2/28/22 Day 1 of week 4 - got back into alignment here. Shirley is getting huge - I wish I had put more coco in her pot, her leaves are touching the inside. But she seems happy. I have no idea if the FIM is going to succeed, but if I'm going to LST her, I'd better get hustling. I finally got a second plant going - what a struggle - it's day 1 for baby Gorilla Glue - whose name I have yet to pick. Still waiting to see if any of the Blueberry Glue sprout, I'm not holding out a lot of hope.
2/28 PM - Talk about a post that didn't age well - one of the BGs sprouted tonight! She's in a helmet so we'll see what tomorrow brings.
Tonight, my new 240W Green Beams light arrived. I had a brain dead moment being unable to dope out how to hang it, but I figured it out at last. I can put the driver outside the tent - they included an extension cord just for that purpose! I'm excited to use it, it is a higher quality light than I am using now. Just in time as the two big girls start to stretch!
3/1/22 - Day 23. February is over, thank goodness. Looking forward to the spring! It was a busy day - Shirley is living happily in the larger tent. Today, I evicted all the girls, dismounted the Bloom Plus light and mounted in its place the Green Beams 240. Giving up some wattage, but for a much superior product. I was able to drop the height and dial down the wattage to achieve 50 DLI for both of the girls.
Shirley is much happier in the large tent with her sister Claudette, but she's already starting to dwarf her - and she's five days younger. Nice! So, watered and settled in with a light that isn't going to boil them, perfect day in the grow tent.
In the small tent, Slowpoke the GG is looking good, BG1 has lifted her head and shed her helmet. Her leaves look a little odd to me, the tips are pure white. Still no sign of BG2. They have Audrey for company now. When they start to grow, I'll move the 300W to this tent, but turn it down low. At least that's the plan for now.
3/4/22 Day 26 for Shirley, The seedlings have all sprouted, Slowpoke pushed out a taproot and got planted into her 3 gallon yesterday. The pot is fuller - Shirley taught me a lesson there - and has coco which I used pH 5.8 water with Silica Boost, MagiCal, Sugar Daddy, Fish Sh!t, and Recharge with the base nutrient Grow Dots at 3 tbs, the "heavy" application for her pot size. I am holding moist coco/perlite for the next pot, which should be fairly soon. So all the seedlings are in the 2x2 with the 150 w light, and the larger plants in the 3x3 with the 240 w Green Beams light, and a small 20w supplemental UV/IR bar. Shirley is going hog wild. Fan leaves large as my hand, and though I think her FIM also failed (apparently I just can't cut low enough or something!) she has about 8 tops growing now, as she is responding well to LST. Those giant fan leaves show a bit of yellow at the edge, so she got foliar calcuim and will watch closely.
