fan leaves possibly a deficiency. Two front ones are showing pistols and preflower moves. Other two are still vegging and looking good.
12/20, LST and leaf tucking, noticed some lower leaves got a little burn? Wonder if from soil or what
12/21, watered 2 gallons with 6.4 ph
12/25, Merry Christmas! Today I watered with 3 ml calmag, 10ml grow big, and 1tsp on recharge at 6.4 ph
12/26, major LST and leaf tucking today
Two are showing ore flowers and other two are vegging hard. I put some heavy LST on them to create some more tops.
Week of 12/27-1/2
Another week gone by. Noticing some deficiency issue, I’ve been very light on nutrients and maybe runoff is lower on PH but biggest issues was a couple blackouts that lasted a couple hours. I think it caused three plants to start flowering and creating nutrient deficiencies since they’re turning into flower.
12/28 watered with 6.3-6.4 ph water
12/30 1.5 ml per gal cal mag, 10 ml per gal grow big, 25 ml big bloom at 6.5, runoff was around 6.1-6.2, looked very dry
1/1 happy new year! Watered at 6.5ph
Onto the next week! One Pinot noir looks amazing. The other three have some sort of deficiency.
Week of 1/3-1/10
Another week by. Bigger developments so all four are flowering. One of the Pinot Noirs in the front was either stunted or something but it’s wayyy farther along in flower than the one behind it which is at the size and everything I thought all three would be. The two strawberry nuggets are likely stunted but I know that’s just how that strain is, small bushy, cabbagey. One is turning dark purple and is clearly a purple pheno. Not sure what could’ve caused stunts maybe distance of light? Lack of nutes? The couple blackouts we had that had lights off for several hours, that may have triggered flower? The one that turned out best was the late Pinot noir so maybe I did something early on. Anyways!
1/3, 6ml calmag, 20ml grow big, 20ml tiger bloom, 60ml big bloom plant food at 6.3ph
1/6, watered at 6.3-6.4ph
1/8, 6ml cal mag, 30ml tiger bloom, 60ml big bloom food, 1tsp recharge at 6.3-6.4 ph
Week of 1/10-1/16
Another week of flower in the books. Buds are fattening up all around. Back Pinot noir WHICH WAS THE LATE STARTER in week one is now the biggest plant and is budding. So crazy. I must’ve stunted the other three early on. Maybe light was too close or pH or something to do with power going out a couple times. I’ll need to think about it. But everything’s going great, temp and humidity are dialed in nicely. The one strawberry nuggets is def a purple pheno so I’m excited to see the final. The front Pinot noir looks like it may finish first, it went into flower pretty quickly and is getting frosty. Still seeing some deficiency but new growth looks fine.
1/10 watered 6.3-6.4
1/12, 8ml calmag, 26ml tiger bloom, and 20ml grow big, at 6.4-6.5
1/14, two gallons at 6.4-6.5ph
1/16, 6ml calmag, 20ml tiger bloom, 1 tsp recharge at 6.3-6.4ph
Week of 1/17-1/23
A great week of flowering! All plants are flowering and plumping up and frosting up. The front short Pinot noir is super frosty and it’s counterpart behind is putting on frost and fattening. Both strawberry nuggets had some small deficiency, she seemed like a tough grow as the Pinot noirs are doing great. Seeing a lot of fall colors especially on the Pinot Noirs which have that Creme de la chem lineage which is notorious for color change in flower check them out!
1/19, watered at 6.7-6.8ph, removed almost all LST ties
1/21, 7ml calmag, 22ml tiger bloom, 60ml big bloom, 1 tsp recharge at 6.4ph
1/23, watered at 6.3-6.4
On to the next exciting weeks of flower where the plumping and fattening happens!
Week of 1/24-1/30
Another week of flower! All buds are fattening up especially the Pinot Noirs and recently the front Strawberry Nuggets. My hand touched a bud while trimming out some dead leaves and it smelled like fruity pebbles. Also happened with a Pinot while clearing out dead leaves, smelled like straight up gas haha excitement is at 11. Colors are a mix of fall change but some seem like a deficiency. Buds look and smell amazing on all.
1/25, 8ml calmag, 30 ml tiger bloom, 20ml sticky sweet at 6.3-6.4
1/28, watered at 6.4-6.5
1/30, watered 6.3-6.4
Week of 1/31-2/6
Alright folks this is the last week of flower, all four are showing some amber trichs so I will be harvesting in the next day or two. Top fan leaves got crispy so I wonder if they got burned by nutes. All are super smelly. Very fruity and gassy in the tent and should be a pretty decent yield for such a small grow. Noticed one or two pollen sacs on the back Pinot Noir which I plucked off and did notice a nanner. But I took care of it. Not sure if I’ll do a last water on Monday but may harvest Monday or sometime next week.
1/31, 8ml calmag, 22ml tiger bloom, 20ml sweet and sticky, 1tsp recharge 6.3-6.4
2/2, I may have watered on this day,
2/3, watered at 6.2-6.3ph
Pinot Noir. The famous illuminauto strain from Mephisto. Ended up getting two different phenos, one short and stocky with crazy frost and one nice medium plant with dense nugs and also super frosty. These are still curing but I harvested on 2/11, dried until 2/18 and been curing ever since. Got 148 grams off the two plants in two gallon pots which is about 5.25 ounces. Happy with the yield! I’ll update with smoke report in about two weeks.
Strawberry Nuggets. Famous strain by Mephisto Genetics. She lived up to her reputation of being a tougher grow. Had stunt and deficiency issues, whereas the other plants were fine. Tricky to trim since they tend to cabbage up on leaves. Two different phenos, one deep purple and one green. Strong berry and flower smell. Some hints of cherry and earth on the purple pheno. These are still curing but I harvested on 2/11, dried until 2/18 and been curing ever since. Got 112 grams off the two plants in two gallon pots which is about 4 ounces. Happy with the yield! I’ll update with smoke report in about two weeks.
Good looking grow!! Question about the strawberry. Is there a difference in the smell between the two plants? The purple one looks great, but can you describe it's smell at the moment? Thank you👍
@indoorontario, good question! I feel like the darker/purple strawberry nugget smell is almost cherry fruitcake and the non purple is more fruity pebbles. I’ll update with smoke report in about two weeks after curing.
