12/4:
Planted two beans directly into soil, wetted and waited. One of them popped up in about 48 hours.
12/9:
The second bean didn't pop, so I planted another one.
12/12:
Added a little superthrive to the feed water.
12/13:
Still no second sprout?!? No time to try germinating another...so, either one of these two emerges, or I'll just grow one of them this run.
12/14:
Added some Boomerang to the feed water.
12/16:
Guess it's just gonna be the one Blue Monkey this run...1/3..kinda disappointing, but maybe she'll be a big one.
I potted her up today and dusted her roots with a bunch of mycorrhizae fungus.🙏
12/18:
Not getting a good germination rate initially caused me to forestall giving nutrients to her until the others could catch up, and now I've got obvious N deficiency going on with her...she'll recover, but damnit...
12/19:
She was dry enough today that I went ahead and fed some One, Kangaroots, and Superthrive.......okay little blue monkey girl, show me what you got!
12/22:
I fed her some full strength One with a little humic acid today, and also foliar fed with Boom Boom spray and Axiom harpin proteins.
12/24:
I really soaked her well today with One, Kangaroots, silica, and Superthrive....about a half gallon or so.
12/27:
I fed her about a half gallon of One, silica, and added some ca/mg.
I set the timers for 12/12...she should be pretty perky after her first night of beauty sleep.💤💪
I am gonna continue the 460w of 5000k+ lighting treatment for another few days.
1/3/2022:
I fed them One, silica, and gave them a little Open sesame so they've got plenty of P and K available if they want it. Also started adding a little signal and sweet & sticky.
Also started UVB stressing for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening.
1/4:
Today is the 31st day from seed.
1/6:
Fed her One, signal, sweet & sticky, silica, kangaroots, ca/mg, and open sesame.
Made a fresh batch of sugar and yeast for the CO2 generator.
She's the first plant in the garden to pop some pistils-
1/10:
I fed heavily today with One, signal, humic acid, silica, sweet & sticky, and open sesame.
1/13:
I fed today..same stuff..
1/15:
She's stacking up very well and got a nice aroma now👍
1/24:
I shoulda fed today, but had no time...
1/25:
I fed today with One, signal, beastie bloomz, silica, sweet & sticky, and humic acid... also foliar fed them with Microlife Maximum Blooms.
1/30:
Fed today.
2/7:
Did a thorough feeding today, and also foliar fed with Microlife Maximum Blooms. Added humic acid.
This plant is frosting over really nicely and starting to show some senescence....shades of deep blue and purple in her foliage.
2/12:
Fed today..no time for anything else..
2/14:
Decreased distance between the lights and canopy. Let the maximum swell commence!
2/16:
Fed today..increased sugars/carbs. This was probably the last feeding with Beastie Bloomz..switching to Cha Ching at next feed and cutting back on the One.
2/20:
I fed today. Started them on a full dose of cha ching and liquidsoil, and stopped adding silica.
Turned on the dehumidifier.
2/21:
Increased UVB exposure by another half-hour per day.
2/23:
Fed today....reduced One....added 1/4 tsp/gal of Cha ching, plus signal, sweet & sticky, and liquidsoil.
Increased UVB exposure by another half-hour per day.
2/27:
Fed today.
3/7:
Flushed her today with 5 gallons of warm water and liquidsoil.
3/10:
Gave her a little water with liquidsoil.
3/11:
Live trimmed her
3/12:
Harvested and washed her today👍
This plant was easy to grow, but didn't produce a lot. She wasn't the smallest, but she was the lowest yielding plant of the run. Her buds weren't that dense, but they smell wonderful.
I still have more of these beans, so I'll probably give it another try later this year.
