This plant is WORK. You won't have to wait for my harvest report to find out how I find growing this strain - HARD. F'N HARD.
She put on another 9" this week despite by feeble attempts to keep her down. She's about 38" tall now and only about 8" away from the light. The light is turned down to 75% intensity. No sign of things burning up yet, thankfully π
Had to unsheathe my machete again this week to prune and remove a lot of branches (along with some defoliation) to thin things out. Humidity in the tent was running around 65% during the night before I cleared this thicket. I don't need future mould or bud rot issues.
The VeloKelp and Nature's Candy are now out of the mix. Visited my local hydro supply store to pick up a few things last week and had a great discussion with the owner about nutrients. She highly discouraged the use of VeloKelp in DWC, stating it had the potential to cause more harm than good given that not everything in the product can be easily absorbed, and further, had the potential to attract gnats, promote mould/fungus and rot. She also said to use a light hand with Nature's Candy because complex carbohydrates can't be broken down in DWC and can attract some pretty nasty microbes. I've introduced Sensizym into the mix to help keep the root zone healthy and aid in the uptake of nutes.
She drinks and feeds pretty consistently, about 2-3 litres/day. I give her 1/2 dose top-ups. EC has been running between 8-.9 and PH between 6 - 6.3. Her PH goes up a little every day and I balance her out to about 5.9/6.0. Rinse, lather, repeat.
I hope she's maxed out now and will just settle into flower. If she gets any bigger my options will be limited - as in I don't know what the eff I'll do π€·ββοΈπ» Come back next week and see!
Thanks for tuning in βοΈ
Oui this is cool to check out . I've never seen someone use the full Remo line ..sickkk. . I recommend you get a good zyme .hygrozyme .sensizyme . Cannazyme etc. Keep the roots clean and uptake 5x more . Keep the dwc super clean etc . I use hygrozyme .( Roots whiter then snow and bigger then Santa's bag!!
and hydrobuckets. ((No lift ))).. check me out homie . Cheers
@@Jhindlehydro, Thanks for the recommendation. Yes, I think some zyme is in order. The VeloKelp is great but generates a lot of fallout. I'll be sure to check out your buckets π
