This was the second week of 3/4 strength Jack's. Everything I've read about Auto's is that they generally require less nutes, but these ladies seem pretty hungry. I am seeing a slight Calcium deficiency on some of the mid and lower leaves just starting. For week 8 I am going with full strength Jack's. Overall though I'm a pretty good position: My water level is dropping, my PPM's are dropping, and my PH is going up consistently. I am having to defoliate pretty heavily about every 3 days. The sad plant is requiring significantly less defoliation in comparison to the happy one. However, the sad plant is, at a bear minimum, one+ weeks further along in the flowering process. You can clearly see this from the pictures. The Sad colas are between 8-9" tall and the Happy colas are around 6-7" tall at the moment. I moved the light up further where it's about 18" above the Happy colas. I'm definitely seeing signs of light burn on the very top stuff (something I've never had happen to me until now with this 20 hour light rotation). I feel kinda miffed about having to continue raising the light because I've got buds that are just now peaking through the bottom of the trellis. Overall, I think things are still pretty solid so far. P.S. This is very strong smelling breed, but my carbon filter is doing a great job so far (it's not new, I used it for my last photo grow so it's technically past it's usable lifetime. I do have a brand new backup though if needed).

Just want to chime in. This looks great dude. Good call to hang whole plant. Remove the large fan leaves though for the hang. Dry trimming is the best way and is actually easier when I thought wet would be, it is not. Your bud will take longer to dry which is needed. You need to shoot for 10-14 days of drying. Move your humidity after 3 or 4 days from 50/55 up to 60 area. Keep filter sucking, but don't blow your fans at the plants hanging. You will be fine. Don't hope to trim by next weekend because it may be to early. I get why it would be good timing but don't rush a thing here. Once you trim, go right into GROVE BAGS made for curing. Otherwise, use jars with NO boveda packets to start. Get a 5 pack of cheap hydro meters that fit in your jar. If they are up in the 60+ range you won't need packets for a few weeks. Just burp the jars twice a day to relieve the moisture and stale air. Then after the meters reach 59% or less I would introduce the packets. (Don't judge the hydro meters until about 12-24 hours after putting the bud in so they can moisten up and then give you an accurate reading) it takes just alil time for the moisture to return and it usually will unless you have over dried the product. Make best judgement. Outside of buds will become crisp, branches may start to snap not bend but when u squeeze the bud u may just slightly still feel a low % of moisture is within the bud, this is perfect time to trim. Good luck, I'm actually about to order sour apple auto. I love this strain but have several photos lined up and need a few autos to fill in. This seems like it's doing well enough to include in my garden. Keep it up I'll stay tuned to watch your updates. Be patient and your bud will be what you want it to be. 👍👍

@exclusiveX420, That's what it's all about IMO. Experimenting and finding out what works for you. Good luck!

@Bertoxxulous,thanks I actually ended up buying food grade hydrogen peroxide to start using regularly now. The UV roots I have read into more and see that for what it's doing and being used for. When i top off my pots after a few days with just fresh water. I need to add UC roots again because it's being depleted after 2-3 days. Further research on what's best for me. We will see

@exclusiveX420, I looked into the UC Roots stuff, and it looks like it is a different type of product than Hydroguard. Hydroguard puts beneficial microbes (why you don't want to use peroxide/H2O2 with it) in your solution that prevents negative microbes from causing root rot. It essentially chokes out bad microbes. I haven't had root rot bad enough to encounter what you have, but I know those are symptoms.

@ChefDan420, Hell yes man! It's the only way to go in my book with how I've got things setup. I'm still trying to figure out when the best time to let things grow through though....I definitely don't have that dialed in quite yet. I would have probably done a better job with a photo for that because I'm more familiar with them. I did some heavy-ish defoliation again Tuesday, and a bunch of tucking today. I think I'm going to let things grow through from here on out. Per the breeder, I've only got 4 weeks left till harvest (although it may go longer).
