***April 4
Fixed up the reservoir with no more of the Prod-Pro (15-30-15) because I wont be needing as much nitrogen anymore (stretch is over I think).
I cut the bottom 4 branches clean off, because they weren't getting much light, and I want the energy to be put into the nodes closer to the tops. My partner put them in clone gel and is attempting to root them, but I am not expecting them to root (you never know though!)
The nugs are filling out super nicely, and are really shooting pistils. I even can see the tiniest bit of frost beginning to form! π
Everything is looking super happy & healthy! The roots are looking a little thick, but I promise they are just a giant root balloon, eating up the oxygen from the bubbler underneath.
This is my first time using Holland Secret nutrients, so if anyone has experience with them, feel free to comment what you thought about their other products! I might end up switching completely over to them from Root Farm if I like the results of the Bloom. π

Seeing more and more frost every day, might not be major, but its the beginning!
She's also not drinking like mad anymore, which confirms for me, that the stretch is over for sure.
Thinking about doing a supercrop HST towards the later weeks of flower to stress the plant last minute into bulking up the buds, but I haven't decided for sure yet.
All in all, things are going amazing!!

Haven't check the ppm, but had to add 2 glasses of water (about 8 cups) to the reservoir.
Top was getting a whopping 1300ppfd (59 DLI) so I raised the light for the last time. Now it's hitting around 900-1000ppfd which is a bit more comfortable. The plant wasn't showing any signs of stress, but I wanted to catch it before it could accidentally burn itself. All the leaves are praying towards the light, and they are really stacking on the trichomes now.
I can smell sweet vanilla in the air when I enter the same room as this girl, and I am loving it.
Pistils haven't changed much, but the nugs look like they are starting to fatten up a tiny bit. I'll make sure my reservoir PPM isn't too low tomorrow when I refresh the reservoir. It seems to be loving the bloom. If the PPM dropped too low, then I may consider adding another tsp.
Thanks for another great week, see you guys in the next one!
Beautiful plant! I came to check it out and saw you said you're nutrients arent staying stable. If you dont mind some advice, organics are really hard to successfully run in hydro. It's almost impossible to run a reservoir stable with organics in it. I use a 1 part grow and 1 part bloom chemical salts in my reservoir. It holds ph great for weeks and makes hydro enjoyable to grow in as it should be. Also 5 ph is too low. 6.0 or close to there gives you a good range to absorb all the nutrients. Best of luck with the rest of your grow
@WishiFishi, calcium absorbs better at higher ph. Ghe has a great chart that shows the best range that all nutrients absorb at. I guess this site wont let you paste links anymore though. I will definitely follow along on your grow. Love the way those freakshow leaves grow out.
@Wicked_Stix, I was actually having some calcium up take issues at the 6.3 I was sitting at, so I lowered it down a bit. I'll keep my eye out on it, I'm still learning and experimenting!
@WishiFishi, it's actually 5.5 to 6.5. At 5 you wont ever get enough cal and mag absorption. Even at 5.5 the plants will struggle to absorb. I thought you were using organics because you had fish shit listed on your nutes.
@Wyregrasser, Thank you so much π I will make a detailed review of the strain once she's finished and I've done a little smoke test! π I appreciate all the support
@WishiFishi, I'm just going to run them in solo cups and see what happens... basically testing a new fertilizer, grow dots from real growers... I added it a little heavier than recommended so maybe I can burn them a little. Thinking of flipping to 12/12 after 3 weeks to see what what they show, then re-vegging. Either way, your diary is going to help me in the long run so thank you.
@GroloCup, Good luck on your grow! When I did mine in soil, they seemed like they were always hungry, so keep that in mind! They are also relatively hard to sex, and barely need defoliation. That's about all I learned about the strain in my experience, hope it helps! I'm also going to follow along your grow :)
@WishiFishi, I've been hacking away the last day or so, looking to max out the sites before flipping... 4-7-22 is the day... hoping for ladies, or I'm going to have some pregnant Super Skunk lady with Freakshow crosses... Thats crazy that yours is so bushy, mine were going straght up with little side branching... I didn't do any training though so I should have figured...plants doing plant things... Mine looked a little bushy but it was all the crazy kale looking fan leaves...
@GroloCup,I decided against doing very much to this one, I didn't do any topping, and the only defoliation I've been doing is the top two fan leaves as they were getting too big and covering the tops. The canopy is doing it all on its own!
I still want to go in and lollipop a bit, but other than that, it's been pretty hands off. The thing I like about this strain, is it's very open to the light and airy, so it doesn't really need a lot of maintenence it seems.
@Wyregrasser, This leaf mutation is really bushy so far! Same thing happened to a few of my previous freaks, but they ended up stretching out their fingers after. Just upgraded my lights, so we will be seeing some nice changes in the near future π
